hey avery again love the channel. I just purchased this revan hilt from saberforge. if you wouldn’t mind helping me with the parts that i’d need. I was on saberbay and was lost. the only thing i know i need is the proffie board or cfx board whatever you would suggest. I’d greatly appreciate your help. this will be the first of hopefully many of my own builds. Again thank you in advance 🙏🏻🙏🏻
love the channel love the builds. I’m in the very early stages of trying to build a saber. I would like to know how do you know what chassis is needed for the diffrent sabers. for instance what chassis would be used for the revan compaired to vader. Also i’m having a hard time finding sites to find chassis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Continue with the great work
You can find chassis options for hilts in a few different places, but most places that sell installable hilts already have chassis solutions for it or know of people who are making one for it. So I’d start by finding a hilt that has chassis support to it, if you don’t know, send the store a message. But places I know that sell chassis are: goth3designs, shadowfoilprops, thetacoshop, shtokcustomworx, solosabers, tierfonorbital, saberbay, thesaberarmory, and many others. And typically (pretty much always), a chassis that works for one hilt will only work for that hilt, and not any other. Even hilts of the same character, like Vader, can be very different depending on who made it and what version of vader saber it is. So hilts pretty much always have a very specific chassis made just for it
For the NPXL connector, it requires at the very least a single 22awg wire as the negative. 28awg is too small of a gauge to properly handle to load that has to go through the entire neopixel blade. So I either use one 22awg wire or two 24awg wires. I prefer two 24awg wires, since I won’t have to split it up when connecting to the soundboard. For proffie, I won’t have to split any of the wires if I use two 24awg, since it only had two negative pads for the npxl. For CFX, I would have to split the two 24awg wires into 4 since there are 4 color channels on the CFX
@@averycastillo thanks for explaining it so well, that was actually a typo as I meant to say 22 gauge but what you are saying about having to split it further down makes perfect sense. I really appreciate the detailed response.
i love the way you build these hilts.. so neat and clean. yes, with quality! i how i wish i can avail one of your loud and neat hilts.. thanks for the vid bud!
5:30 I wish I knew that because I just got my very first lightsaber and the buttons were rattling and I tried to tighten it but they fell out and I couldn't undo it and eventually got the chassis stuck in there where I couldn't get it out and broke the entire thing so I just threw the whole thing out the whole thing is ruined so I just wasted the money... if I saw this like 40 minutes ago I could have saved it... well lesson learned.
Another masterful build video. Thank you VERY much for sharing your knowledge.
I jst start seeing your channel. You have the most realistic chassis builds I seen so far

Hey man! Very solid build as usual :)
May I ask how your "mini vice" is called? I have been looking for something like that for ages.
Another great Build, just had a technical question, why the 2nd ground on the NPXL Connector? Could you use a single 28 Gauge ground?

Hi, How much does it cost to make his own saber like in the video ?

I just bought korbanth darth revan bundle. Do you make revan light v2 chassis?
Do you think I can upgrade the sound board on the kylo Ren Tigoola Pixel Lightsaber
Idk what a Tigoola is, but to upgrade the soundboard you’d need space in the chassis, or a completely new chassis that fits the new board
Hey Avery. How much would it be if I send you a Revan v2 for a install like this? Thank you in advance
At the moment I’m not taking on any commissions, but I’ll most likely announce it when I do. You can then message me on instagram or email
