You are my saving grace when it comes to “what should I watch?” ❤ I’m watching season one of From right now, and I was INSTANTLY hooked. My Labor Day holiday (here in the US ) plan is binge watching this intriguing show. The M&M’s are at the ready 😂
I think this is my top pick for the remainder of the year. Already saw Abigail, Strange Darling, Cuckoo, Longlegs, Love Lies Bleeding, and Lisa Frankenstein. I'm thinking Strange Darling might be my top, but such a solid year.
happy spooky season, as always thank you for all the updates. i’m super excited for From season 3, but there are a couple of movies and series that you listed that has me intrigued as well.
Sleep is really great - glad you could watch it finally! I am adding those to my to watch list: Booger, Monsters, Beezel, and probably this neon one from Ryan Murphy.
I saw a bunch of these movies during last years festival run. Booger and The Well did’t do much for me but Sleep is a fun ride! Very good mix of suspens and humor.
Oo also Birdeater is streaming in Australia on the 4th and I still don’t know if/when it’s coming overseas but I’m excited to share it with friends online finally!
The M3gan Fox movie leans more into the thriller territory, over horror, but it was a very easy watch. The pacing is pretty similar to ‘Til Death, and while there’s no need to rush to the theater, for those wondering, I’m also not angry in the slightest that I watched it. The last 30 minutes have some genuinely good thrills in store for those that stick with it. TBH, I could have easily watched 30 more minutes, but I’ll just hope that a part 2 comes out. 7/10
Thanks as always for the upcoming movies list, Emma. I always enjoy learning about new horror films coming out. I'm definitely adding to my watchlist Last Straw, Beezul, Amber Alert and Apartment 7A (been looking forward to that one for a while).
Waiting for your Beetlejuice Beetlejuice review and hope you can do Spoiler separately in other videos or just at the end of your Spoiler Free review. Thank you for this List See you soon.
One thing you didn't include is Agatha All Along. I adore anything about witches and I'm super excited to watch this. Looks like a good mix of fun and spooky.
Thank you for the great tips. I would miss so many films if it weren't for your channel. :) I´m putting Amber alert, Apartment 7A, Sleep, Succubus, Diner, Curse of the sin eater, Here after, The perfect couple and The well on my To watch-list.
I have a cat that has a black spot near her left tear duct and named her booger bc of it. That's so crazy. Never heard anyone name their cat that before.
Really appreciate the great effort you put into detailed videos like this… great to rewatch if I ever am in a horror mood, and my dumb ass forgets what worthwhile to watch spookiness (especially indie spookiness) is about to be released!
I know Rebel Ridge looks like a modern day version of First Blood. I'm looking forward to Apartment 7A, The Well, Don't Turn off the Lights, and of course, Subservience. I call that the adult version of M3gan, starring M3gan Fox. LOL!!!
Watched Subservience yesterday, not bad! I’m biased though anything Michele Morrone is in I’m watching 😂 looking forward to the Substance, Monsters; the Menendez brothers always fascinated me, I’m curious about From, & Booger & Apartment 7A both seem interesting
It’s whatever VOD platform you prefer, I like vudu and renting from UA-cam. Just google the movie once its been released and it will give you local options, they are different jn each country
Hi Emma, I just watched this list near the end of Sept Sat nite 9/28, so I really Appreciate it as all these films are out now. I've one request for Your future what's coming to VOD list, please really clarify which ones will cost money I think you try to by saying for rental VS. Which ones are free on streaming services as sadly I'm on low SSDI income & poor, so many I Want to see I Can't afford to Pay rent on top of All The streaming services I pay for monthly, and unfortunately I still pay for Comcast Cable, tho I Need to hopefully start a Free trial of UA-cam TV & see if I can stand it, in order to switch to UA-cam TV & Cancel cable TV, as it would be far less cosltly/Mo.
I know you don’t do the whole underground movie thing like Horrible Reviews but The Profane Exhibit finally will be available on Prime Video on September 24. I expect you to watch it because, well, it’s supposed to be the sickest, nastiest and most extreme anthology ever conceived. The trailer alone contains NC-17/X-rated content. I love a good endurance test lol as long as it’s not real. I’m actually very empathetic. I won’t watch Charlotte’s Net due to real animal torture and videos from those banned gore sites. I will give documentaries a chance (e.g., Earthlings, Orozco the Embalmer). I did check out Red Engineering. The feet and hand surgeries…..WTF!
You had me at Julia Garner. I loved her since (the underseen) "The Americans". Definitely will be checking out Apartment 7A. Plus, Rosemary's Baby is one of my all-time favourite movies. The way you described "Sleep", peaked my interest. Booger looks like a fun watch. I haven't seen anything from Heather Matarazzo since Scream (2022) and her previous role in the Ginger Snaps trilogy.
Apartment 7A looks promising but it made me realize Julia Garner is in so many projects that have to do with cults. This, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Electrick Children, and Waco off the top of my head. Is she ok lol
@@spookyastronauts Oh totally, and she's fantastic in everything she does! I'm jealous she got to work with Rory Culkin twice, though I can't lie, my opinion of him kinda took a hit when I found out he cheated on his wife:/
@@spookyastronauts Yeah:/ I went down a whole rabbit hole about it earlier this year. I think he's super talented, love all the projects he chooses, but definitely a bummer to find out.
I saw fear 1994 and was pissed because I grew up with RL.. and it was never that gory..the bread slicer of that girls head haunts me. Its worse than Bone Tomahawk head ax part. They make this as if its for kids. It is absolutely not!
Emma, can I just say that I’ve become a big fan, but I feel compelled to unburden myself of my suspicion that Willa Fitzgerald and Emma Roberts are the same person. They were allegedly born 3 weeks apart, and . . . They’re freaking identical? Am I wrong?
I know this channel is not a fan of the home invasion horror subgenre. But here in the USA, home invasions are quite an epidemic here, ever increasingly in rural areas in america.
why do they so insist on pre-quels to the stories that don't need one? lol Apartment 7A...why? the trailer doesn't make much sense, because they already have an antichrist born from Rosemary...so according to this they also had one (or more?) before? Weird...I might not get the story right, but the trailer makes us think that cultists don't even need Rosemary, lol
@@spookyastronauts no doubt about that. I never criticize actors, because usually not their fault...scriptwriters and directors or sponsors (big wigs from companies, CEOs, etc). And she looks really natural in the trailer. I will watch it anyway, just saying doesn't make sense much making a prequel to the iconic movie in terms of logic. I'd rather watch younger versions of the cultists coming down to the idea of plotting all the stuff from the first movie...THAT would've been a cool prequel, but I'm not a screenwriter 🫣. Also, thank you for all the videos!every helpful to have all the new horror/thriller movies in one video :)

'The Well' looks right up my alley. Thank u, Emma

That's a long festival run 😂😂
Some say it’s still running at festivals to this day 👻
Sleep is definitely a must watch Emma. It's my favorite horror film of last year. What a debut.
Ive been waiting SOOO LONGGG. Glad you loved it!
Hi Emma ! I'm really excited for Apartment 7A. It looks fantastic.
SO GLAD you’re watching FROM! It comes out on Sept 22nd here in the US :)
Watched Oddity last night. I liked it. The setting weirded me out. It's this big old stone house but you're only in 1 long room most of the film.
I loved it and also loved his first film, Caveat.
