Bro it looks good under there, I'd imagine you running over some poor bloke the view he'd have would be mint, especially if he makes it to the rear end lol Good humour 👌
Did you change out the engine mounts for Tuff Mounts too? I’m looking at changing out my engine and gearbox mounts for Tuff Mounts but don’t want it to be too harsh or annoying. I’m willing to cop some more NVH but just worried that it will be excessively harsh.
Yes I have tuff Mount engine and trans mount, at first the engine mounts will have a little bit of vibration but once they settle on it will fell like stock
I replaced a rear motor mount on my Mazda SP25 to a soft duro street mount and it was awesome. Much more direct drive power. But it did change the vibrations. Considering getting the engine and trans mounts for my SS from tuff. But would you consider it’s worth it? I am going to cam later on. We’re the vibrations so much it ruins your comfort?
Very good upgrade for these cars, the trans mounts are weak and break easy and you’ll have the peace of mind that you won’t have to replace one again, the vibrations aren’t noticeable for me, I thought it was going to be crazy but it drove like standard without vibrations. Just a direct feel
Don't do it. Just install brand new genuine items. My VE SS is cammed, OTR, full engine back exhaust etc etc and I did solid tailshaft and engine mount's and well pulled them out in 1 day. Put in brand new genuine items and just beautiful.
@Aidoz_Garage alleged. Don't be a smartass mate. Tarzia billet tailshaft couplings Torque master V series high performance engine mount's. Also mate I now unfortunately have MCA Pro Sport coilovers which are complete rubbish in comparison to genuine Holden item. Anyone who wants billet tailshaft couplings can have them for $100. They were $295 each.
Nothing is better than genuine part's. I too have tried different solid mount's and they are just rubbish. Vibrations like made. Any mechanic will tell you genuine part's are the only way. I've just installed MCA Pro Sport coilovers on my VE SS which with installation cost nearly $4000 and they are completely rubbish. Horrible ride even on softest setting of 12. Going back to genuine very soon.
There’s always going to be more vibrations from a polyurethane mount, there’s no getting around that. If you care about NVH then stock will always be the best option.
Keen to have a drive and feel the difference 💪
😘😘
Do you happen to know the torque specs of the 4 bolts that you took out at 4:20
Looks good

So far how is the mount holding up
Awesome

Wasn’t being a smartass lol was a genuine question, and I would never recommend bill it tail shaft couplings because they cause too much vibration
Do you recommend with stock mounts?
No
thanks for the video
No worries!

Interesting I have zero complaints it’s my tuff mounts, they have settled in now and can’t even tell the difference between stock

I can second this my built 6L caprice had tuff engine and th400 mount and was horrible had to swap out after 1 week of driving .
