Everyone knows being in the stands is being a part of history. My goal is to attend a game where that dude is pitching and hitting in the same game. I was to witness a historic career.

Shohei probably drew the biggest cheer for any player that was never a Mariner. And of course the Astros are booed, because if you can get away with cheating your way to a World Series title, you might as well be booed by the rest of the Major Leagues.
I think Seattle has a large Japanese- American population which makes Ohtani that much more popular there. Edit: not to say that other Americans also don’t adore him.

Random rant incoming but whose bright idea was it to have the kids stand so far apart? The players had to stretch to high five all the kids, so some players only gave high fives to the kids on one side (usually the right side). Have some common sense and have the kids stand closer together next time.
I know by tradition they usually have the color scheme of the teams city that their playing in that year but I feel like when every team gets their city connects they should make those the all star jerseys since the players are already representing their respective city by being at the all start game chosen by the fans of these city’s ..but iam pleased with this year’s jerseys whoever worked on those need a raise

It's a freaking shame they don't just wear their teams' jerseys. I used to love watching a game and see a cornucopia of team jerseys on the same team. It was a visual representation that these are the best of the best, a collection from around the league, not just one team. Now we just get the same jersey that no one knows and no one will remember by next year.
