I really like how simple this is! I can only imagine how much harder this will be in hard survival. I am going to make sure I use explosive-resistant blocks and build a cabin at the AFK spot. I don't want to be falling from or repairing ghast strikes! :- )

3 months late, but if anyone comes across this tutorial and has the issue with the Piglin dying, I gave it Armour and Name Tagged it and added another layer of walls with additional walls on each side of the slab and it seemed to have fixed the problem
Is there any blocks which help skeletons to go up the walls pls Check it out
Does this work on bridge crossings with roofs over them? I have a fortress about 80 blocks from my nether Portal, so this would be a good farm for me

bro, I thank you soon much for this farm, I was a very long time farming whiter skulls in the normal option, but after I see this video und build the same farme like yours, I got 45 skulls in a half hour.

Whats the point in the portal why not just make an open trapdoor fall pit like every other farm and kill then in the nether? Then you dont have to deal with two player afk or ticking chunks.
Is this not possible?
it works finding a fortress on chunk base was easy but getting there was a real pain.

Could you also make the afk spot 40 blocks below the farm?
if you have less spawn locations(blocks out of fortress) that will be ideal, just know that mobs spawn in 64 block radius (i think 48) if you set your render distance in world settings(and not global settings) to 4

so i made the farm above a lava pit and in a 4 way intersection. there is ground above it but i spawnproofed it. the skeletons will spawn but then they won’t see the pig and won’t walk towards it? what do i do?
Maybe remove the 2 bottom blocks on the afk platform

Hello but into that pit can fall not only wither skeletons but blazes and other mobs + afk spot is not safe because ghast can shoot and push you from the afk spot can you upgrade it? Or this will efect the farm?
For AFK spot you can ofcourse make a tube to protect you against blazes etc.

Just letting everyone know, this would probably never produce 60 skulls per hour, more like 15 per hour at MOST with looting three.
Still significantly better than just walking around and hoping.

this video is for bedrock version, i don’t think you can place anything on pistons in java

I have a doubt, this farm is of Version 1.20 and I build this in my world and when Minecraft's 1.21 version will come this farm will work or I have to make new farm
the only reason you would have to create another one would have to be if the withers skeletons no longer attack the piglin

I'm using a gold farm from 1.16/1.17 and it still works of course I had to modify it in the tiniest way
I think the only reason farms are worse in 1.21 is because of the way things spawn so you can no longer spider proof your farms but that isn’t an issue in the nether

Yes u can if u place it on most of the blocks around the farm more and I think only wither skeletons will spawn but btw I would recommend using chickens to get the wither roses it is the easiest way hoped this helped u
one a question, what if us build double surface
I use instead of a trident killer a fall damage trap it’s cheaper
to get a wither head to drop, it needs to be killed by a tamed wolf or a player. The trident killer involves a trident which is thrown by a player so it counts.
@@megamonga619but get them to drop 18 blocks or so, that way they're injured from the fall and easy to 1 shot them. That's what he means.
im not sure what the problem is but the clock works for a second then all of the redstone torches get broken please help!
Same issue I am having, i think it might be due to bedrock and we are on java, i am guessing you are on java.
Try placing a powered rail in the open spot instead of the torch

Is there a specific way to put to the Trident on the piston? Every time i do this the Trident keeps falling down and it all becomes useless....
Aim it at the piston lol
The Trident will come off the piston as it's supposed to. It will get pushed around by the piston damaging them as it gets moved around.
Wait, so you Really get the looting 3 effect if ur just holding it in a afk farm???
it works anytime you are holding the sword. i think it even works if you shoot a bow then switch to your looting sword before the arrow hits.

There's something called wither skeleton's spawning spots
This would be more easier
The problem is finding them
i did both of them but this one is easier
@@projectm.o.r.t8114lining the area with glass panes is one way to do it. Just go ~30 blocks away, wait 5 minutes then kill/slab the blocks with mobs on them. Repeat a few times and you should get them all
I followed the tutorial exactly but it’s not working, I was getting spawns during construction but now nothing is spawning near my farm, my lighting is fine, my piglin is in place and I’m 40 blocks away. Any idea what’s wrong?
Did you spawn proof the area around the farm?

If are the afk zone like in your vid, in that biome without ANY wall the ghasts are going to blow you out more than one time for sure, not safe.
And if its in survival..

It's simple but do I really have to get a trident?
Just trade a drown with a trident for a Shell to trade it you just need to drop the shell and the drown with the trident will pick it up and you get a perfectly good trident worlds on bedrock but idk about Java
If you want it fully afk, yes you need the trident.

Can I use iron golem instead of piglin
I don't think so.
The Piglin is there because is a nether "hostile" mob that only fights against the wither.
But the Iron golem is a non nether natural mob that, in fact, is hostile with all hostile mobs to villagers and players, that mean the golem is going to be focused not only by wither skeletons, focused too by ghasts, piglins, zombified piglins and blazes, so, ghe wither skeletons spawn in the fortress AND the blaze too, and if you are in the biome of the video ghasts too, so the golem its going to die always and the farm is not going to work.
How long must i wait?

Same
blazes normally do not attack piglins, but that might happen by accident, you can put wither roses on spawn spots(refer to silentwisperer design)
tip: withers spawn more in soul sand valleys!

No because the blazes will just kill the iron golem so u will keep on needing to replace the golem so use piglin
