FAQs - for those of you bright enough to read the description before commenting with the same boring questions ... :)
    - How old are you? - 30
    - Where do you live? - Surrey, UK & Cape Town South Africa
    - What hair product do you use? - Sea water and/or Ruffians Wax
    - What do you ask for at the hairdresser? - shorter on the sides than the top.
    - What breed of dog is Alfie & Georgie? - Tibetan Terrier
    - When did you start kayaking? - When I was 8 years old.
    - What do your tattoos mean? My star was just because I thought it looked good. My skull was my reward for winning the marathon world championships in 2010, my triangle on my hand reminds me to keep moving forward and make progress, and my turtle/Pura Vida tattoo on my leg is a reminder of my amazing time in Costa Rica. New tattoos - mountains on my arm & VV on my wrist because I didn't know what I wanted until 5 mins before I got them!
    - How do you make money? - UA-cam/Freelance film/photo & my clothing brand
    - Do you ship clothing world wide? - We ship to most countries.
    - What editing program do you use? - Premier Pro CC on Mac
    - Did you go to university? - No
    - Why do yo buy so many cameras? I'm a photographer & film maker, cameras / lenses are my thing.
    - Why aren't you training for kayaking anymore? - I see new opportunities everyday, I'm just grabbing them as they appear and keep working hard, right now that's UA-cam & Film. I'm happy I made the change!
    - How long do your vlogs take to edit? - They vary massively, sometimes 1 hour sometimes 6+

Seeing Mr Chris Hatfield answer a question about Nr 2s with such engagement makes me happy. That question was 100% legitimate and genuine. And no kid laughed or made fun of it. It just shows that these kids are very mature and clearly interested in their guest!

This video made me cry. What Chris said about you...Ben, he is absolutely right. You are an amazing person, who lets us explore the world and connect with other people through art in video form. I have been watching your videos for 3 years now, and I don't regret watching any of them. They are fun, entertaining, and inspiring. You deserve all the good things, and none of the bad ones hahaha. Keep on being you. And tell Nicole to give you a massive hug from me.

That cute little kid reacting to 80 million horsepower = me during this entire trip pretty much. :) He is all of us who were on that ship!!!
Ben - your awesome talk at the end was amazing. Tim also hit the nail on the head. I think all of us came into it without any real expectations and it ended up being on of the most life-changing experiences artistically and otherwise.
Also, Danny's songs about the ship = masterpieces. "everything screwed to the floor"...

I'm a 51 aussie surfer living in west sumatra, in a place where i could count the number of westerners i meet each month on 2 fingers. I found your channel about a year ago through searching for surfing vids in SA. I enjoyed a couple episodes, but drifted away as I had Ben pegged as just another youtube vlogger out for fame and fortune, nothing wrong with that, just not my cup of tea. This latest arctic series has been excellent, i have completely become a fan, and i have found myself digging around in the back catalogue. If I can make one suggestion Ben, it would be keep doing THIS!! I love the way you have shown 2 sides of the story. Sure its not cool to eat Narwhale - to our western sensibilities its offensive but these people rely on it for survival..well handled..i would have done the same. And Chris Hadfield's summary of Ben's role, may have even surprised Ben. I watched your vids on re-foresting in Africa (sorry forgot which country). Brilliant. You don't have beat people over the with an environmental message. Better to do it subtly and showing the human impact as well, mixed in with a lot of fun. Keep up the good work mate. Subscribed..

+Mr Ebola You're missing my point. Obviously most people are capable of not being dicks. That doesn't mean that you click with people easily though, or that you can easily strike up a conversation with a kid on a bike or someone else you just met. It doesn't mean that people feel comfortable around you and it doesn't mean that you easily understand and read a foreign culture so you can act respectfully in it... These are the kind of qualities I was referring to and some of the things I admire about Ben. :)

Wow, I've not watched much of your stuff (yet) but you're clearly a very nice fella - and what a lucky one at that...Chris Hadfield is a hero of mine (in fact many of the astronauts are) and to get the chance to meet and spend time with him, apparently initially not realising quite who you were dealing with, is just terrific...loved the video. I'm sure you will anyway but well worth reading Chris' book - the guide to life on Earth - brilliant read. Thanks for posting, keep 'em coming and sharing that amazing trip with us. All the best....and send my regards to Chris :0)

Everyone we encounter in life has the potential to mirror (reflect) aspects of ourselves which allows us to see and understand ourselves. Have as many adventures and meet as many persons as possible during your lifespan. Don't worry about your emotions. Share them. We're emotional beings. That's how you connect to us, through your emotions. You're Arctic vlogs are deeply touching many of us. Vlog and Instagram as much as you can. Thank you Ben. 👊👍😎👀

***** Your Arctic series has been awesome and inspiring to follow, but this vlog in particular was very moving.
I think that trying to be the best human being that you can be is such a great aspiration to have in life. Humans are capable of doing such wonderful things, and I think the reason that I enjoy watching your videos so much is that I get reminded of that every time I watch one.
It would be awesome to run into you around Cape Town man but thank you for your positive and inspiring attitude.
