It’s an excellent content, not boring at all: my feedback to Asir bro.
    1. This great podcast talks about why newer cars with lots of electronics won't last as long as older ones without them.
    2. It explains why there is no replacement for displacement.
    3. The podcast covers how to choose the right engine or technology for your needs, to get the best out of your investment.

The explanation was pretty good Asir bro. And also can you please host a podcast of reliable Turbo and NA engines available in the current market by segregating the models (SUV, mid-size sedan, hatch, etc) and price variants. I believe we’ve a podcast on engines but this specialisation on variants and prices would be more in-depth. Keep rocking as always. 🎉🔥

    20:53 true , i agree with this
Having honda city hybrid driven around 60k KM , always use to turn off adas when starting the car as my commute is around city and highways, but occasionally adas turns on itself while driving , even service persons cant able to diagnose it yet , every month minimum twice tho i will be getting this issue.
Better to have total kill switch for adas imo instead of programmable off.

Absolute Truth.. Really Great to talk about the Facts of Present Generation Automotive vehicles ( BS 6 Phase 1 & 2 )
eg. Ford Figo 2011 model TDI Engine ( BS 3) 1399CC , has only 68bhp@4000 rpm Power and 160Nm@2000 rpm, Torque , but the Spurt will be extremely good, feels like driving a sports car..
Today with 1493 CC Creta, ( BS 6 )114bhp@4000rpm power and 250Nm@1500-2750rpm.. Torque , eventhough the numbers sound good, but on practical driving, finds less Spurt and more complex especially DPF issues and engine waring symbol..
Automobile industries were initially Mechanical and Electrical..
and now it is more of Electronics with less mechanical..
In future , one can control the entire Electronic devices of the car by sitting in Room..

Hi Asir bro watching this Moto Cast , what you have talking about Engines and sensors we have facing the problem in Commercial vehicles what you have explained . Mostly 60% commercial vehicle operators are still using BS III & older model and Not interested to upgrade for BS VI vehicles due to sensor problems and fuel efficiency. Watching this episode I recall the problem we are facing. And another one thing i need to share with you bro ten years before we will tell non turbo AL Hino Engine are Best for fuel efficiency compare to BSII Engine, But now a days we are telling BS III is best fuel efficiency compared to BS VI Engines like we compromise our mind , in future we don't know 😅 ? . And bro don't get angry for telling examples with commercial vehicles because I don't have a car , so I don't have personal experience about cars. This year I am planing to purchase car . Thanks bro for this wonderful explanation about Vehicles 🎉❤.

Yes your doubt is valid for ADAS vehicle safety. But we have safety system which is called iso26262 standard which ensures all the safety systems are correctly developed and validated. One good example is accelerator pedal which has 2 accelerator pedal ensuring safety of the passengers by detecting errors and respond to errors. Kill switch will be used during testing of the vehicle when we are testing development software.

As you used to say , three cylinder turbos are suitable for highways and not cities, and that's the reason we chose elevate over taigun,
Yes tsi is one of the best 1 liter turbo in its segment, but when driving elevate and kushaq back to back you know the difference.
While driving the tsi , there is no time for relaxed driving in the city , your gear change has to be precise, otherwise the engine will labour , worst caee it might stall ,
Then turbos specially three cylinder turbos needs high octane petrol, needs combustion to be as clean as possible.
Whereas in the elevate the 1.5 NA was a bliss to drive, as it makes the 120 hp more linear.

Basic Engine , Transmission abd Clutch systems are more or less same in cars old or modern. But Modern cars are more reliable compared to old cars in case of improvements in areas in which the old cars gave trouble. For example starting old carb. car in cold condition is very difficult which has become history nowadays due to presence of computer and sensors. Old cars were totally mechanical which created frequent failures in running smoothly but made services easier. Carb. might get clogged, point contacts might get dirty. But modern cars have reduced these failures due to precision control using computer. But if cars are built with more and more addons like turbo, sunroof, AMT/DCT and many more thngs to make drivers lazy or aggressive then there are more chance of failure of any of these. It is not that modern cars wont run last for 15+ years. I have seen a Scorpio and i10 in my building renewed for next 5 years. It all depends on what the owner wants from the car. If he wants to have maximum fun ( with turbo and all) then enjoyments will last for less years. If normal controlled driving with less glamor then it will last for more years. As mentioned car selection should be according to the requirement ( கூழுக்கும் ஆசை; மீசைக்கும் ஆசை நடக்காது). Another example is AMT performance. Many have complained about juddering even in 10k km but there are people without problems even after 50k. The reason is aggressive driving ( like manual) is enemy of AMT( or any automatic )whereas it is designed for light throttle which many dont follow. Even in modern cars one can choose a car with less parts which turn into less failures.

This shows how well you know the current engineering .. you are questioning their life long efforts .. to answer your question ADAS - has a master switch to turn off on the cockpit .. also even after enabling you can still manually override .. the moment to press the brake the AEBS will turn off .. there is a lot of thought process .. don confuse th people which you don agree with ..
Coming back to sunroof - this shows you don like to get along with the current market trend .. it has a anti pinch feature it works everytime .. after listing to both this points I kind of ignored your next conversation.. please don repeat this ..

More electronics = increasing our problems by ourself. We have i20 Elite, so far we have not faced any electronics problem in this after 7 years .. However, previously we owned used VW Passat, our seat had memory function, and those buttons got wet during running in rain when driving with windows open. From there on, seat started moving while driving. - seriously dangerous situation (having seatbelts on, what if suddenly seat sets to far away position from steering, it could be even difficult to reach brakes for shorter people). Luckily I opened the button by myself and removed the wire from the chip. Our problem was solved, but we lost that memory seat function - never thought again of replacing it (Also it is VW, definitely would have been expensive). Once we faced brake sensor failure (I think ABS one), so had to replace for $250.

Car company mindset: Nala quality kudutha, neenga 15yrs vechipeenga.. Apram pudhusa yaar vanguva? Evlo years nanga wait pana mudiyum sales ilama?
Best example: two wheelers la kicker edhuku remove pananga? Weight, mileage, technology lam chuma.. Battery sales increase pana dhan.

As per your conversation abt cruise control button not working then what will u do..but actually the cruise control works until you apply breaks so even your button not working also you can stop the car by applying brake that' how electronics and mechanical combined
