Bro regarding the issue in xuv 300 turbo issue, as I said before three cylinder turbos have lot of parts to fail if not designed or quality controlled well. So for eg in our rapid diesel we have turbo issue after after 1.5 lakh kms, but it's normal for that age and kms and it's a diesel with a heavy build, but repairable and it will hold well if done properly.

Idhu illa ma, common issues are direct injection la carbon build up, cylinder head gasket failure, timing belt failure, worst case valve train failure,
So sub 4 meter la without many knowing, the market is converted to three cylinder turbo as a only option, so the best reliable turbo will have an advantage in the market sales in coming years.
So news enna na brezza is the highest selling suv of 2023 polla, it has a 1.5 NA

@@mseditz5975 quality wise they still have lot to improve, either mechanically or electronically. Compared to hyundai, Kia or Suzuki or Toyota. They started from trucks and buses as crude manufacturers, they initially bought their engines from foregin vendors and competitor brands and then build up from then on, even some of their other mechanicals too, now they are better off but still need to improve a lot compared to it's competitors. So should you buy a xuv 300 over a fronx booster jet?, it's up to you and be ready in case you need to fight

@@govarthananshanmugam2061 yes sir it's Atlantis group engine, it's one of the best performing three cylinder turbos in our market, it's performance is like a tsi from the Vw group, it's a turbo with Less trubo lag and on the point power delivery.
Regarding reliability, this engine had a unique issue, where the timing belt was immersed in oil, due to weight saving, less emission etc, but issue is due to bad quality belt, the belt started to shredd and pollute the oil sump, thus as you know a contaminated oil will lead to engine failure
Later they change the timing belt spec and supplier to rectify the issue, so this is a unique problem to the 1.2 puretech 110 turbo, or their non turbo engines whichever used wet timing belts.
@@govarthananshanmugam2061 in a way any three cylinder turbo you take, every engine has its own issues, so it needs to be taken care for proper life. As I said in the above comment, your three cylinder makes power of what a 1.5 Inline 4 will do, so need to be driven better and serviced better
My old scorpio 2006 crde had a wheel detachment incident at the speed of 90 kms per hour. A bye rider noticed that and informed me to slow the car and warned me not to use brake and saved two families and kids.

Tata motors are focusing only on sales and not on quality. Now a days many customers are experiencing fit and finish issues.
From a long view, car will give good look, but when you get closer, you will notice many issues.

Rightly spoken. I'm an owner of Tata nexon ev facelift model long range top end model. On road almost 21.5L. I'm quoting the cost just to let everyone know that it is filled with lot of issues. As of now front drl fogging, Wiper blade bends, buggy software, blown fuse are the issues that have been rectified. These happened on day 2 of purchase. Pending change is rusted engine mount A. Though the dealer is taking responsibility and changing these parts, it doesn't justify the poor quality control from Tata side. Steering buttons, door handles and several other plastics are of poor quality. If these sort of complaints are not sorted, I'm sure make in India branding will become similar to poor China mobile quality

I waited 3 months after booking Nexon Fearless Plus but i had to reject after PDI due to poor quality issues and manufacturing defects on rear passenger door alignment. Now waiting for new vehicle allocation.

I recently bought new Nexon with steel tyre with wheel cup. In one of the tyres, the wheel cup is hiding the mouth piece. Everytime I have to check air, i have to manually remove the wheel cup. Service center is not real responding properly. Enga poi alarathu
Just change the wheel cup in after market if the wheel cup alignment is the issue, it it's steel wheel then try to notify them, if it really bothers you Change it as a new one is cheap than
We cannot blindly support Tata & Mahindra just because they are Indian brands its stupidity also these people dont own these cars which is made after 2018. Both the brands have better sales only after 2018 but they have not improved in QC, service, electric, quality issues.

Some year back I owned Tata Vista D90 , for 50k km service , I spent 45K for that they given 50kg of iron component, problem is reliability, durability. Indian product should develop like Japanese product like toyota & honda.

Bro i agree to some extent but there is a cost of maintenance in my family we have crysta,altroz city idtec, compass and fluidic verna... the highest maintenance is only on jeep compass u can neglect that... but altroz is almost similar to compass think of it... actually maintenance is way more than expensive... we run a vehicle maximum of 4-5k for sure... but crysta and city are the least in maintenance and hassle free... if u really wanna see the diff get back ill show u every bills i have

But maintenance has nothing to do with engine failure or a part failure or a mechanical failure, the things gs bro discuss here is about failures which is not related to maitanence,
A turbo failure, or a engine oil leakage or a punch engine dying just like that is not due to maitanence failure
Or a headlight in a new nexon with issues, or a paint issue or a panel gap for that matter.
We changed injectors for our rapid tdi which is not maintenence failure, it's because vw has its issues with fuel in India.
For me it's about Tatas or Mahindras QC or design failures or bad quality

My new Ford Aspire broke down in 4 months from purchase, due to defect in master cylinder. Ford had no answer for this serious problem. They quietly changed the master cylinder free of cost during the warranty period. Therefore no need to say high about Ford's quality. Only thing I found was the good build quality.

They are number one "kidney thirudura" type dealer who said my ecu is gone and that they will replace it with another ecu for half the cost illegally. Thankfully, i had recorded that call. Then all $hit broke loose and i was directed by ford management to take my car to lakshmi ford thanjavur. But in recent times they are a mere service centre at trichy, simply quoting 2 lakhs for a 15k job. Ishtathukku they charge.

Maitanence wise both are similar, except direct injection la longterm la carbon build up irukum so service and maintenance nalla pannanum, and generally turbo engine oda life depends on how you maintain

Mahindra unreliable??? ... My father was in the driving business before , we had both Mahindra tourister and tata venture. Mahindra never broke down , it actually runs and runs and runs whereas we had so many problems with the tata vehicle. It's all perspective only , I have seen lot of Hyundai cars broke down middle of road. If you ask me if you service perfectly Mahindra will run surely half a million kms.

Japanese car manufacturers are reliable Toyota, Honda or Suzuki. Also MS is improving on safety side from Fronx, Grand Vitara and New-Gen Baleno. German cars have great quality but their India specific models are not that great compared to old-gen Polo, Rapid or Vento. But they too have reliability issues and high running cost.

Check for Ertiga, Brezza, Honda elevate base model with aftermarket music system & alloy wheel(I personally thinked on Elevate).
If you can compromise over mileage, Elevate will be the choice. If not, you can go with sonet diesel MT, but pls check with the kia service feedback over ur area brother.

All these issues are exist in brands like Mercedes, BMW etc... My friends friend brought Mercedes brand new model, later he faced coolant pump failure in 5000km. When he inquired to service center they said they will replace as part of manufacture warranty but no response from them about the failure reason.

Mahindra cars are very very reliable. Except the xuv 300/3xo none of the mahindra cars has issues. I have seen many Scorpio and bolero ran more than 4 lakh kilometres.

I can't say it will last 10 years like a 1.5 4 cylinder, but in general it's life depends on how you maintain it
My recommendation is go for maximum extended warranty
And these turbos are not for the longhaul and it's for doing 1 lakh in 5-7 years and disposing it

Its a tried and tested Atlantis group engine, reliable thaan, it's how you maintain both are three cylinder engines. But service is less. These engines had its issues too, like cylinder timing belt failure causing engine failure before and now it's solved, turbos failure etc, but all these issues were solved when these were running in Europe itself.

Bro new car which is ready for delivery had dent can you believe with mahindra. This could be the issue with dealership but when asked they try to convince us stating someone opened the door and it is a slight impact. And they said one more thing for convincing since we are in chennai we should get use to this :) this is ridiculous. Instead of answering why there is dent and why the vehicle is neat, and they make the interior dirty in the name of cleaning etc they said we have to start living with this in chennai funny.

Tata always had reliably issues. Even 30 years ago when they were making swanky new buses to compete against Ashoke Leyland, their busses were an unreliable mess. I don't see them changing anytime soon.

Mahindra service issues not only in car but also in club Mahindra. they are not reliable. They always put the problem on customer even in club mahindra is one of the reason customers going out. If you still try to fight they will threaten customer that they will put defamation case :) as long as no issues on mahindra vehicles owners are lucky. If issues occurs, if owner has luck may be some one can help or else as you guys mentioned they put all problem on customer and escape.
