    I love the fact that I noticed that as a left handed person they draw on the left side first. And have to make their hand be on an angle where it doesn't smudge what they did. I do that too😂

    I do not know why, but I came here expecting you to do it on GIMP. I'm impressed by your skill, I like it very much.
    Small curiosity: what does the stamp mean?

    • @RonnieTucker1
      @RonnieTucker1  7 років тому +3

      Well, I have done some GIMP art videos in the past. So that's probably why you ended up here. :D
      The stamp (I'm told) means something like 'Lon-ni' (or Lon-nie/Lon-nee) which is about the closest I can get to Ronnie (in Chinese).

    • @GianlucaCasu
      @GianlucaCasu 7 років тому +1

      Ronnie Tucker makes sense :D do you reckon you could obtain the same result using GIMP?

    • @RonnieTucker1
      @RonnieTucker1  7 років тому +1

      I'd say yes. You can. Might be easier to use MyPaint though as it has some nicer brushes by default.

    • @bobbywillard7439
      @bobbywillard7439 6 років тому +2

      Most modern day Chinese and Japanese artists use a stamp as a symbol, adding in writing their own name. Its usually found at the bottom right hand corner.

    • @RobertHopkinsArt
      @RobertHopkinsArt 6 років тому

      Did you get your stamp ordered from Amazon or somewhere else? I am considering doing this as well for my artwork. I like this look of using a stamped signature. Really nice work! Very similar to some of Wu Guanzhong's art.

      It's a set of Japanese sumi-e brushes. You can get them from Amazon/eBay.

    what kind of paint is used for paitings like these? very beautiful, though!

    • @RonnieTucker1
      @RonnieTucker1  5 років тому +3

      It's done using traditional sticks of solid dry ink that you grind on a stone (with a drip of water) to create liquid ink. Adding more'less water controls the transparency/opacity of the ink. This means you get blacks/greys.
