I love the fact that I noticed that as a left handed person they draw on the left side first. And have to make their hand be on an angle where it doesn't smudge what they did. I do that too😂
Beautiful! Having tried sumi-e myself I could tell you that I admire your control. Mine attemps doen'st look so neat ;p It's watercolor paper that you are using?
I do not know why, but I came here expecting you to do it on GIMP. I'm impressed by your skill, I like it very much. Small curiosity: what does the stamp mean?
Well, I have done some GIMP art videos in the past. So that's probably why you ended up here. :D The stamp (I'm told) means something like 'Lon-ni' (or Lon-nie/Lon-nee) which is about the closest I can get to Ronnie (in Chinese).
Most modern day Chinese and Japanese artists use a stamp as a symbol, adding in writing their own name. Its usually found at the bottom right hand corner.
Did you get your stamp ordered from Amazon or somewhere else? I am considering doing this as well for my artwork. I like this look of using a stamped signature. Really nice work! Very similar to some of Wu Guanzhong's art.
Good evening! I painted a picture according to your lesson. Please tell me if I can post this picture (which I drew) on my Instagram page? I will put a link on your channel.
It's done using traditional sticks of solid dry ink that you grind on a stone (with a drip of water) to create liquid ink. Adding more'less water controls the transparency/opacity of the ink. This means you get blacks/greys.
idk why but im really fascinated by left hand artists

Ronnie Tucker makes sense :D do you reckon you could obtain the same result using GIMP?
I'd say yes. You can. Might be easier to use MyPaint though as it has some nicer brushes by default.

There were 47 comments. But now i commented. This is a special occasion, as this is beautiful Japanese scenery. But 47 marks the 47 Ronin
what kind of paint is used for paitings like these? very beautiful, though!
