  • Twenty-one surgeries by age thirteen. Years in the hospital. Verbal and physical bullying from schoolmates. Multiple miscarriages as a young wife. The death of a child. A debilitating progressive disease. Riveting pain. Abandonment. Unwanted divorce.
Vaneetha Rendall Risner begged God for grace that would deliver her. But God offered something better: his sustaining grace.

REALLY?? 16 'Thumbs Down' for this incredibly moving and convicting testimony, and this woman's continued commitment to Christ in spite of all she's been through, past and PRESENT? And a viewer who says this woman is living in 'Unrepentant Sin' because she remarried AFTER her ex-husband became involved in an adulterous affair and subsequently filed for divorce from her? (Though according to him, the remarriage would be 'OK' if the adulterous husband who filed for divorce had since died...) We have some really POOR understanding and exegesis of The Scriptures here!! If anything, this video moved me not to criticize and 'condemn' this woman, BUT, to CONVICT ME of MY SIN of SELF-PITY and INGRATITUDE for what Abba Father has allowed into my life for HIS GLORY and my ultimate benefit..... Thank You Vaneetha for being so open and vulnerable!

      2 Corinthians 5:17-21
[17]Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
[18]But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].
[19]It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).
[20]So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.
[21]For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

Wow! And I thought I had problems and difficulties! Just because I have to wake up to a crying baby in the middle of the night. Healthy, beautiful children. This Sister lost her baby. Just because I have had marital difficulties and strains. This Sister's husband left her for another woman. So either I am shallow and need to grow up or I am just ungrateful. Whatever tbd case, Father, forgive me for my impatience with my children. They are gifts and treasures. Forgive me for complaining about my husband and disrespecting him. He is a gift. Thank You for the food work You have done in this dear Sister. May the works of God indeed show forth in her and May Your Name be glorified! Praise You Lord!

This is very much like what I grew up hearing from my own mother. I had a sister who died in a drowning accident right before her first birthday, and as a child I asked her repeatedly about it. She told me more than once, "Although losing your child is an inconceivable loss and not something I would wish on anyone, it was worth it to experience the intimate comfort of God and His nearness in that time." The unspoken theology behind this statement made a huge impact on me and her care for and witness to me is the single worldly reason I know the Lord. May we all parent our children this way, in the admonition and instruction of the Lord, teaching them at all times that HE, and not the blessings, is the treasure.

I like how she kind of answers the purpose right after that, too:
“I think it was God’s grace to give me suffering because it has made me deeper, and made me love God- and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.”
      Powerful.

I just finished Vaneetha's second book, Walking Through Fire. Hearing Vaneetha's voice tell her journey of suffering and watching this video brought tears to my eyes. I so appreciate Vaneetha's vulnerability and authenticity in sharing. I am grateful for how she points to the Lord God and the truth of who He is and how He walks with us through suffering, when we call out to Him, as God did that for her. Thank you for this video.

I am reading your book --The Scars that have Shaped Me---I have severe Lupus--have for 36 years--very much organ damage--to the point that the doctors say there is nothing left to be done. Well, I am still here. I moved from Ar. to Ca. in 2014 due to the fact that my parents were in their 90s' and were tired-but very active. I moved in with my oldest son and family. New MDs' couldn't believe I was alive--no medical reason. I told them it was God. None are Christians. I pray the Holy Spirit will move in their hearts.

I was blessed to hear Vaneetha's testimony. In my life my life I suffered many troubles some of which were traumatic. I didn't know how I was supposed to see them in the light of God's goodness. I couldn't admit God forbid that I was angry with Him and couldn't see Him as a loving God. I was afraid that He would hate me more for expressing the anger that was in me towards Him. I am now encouraged to be honest cry out to Him and keep depending on Him until I get a breakthrough. Thank you for sharing her story. God bless you!

Vaneetha Rendall may the Almighty God bless you.You have really encouraged me to follow God and trust him to overcome my sinful nature.I have been going to church, bible studies, listening to christians sermons and music but for the last week I totally messed up.Its like I had never been saved or born again,I could not stop my mind which led me to prostitutes again...I felt a lot of guilt the 1st time but the next day i did it i enjoyed it...back in my mind i knew it was wrong and a sin against God...so for the last few days I have been trying to pray and ask God for forgiveness, I want to be at peace with God again but I don't know if he has forgiven me or even if he hears my prayers anymore...I have been asking myself was I really born again?am trying to avoid condemning myself and giving the Devil a chance to put me down completely but i don't know how to face God again...and i also fear he will punish me for the rebellion i did because sin has got consequences...What next for me?how do i repent again???

We sin every day, my friend. Every single day. God knew all of your sins before you were born and yet He still died for YOU. He loves you. Ask God to change your heart and the way you view sex. Ask Him to teach you His truths and repeat them to yourself when you are tempted. Look at your circle of friends. Are these people building you up or just putting you in temptation? Take an internet and social media fast. We don't understand how deeply these things impact us but they are huge ways we can be tempted. And finally, take heart. You have brothers and sisters all around the world who are struggling just like you. But, remember that Jesus loves you. He wants you to just come to Him and say, "God, I know my sins are many. I can't do this alone. Help me to live the life you've called me to live." Jesus died and rose again to redeem your life and to give you a new one. That promise is still for you no matter how many times you mess up. Take heart. Jesus has overcome the world and everything in it. His victory is ours. You're a child of God and an heir of the kingdom of God.

el shakes you repent by believing the gospel again, the first time you repented is the same way you always repent, repentance is to change your mind, to renew your mind, to trust Jesus more and again, you don't repent by not getting with prostitutes, you repent by changing your mind Over and Over again about the gospel about God's word, that's the recipe for life in the Spirit to stop getting together with prostitutes. relationship with God and the love towards you no matter what, is the ingredients for you overcoming sin. a person born again cannot go on sinning, he overcomes it because he has someone in him who defeated sin. the time between now and overcoming that sin might be weeks, months, maybe a year, maybe 2 weeks, maybe 8 months who knows. but don't deceive yourself, know who you truly are when you sin and know who you truly are in between you sinning, don't think too much or too little of yourself and others. pass on grace to the person who's falling and struggling when you overcome this

    • @will95515
      @will95515 7 років тому +3

Brother, you need to be motivated by your love for Jesus. Are you going to love Him more or love your sin more . You need to decide. And cast down every thought and feeling the comes not from God. Your allowing yourself to be led by ungodly thoughts and feelings. Rebuke them in the name of Jesus and walk in the path of His peace and His joy. In addition, start serving Him and others. Share the gospel. Jesus broke the power of sin. Don't listen to these people telling you you're a sinner and your just going to go around sinning everyday, that's from hell. God now calls you to be a saint and has given you power through the Holy Spirit to help you. It's not a powerless gospel. Resist the devil and he will flee

Vaneetha, thank you for sharing your testimony and your book. I listened to you on Abigail study and Heavenly Father used your testimony to speak deeply to me. I have an entire page of notes and downloaded your book to read. I cling to your sharing: Giving up the right to hurt someone who is hurting me. We are never as much like Christ until we are willing to suffer for the sins of others. (Profound) I can rehearse what was done to me or I can release it to God. God weighs your trials to the ounce. (the tears were streaming down my cheeks) There are angels and demons watching at all times in the spiritual realm. I wouldn't trade places with anyone to be this close to Jesus. God rescues us in the midst of trouble, but not from it. Again thank you for sharing your heart and testimony and that Heavenly Father in my time with him, gave me your message to listen to. I truly see how much you are loved by God and how you are loving him right back. XOXO

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

THIS VIDEO IS COMPLETE NONSENSE !! I adore this woman's strength to fight and move forward with her life, but to say @ 9:14 that God is responsible for her suffering would imply that every time anyone suffers, it's because of God. Also this contradicts sculpture which says " The power of the world lies in the wicked one" which is Satan. Satan is responsible for suffering not God. To say God is responsible would also contradict ' God is Just ' !!!

Fellow brothers, is her first husband alive? If yes, even with all encouragement from this story, the Bible shows that she is living in adultery (Luke 16:18 - if you read it without all "theology" but with simplicity and respect because Jesus is the one speaking there).
Does not matter how touching or helpful it may be, it is Satan strategy to make real sins look like something common.
