- Sherif is a theology professor at Alexandra School of Theology in Egypt. He shares how he and his wife, Marian, struggled to entrust their daughter, Nelly, to the Lord as she underwent heart surgery.

If you are reading this. Don't lose Faith. God has a plan even when things look so dark that we cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. For all things work together for good for those who love God. He Knows your pain and he sees you. Don't take your life. Trust in him with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

That's what makes it even more difficult! I have an incurable disease. I have lost so much because of it, relationships, my career, probably my future life partner. My life is a mess right now. This has strained my relationship with God so much.
How to understand why God has to be glorified in one’s suffering?
The purpose of life for the Christian, "conformity to the image of Christ." That statement at the end of this sums up everything. Your will, oh Lord, as you see fit.
It's so easy to say when we are comfortable, but Job sat in the rubble of his house and dead children and said
"We have recieved good from the lord, shall we not also accept evil? The lord giveth and the lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the lord"
And in all this Job did not sin with his lips
Even imagining it gave me great pain, but to go through it? No way!

I totally understand this . My son was v sick when he was 3 we almost lost him . It was the Lord who saved him n gave us strength to care for him. Today 13 years later I will tell others if I ever have a chance about our testimony. Many tell me don’t mention the past anymore it’s over but to me it’s reminds me of how good He is no matter the situation . Now my son is a tall 16 year old living like any normal child n the doctor who saw him told me it’s a miracle. To God b the glory.

Even in my distress and pain keep trusting God. He has a plan, He is faithful, He helps us, He is trustworthy. Thy will Lord not mine!
Trust God always and FEAR NOT.
This brought tears to my eyes. As a father I can tell you that the scariest and most horrifying thought is "what if something happens to my child?". However, God's Sovereignty and divine providence truly does provide comfort to believers because if that question ever becomes a reality, then we can trust that there is a purpose behind it.
There is no purposeless event that occurs in our lives. Everything has a purpose. For us who have been called by God, who love Him, all those potential disasters, calamities, heartbreaks, difficulties, pains, tragedies, losses, etc., are working for our ultimate good.
Only an all wise and sovereign God can do that. Let us therefore place our trust and faith in this Great God and King who has carefully interwoven every event onto the tapestry of our lives, so that when He ultimately turns it over to reveal the end product, it is one that will demonstrate His glory.
Not me breaking down in tears at the beauty, power and sovereignty of our God😭🥺🤧 He’s beyond comprehension, further than imagination. Who has seen a God besides thee? I’m speechless 🤦🏻♂️😫😶
what an inspiring story of faith...when my mother died recently of covid, its natural to think: "what if there's no covid, would she be still alive?"

Thanks for sharing this. My wife and I lost our second baby. He had a heart deformation and died one month later. But God was working in us to love Him more and He become to be theTreasure of our heart. The love of Christ in those moments became real through His Word, the pastor, and His church. Thanks to God for His amazing grace for us.

Amazing Story... The sufferings in our life are meant for us to be conformed in the image of Christ.

This part was really painful, but it's truth all the same... God is indeed sovereign in all things and may we always be reminded that everything that is happening in our life is all under His control.
The day my young daughter died, Father spoke to me in audible words (only time audible) when I asked why? He also healed me from head to toe, from the trauma that my eyes had seen. He then gave me a powerful Holy Spirit covering & comfort (without prayer) during my most crushing moments of grief. This lasted about 3 months. He is kind, loving, forgiving & amazing.., He is love. I know first hand that He is near the broken-hearted. 🙏❤🕊
I'm so sorry for your lost. Your testimony is very heart warming. I also have known how He is near the broken-hearted. ...Can you share what the Father told you when you asked why?
At the end, "to be like Christ" and that smile on the face, was priceless..Nothing is as beautiful as the Name of Jesus!!

"YET......God was doing something" that hit me
My wife had two miscarriages it’s been over a year now maybe almost 2 and I have been wandering through life now bitter and sinful and depressed and running away from God instead of coming to him feeling like he’s been silent or mean. I haven’t picked up my bible in so long. And sometimes I’m not wanting to live anymore. I want to believe there’s still hope for me. If you’re reading this please say a prayer for me

Suffering and pain and death especially death is so traumatizing. I was so helpless and nobody were there to comfort me. I dont known why I was chosen for that. Why I was put in that position. I did not dona great job. I wish I could have done better. In being more stronger, more boldness, more courage. I didn't even get the time to shed tears so that I can build myself up. I had no time to shed tear. Everyday was a tragedy. Everyday there was bad news. He suffered for a month and passed away.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful testimony, God is great and in control of each aspects of our lives. Sufferings helps us to become mature as a child of God or rather grow in the Lord and learning to trust and obey Him more. This Story of God's mercy and faithfulness is close to something we experienced when our 3rd child was born and then put into intensive care where his lungs was not fully developed and Dr. we're not giving any hope, it's during these times our faith was put to test and we remember the same statement "Lord you are the one who gave Him to us and you have the full right to take Him back or let Him live and be an instrument for your Glory" God choose to spare his life and now he is 4 yrs old and completely healthy by God's Grace.
Amen, sovereign Lord, use all things together for the good of those called according to your purpose, for those you predestined you justified them and glorofied to conform us to the image of Jesus to your glory

I pray everyday and only get answers in that I've only had two nightmares lately,and I read the Bible everyday.
You're not alone. I used to pray everyday as well and it was always a one-way conversation. I never once got a reply, not even in the form of a simple yes or no.
I lost my Dad. Blame myself taking him to a hospital which he insisted towards the end to transfer him to a different hospital but it was too late. I don't know if God would reveal to me what happened that night when he died. It's going to be 1 yr anniversary this october 19th.

Im so deeply sorry for your loss Sandhya. We have similar stories. Lost my Dad May 1, 2021 and he too wanted to leave the hospital. The guilt felt excruciatingly painful, but God continuously replaces it with peace as Holy Spirit reminds me of Psalm 139. He knows the number of our days sis. We have 0 control over the last day on earth for anyone. Have peace in that. God bless you! And one thing to always note - something Holy Spirit taught me during my visits to my Papi in ICU .. “all around you, you see death, but in the spirit there’s life everlasting.”
