I don't know why every time she played against Serena she is the queen of confidence and she never doubts her shots. She was just attacking, attacking and attacking Serena every opportunity she could get. Every time she plays against other players you can see that she doubts herself a lot. She overthinks where to hit the ball, she plays safe tennis and hits the ball directly back to her opponent. She played a lot of defence when she was in her 30s which obviously is not a great strategy. I feel like she had bad coaching with David Witt. He should have told her to attack more, less defence and to always believe in her shots and play against any other opponents the way she play against Serena.She completely changed her game when she hired Eric in 2019 and I was like, well its about time. But by then she wasn't the same player anymore. If only she would have hired Eric earlier. I am sure she is not complaining because at the end of the day, she has an amazing career and I am not trying to take that away from her. But I always think, if only she didn't stick with David that long. She could have achieved a lot more.

I would say they should retire, because they are no where near the same players they used to be anymore, but the WTA is still not great atm so they still have decent chances at making it deap in slams.
