I'm back after 18 years. In fact, when I saw the video, I felt like I was going back in time. Here, Maria had won her first Grand Slam at just 17 years old. An incredible talent. Serena was then 23 years old. 6 years the difference was between the two then. I miss seeing Maria on the field playing. She will always be in the history of tennis!

Hingis won it at 16, in 1997, and was world number 1 at 16 too. Women don't generally grow much more physically after age 16-18. So a woman can sometimes be the same height and strength at age 16-18 as she is at age 26.

This is one of the most impressive wins in the history of women's tennis and certainly the moment that inmortalized Sharapova's succesful career. I know her since her young career and personally she’s one of the best on tennis history. It just tragically the injury comes too soon and affecting her games so much. The haters just too blind and never want to try to admit her goodness.
At the end of the day, it’s not only all about techniques and skills because tactics and how to be smart is one of the key to be a champion. And with all of the changes because of major injuries I think Sharapova did a good job.

For 11 years in a row, Maria Yuryevna Sharapova was the highest paid female-athlete in the world. It is estimated that she garnered a gross income of $285M dollars since her tennis career began in 2001. Her wealth comes not only from tennis, but also from various brand endorsements and additional business ventures. She is married to a handsome guy and has a son, Theodore. I think 20 years of tennis is more than enough for any woman to have to endure before she retires and is welcomed into the loving arms of her family and friends. I mean, really??
