I purchased this same watch while I was in the US Navy in 1978.
I payed about $350.
I just got my diver certification last year while in Hawaii.
A tip : watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

Yet another brilliant video, this guy just can't make a bad one! The Ploprof to me represents Omega at it's purest. Forget the Moonwatch, Omega to me is all about dive watches, and the Ploprof is the king!

@@Swiss-Yoghurt I own both Ploprof and Bullhead [new version both], they are both fantastic timepieces and great conversation starters . I ended up upgrading that cheap strap on the bullhead with a ploprof clasp and a black mate leather custom strap and really love it.
@@MarsAlexandre that s awesome my friend. I wound up getting the bullhead with the rallye dial and I love it. However the strap is not of my liking and I might just update it like you did.
Nice review. This is one of my all time favourite divers (I've got a big thing for 70s divers). It's one hell of a chunk of metal.

I have the Proplof 1200m stainless steel version with rubber strap and quite honestly it feels a lot more comfortable than my Rolex Deepsea 116660, perhaps due to narrower lug distance and much wider band. The Deepsea is top heavy but I prefer wearing it daily though.

Top-notch-watch. I fantasise about owning one. Looks fantastic on a shark proof. The orange strap is a bit much, unless your actually diving, and that watch dont need a date. But wot a watch.
HI Dylan, happened to come across you channel last week and have been binge watching content on watches I would like to add to my (small) collection. Weird (but serious) question perhaps; but how does a young guy like you know so incredibly much about watches? Where you born into a jewelry family i.e being around watches basically since birth? Amazing reviews, really enjoy them.

Cool watch... definitely not an everyday watch though.
The dials are tiny for such a big watch. The Chromalight on Rolex isn't fantastic and all the Instagram photos of 'lume shots' are after it's been under an ultra-violet lamp, usually a bank note checker. Naturally, it only fluoresces like that after exposure to midday sun with concentrated U.V. You could review an all stainless steel Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, you never see those and then just with the sail cloth strap and deployant and not the bracelet.
