- Good grief we struggled through this trailer. Even Katie struggled to get through this without stressing, especially when i start theorising what kind of storylines could be coming up between Colin and Penelope. What kind of things do you think could happen in the next season of Bridgerton?

Colin is the Bridgerton that is meant to be the most charming. He isn’t a rake by definition even though he does have experience in the department, but he is incredibly flirty and likable.
Colin is the Bridgerton with the largest… appetite.

Luke Newton; who plays Colin, said in an interview back in February that you have to know your Bridgerton history when you watch season 3 because it incorporates stuff from the book (‘Romancing Mister Bridgerton’).

All right, so! This is me cracking my knuckles to share some things as someone who discovered Jane Austen as a teenager and fell deep into the period/costume rabbit hole in the years that followed.
Some of the more "accessible" Austen adaptations would definitely be the 2005 Pride and Prejudice (iconic), the most recent adaptation of Emma (really fun and colourful), and my all too overlooked darling Northanger Abbey (2007). If you want to branch out after that, there's a whole world of Brontë sisters, Elizabeth Gaskell, and Thomas Hardy to move into (2015's Far From the Madding Crowd is another great watch that I highly recommend). There are a ton of great mini series out there, but I would recommend starting out with some of the movies to test the waters.
As for the comments about Colin being the thirtiest Bridgerton man, I think it's not so much that he is the most desirable (even though he is the biggest flirt according to the books - never a rake though) but more that once those romantic feelings towards Penelope are activated he becomes completely unhinged and is at 110% at all times with how much he wants her. In the show, Colin and Penelope had always crossed the rules of propriety (exchanging letters as two unmarried youngsters? For *years?* First names? Taking her hand in front of the entire ton and taking her to a room to speak to her in private? Scandal!), so you can imagine how Colin would act when the brakes are truly off. I haven't read past the fourth book in the series, but I know that he is affectionately known as Colin "My Wife" Bridgerton moving forward.
That said, the series is moving away from the books more and more as we go on, and there have already been some big changes in terms of plot. I wouldn't worry about book readers already knowing everything that's going to happen, because... They don't. This whole "let's find Penelope some suitors" plot? Not in the books. Eloise and Penelope falling out? Never happens. I know it's been said that book readers are going to love this season, but I reckon it's probably more like references and easter eggs - not following the novel more closely than they've previously done.

She took the money from the LW account and pretended an aunt had died and the family got the money. She took out little bits of money not to much that it would draw suspicion. She had help from her fathers solicitor that found her first written template and liked it and put in all the things she needed (bank account, negotiating w the publisher etc.)
