I burst out laughing at your reaction to Colin's first shirtless scene. Same. I needed a moment. 🤪🔥❤️ And yes - not fake dating like S1. I'm always surprised people think that. He's her wingman/confidence coach - think Hitch meets Regency. Lol 😆
8:01 Just for clarification, that man that was making eyes with Violet wasn’t Will (the Duke’s friend). That was someone else, Marcus Anderson. All we know about him so far is he is from Lady Danbury’s past
CLARIFICATION it is NOT like simon and Daphne at all. Simon and Daphne pretended to court and be interested in order for her to look desireable. Colin just introduces her to people and helps her out
I loved season 1 until I saw season 2 (the storyline, more psychological, emotional) got my jaw dropped and the chemistry between Jonathan Bailey & Simone Ashley got me in my feelings... season 2 is it for me - YASSSS Colin is FOINE!!!!!!!!! But let's not digress and forget how he's been with Penelope for the past 2 seasons... team Penelope --- I can't wait to find out about Violet Bridgerton's love interest, seems like the men are finer this season
Exactly. I read book RMB and was like - they changed the whole premise!!! Lol. It's 90% different as far as I can see from trailer and promos. IMO is setting this up to be 10x more dramatic. And I'm ready❤🎉
Books are actually not better I’m going to be so real. 😂 it’s definitely the rare occurrence of the adaption being the improved version. I’m not a book snob either, I read lots of junk food indulgent books, but the Bridgerton series kind of feel juvenile? I also cringe whenever the author pulls out a $10 word from the dictionary and misuses it. But she usually gives up on flowery vocabulary at the midpoint and it’s a fast breezy read to the end. Also some beats in the book are highly questionable like…morally. I’m surprised they kept that scene of daphne and the duke from the books in the series where she sa’ed him. They could’ve adapted that as some kind of psa or lesson in…Yk saying something like: ‘please!!!don’t assault your spouse while they’re drunk or EVER omg??? Consent, kids.’ But they just glazed over it. Can’t wait for s3, romancing mister Bridgerton, to me, in the most enjoyable read from the books, anyway. There’s a few beats I didn’t like, So if they improve on that it’s gonna be so good!
Yup agreed. I read VWLM first and then DAI, in college 20 years ago. Don't remember much of Anthony's story. Loved DAI until the SA happened. It left such a sour taste in my mouth I never read another of JQs books. I just read RMB in anticipation of S3 and I thought the writing was very good, banter is on point, it's funny and romantic. However, Colin’s "temper" - not cool. So I think the show will be better and the premise is already much more dramatic. Can't wait!
@@wittleMermaid13 I already know the rmb plot is gonna be improved with the added marina tension. If he does lose his temper, it’s a bit more personal and justified in this retelling. Like he really was complaining that whistledown wrote that he was like this dashing and well liked/popular person in a shallow way. He gets offended, I suppose, because he wants to be taken seriously, but bro that ain’t even bad.😭 Like…him getting all weird and jealous about pen being distinguished as a writer or losing his temper and it just dragging on and on was so stale and off to me. I’ll be honest, all the other books didn’t resonate with me. Kate and Anthony’s book I remember being just that: forgettable and not that substantial, so I’m sure from my recent watch of s2 that it likely was improved because I enjoyed it, even if it’s not my fave story. With the rmb book, I remember my first impression of the book was ‘this feels like fanfiction of a possibly better book.’ I was reading on my books app so I genuinely thought I might’ve got a fan made book and the real one evaded me. This was my first impression of my favourite of the Bridgerton series 😭 I enjoyed it by the end, but idk I didn’t feel fully satisfied? It’s why I’m excited for the new season. I think they’ll add more padding to the plot and pace it better. They casted a beautiful and perfect actress to play pen that is humorous, charismatic and likeable. It helps she has chemistry with her love interest so my dead heart is actually excited for some melodramatic romance television!
No not the same thing he’s helping her find a new Souter but he is not using himself as one so people would come up to her no he’s just training her kind of like what’s she should say and stuff like that !
Cressida threatened Daphny, Eloise's sister, with ruin and shame, and by extension the whole family. For Eloise to consider 1 damn walk with her in public is for me to cross Eloise as likable character forever. That was shocking and cold, and I expected better from her. No matter how much your friend may have hurt you (she could've done worse), you don't choose the shallowest, meanest, entitled spoiled bully as your friend or even a pretend friend. I think what Colin proposes is a little different from Duke, he says he can help, with advice, but he won't pretend to court her like Duke courted Daphne, noone would believe that.
OMG the books are actualy more controversial😭 There are still good though. There wasn't even much diversity...and some of the plotlines were quite um....problematic lol😂 I feel like there are pros and cons to any adaptation. The show may have left out some things from the book...BUT, they defiinately added onto it.
Will Mondrich was the man in the scene kissing the woman, she's his wife. Apparently they will gain a title. Colin is going to help her learn how to flirt with men to attract a suitor, and the funny thing, of course, is that it will be backfire!
I think that you can love or don't like season 2 To be honest, season 2 was the worst season of Bridgerton till now (my top are 1. Queen Charlotte 2. Bridgerton season 1 >>>>>>>>>>>> Bridgerton season 2) The story was terrible (completely different to the book), to me that "love triangle" was a torture and I hate the Kate of the serie (her attitude was ridiculously different. And I love Kate from the book)
I guess Eloise is an op now but I still get where she’s coming from. Just to prove it wasn’t Eloise Pen wrote smthn horrible about her that really tarnished her reputation, and it actually was mostly so Eloise wouldn’t say she was whistledown to the queen, less so to save her from getting into trouble. I feel that pen used that as an excuse so Eloise wouldn’t say she was her, even tho the queen would’ve realized she blamed the wrong girl eventually anyway so it would be the same result for pen in the end. And pen said she’s all talk about revolution for women but at least pen is doing something but pen isn’t doing what Eloise wants all the time, she’s a gossip writer, and she only did good when Eloise complained about the way women were talked about. And Eloise DID do something, she wanted to unveil whistledown so they could write together and also had something going with a man who believed in her cause. Anyways, I don’t think Eloise over reacted bc personally I would hold a grudge too. No matter the reason, your very best friend exposing your deepest secret hurts really bad, and bc Eloise sees it as a selfish move it’s even worse.
Heads up- the books are NOT better. Way less happens and what does is lowkey questionable. Read them, obvs, but don’t expect the moon because you’ll be disappointed when it’s only a flashlight 😕
I agree about S2. I liked S2 but it didn't hit me like S1. I'm waiting for S3 I love Polin so I can't wait. I can't wait for Penelope to make him suffer and I think she will for a bit. He deserves that.
Colin needs to pay for making that comment in front of the other men along with everything else he's done. Like dating her cousin! Come with it Mr. Bridgerton The books are so different from the show that it seems like each is a different story with the same characters. I hope Season 3 is as good.
In Bridgerton Colin comes around , in real life the guy never grows up , leaves with another , the girl is forever left tainted with humiliation and develops severe intimacies issues for life even when the wallflower blooms , now the flowers on the highest wall , so the guy never looks up .
I cant wait for pens story. I feel it will be my favorite. Shes my favorite. I just read the 3rd book it was great now I'm reading bk 4 which is Pens and Collin. 🩷🩷🩷🩷

And Lady D is not happy when he turns up. Can't wait to see that storyline unfold ❤
Oooh you can tell we haven’t read the books 😂😂
I believe it has been verified that he is Lady Danbury's brother.

You should read the books but treat as two very different stories. They're all good in their own ways. 😊
100% we will be reading the books!!

I didn't like season 2, to be honest, so I'm waiting for season 3, I have high expectations !!
I'm shocked to find that other people didn't like S2, most people loved it...

The books are definitely not better. But, Pen and Colin's book still make them my favorite.
The second wasn't as sexy but equally as good!
It was slow burn I found it way better than the overloaded first :D
I think season 2 was way better
Saw the Pen support/Eloise slander and instantly subscribed 😅
Can't wait to not only watch this season but see your reactions!
Stay tuned !! We can’t wait for the release

The books are so different from the show that it seems like each is a different story with the same characters. I hope Season 3 is as good.
I agree with Neecy on season 2, didn't blow me away at all. I hope season 3 does coz I love the friends to lovers trope and like both characters
I agree first season is the best😍😍
im glad im not the only one who feels this way about Eloise!
I agree with neecy, season 1 was better. And book two (Kate and Anthony) was better than season 2 imo.
Penelope with her fan is pretty much me flirting. No wonder I qualify as a spinster despite everyone saying they don't understand.
Lol that’s not Will making goggly eyes with Violet. That’s a new character named Marcus Anderson. He’s much older than Will 😂😂
Yeah they put will & the new guy too close together in the trailer. They both chocolate 🍫 with 🐻 beards 😂 i was confused at 1st but slowed it down 😅
Crueloise :(
Loved seeing your trailer reaction and would love to see your reactions to each episode! We need season 3 now!!!
The show is better then the books
I love Penelope ❤️
Enjoying these ladies!!
Yes second season was not good
Eloise has the right to be angry and act this way tho. She was betrayed or lied to by her best friend. And now she's flirting with her brother. 😏
Lady Danbury slang made me crack. is she struggle with clear word. her mouth 😅
The second season dragged on and on and it just pissed me off. Lol. Queen Charlotte was the best for me, then season 1.
Loved both but second season was my favorite
In Bridgerton Colin comes around , in real life the guy never grows up , leaves with another , the girl is forever left tainted with humiliation and develops severe intimacies issues for life even when the wallflower blooms , now the flowers on the highest wall , so the guy never looks up .
ewww not the eloise slander
Subscribed!!!!! 😄😄
Season 2 was boring
What the hell, THERE WAS SOO MUCH DRAMA 😂 haha I love both seasons though
It was way better than season one
@@user-qd5gr8ql2w no it was truly boring
then you must’ve hated season 1 bc legit nothing happened in it 😭
Are you sure you watched it and not just clips ..?
I cant wait for pens story. I feel it will be my favorite. Shes my favorite. I just read the 3rd book it was great now I'm reading bk 4 which is Pens and Collin. 🩷🩷🩷🩷
