Attic Door... or Dog Bed?

Sorry we've been MIA for so long. We are in the new house, but totally still under construction. We don't have our CO (Certificate of Occupancy) yet, but don't tell anyone. LOL! We had MAJOR trouble getting our phone and internet switched to the new house, even though we only moved about 1/8 of a mile down the same driveway. Gotta love AT&T. We were supposed to be all set on Jan. 2nd, but it finally happened on Jan. 19th. So I haven't been able to watch any of your videos lately, and for that I'm truly sorry! I MISSED you guys!
A true vlog is coming up... soon! Maybe even tomorrow, but no promises! :-)

Hi Eden! Yes, Jake is quite the buddy! We just love him to pieces. he has fit in so well with us, it's amazing. The house is slow going, but a labor of love and each bit that gets done makes us one step closer!
Yes, Jake is well suited to us and fits right in. You can push the 10 minute rule to about 10.5 sometimes, as long as it stays under 100 meg.
Thanks, Travis, it's a lot of work, but a very cool door. I don't know about all the doors in the house, but we do have one more to do!
Hey Eva! No vlog yet, mostly cause we have been working and I look like crap and can't be bothered to get cleaned up and put makeup on to maintain the illusion that I'm not overtired and sleep deprived! LOL I do have a quickie vid that's going up soon with more work we just finished. Thank you for the kind offer to allow Jake to visit. i think he would be a good boy with your dogs. i just wonder what they would think of him? ;-) We'll talk more later. I'm taking Thurs. & Fri. off to work here.
Hi Judy! Yes, we are slowly making progress on the house. I'll have to show the ceiling upstairs, we're doing with the same pine tongue and groove and nails. It's looking great! Jake is such a good boy, but we just realized he's too heavy and so we are cutting back on his food. More on that in my vlog. Apparently Cardigan Welsh Corgi's put on weight easily...I knew there was a reason I related to them so much! LOL

Not to worry Deb..our dogs do pretty well with others..Hoochie has actually learned fear..lol..which is amazing..I think she would do fine with Jake..:) A sniff here, a sniff there and all would be well in the world..:)

I totally agree with you about cats, Liz,. My three are experts! They would have been on that door with Jake if they were more used to him. As it is they are wary, but getting braver. Kismet gets a big lick on the face from Jake every now and then. Her reaction reminds me of Lucy from the Peanuts comic strip. "Bleech! Dog Germs!" LOL

I had to laugh at him and the door - when I had cats I learned that their attraction to anything was in direct proportion to how much you wanted them NOT to. Black outfit for job interview? Guaranteed to have cat hair before you left the house. I always figured they'd be ashamed to have you go out without visible evidence of their love. The house is gorgeous! You must be so happy to be in it now. Radiant floor heat? I love that.

The three cats haven't totally adjusted to the new dog yet. He loves them and wants to play, but only one interacts with him. Our oldest cat tolerates him and our neutered male just hides. The wus!
I love the door! And altho we don't have dogs we do have cats that will sleep on anything they can. :)

Yes, it is much easier to buy them from Tremont Cut Nails (America's oldest nail maker) at tremontnail(dot)com We've used them throughout the house. All our flooring upstairs and the ceiling upstairs is laid with them. And, of course, the doors. ;-)
Deb!!! 3am, I was snoring already..lol..As for Jake..you of course know he is more than welcome here..but the casino would be out of the question..they frown upon 4 legged visitors..so if you come here with no plans of the casino..Jake could come..we would welcome him..:) Umm..where is the VLOG???? :)
Jake says "Woof", and we say "Hi"! I have a lot of catching up on your videos to do. I hope I can tomorrow. But here it is 3 am and I'm not in bed yet *sigh* Not enough hours in the day lately. Rafe probably told you we got our free room passes for Feb. and Mar. at the Turning Stone! I wonder if they let you bring pets? LOL I guess we'd have to board Jake...poor Jake! I should go to be and get some sleep or my vlog will be super scary. G'nite!
