Ok so I’m reporting back 🤗 I made this last night with a chocolate cake mix.... Drum roll.... Oh My Goodness ❣️❣️❣️ I followed the directions ☝🏼exchanging White for chocolate. I let it cool for couple of hours then I glazed lightly. Then I added a second glaze for design effect. ❤️💜 I wish I could put a picture up. Thanks for excellent tutorial
Romelia Armstrong it’s just the recipe for a cake mix that comes in a box. Typically it call for eggs and water I would guess 2 eggs and 3/4 to 1 cup water ? But I can’t say for 100%
You know I love my rubber bowl scrappers. Bought mine at Amazon and it has the rubber scrappers on both sides. I never have to stop my mixer to scrape the sides of the bowl. This leaves my hands free to do something else. I do start my mixer on low as possible speed and keep out some of the dry ingredients until it gets started then add. I don't see a need to use fingers when a potato masher would work or a pastry blender. If all else use food processor. There's so much bacteria under fingernails especially fake ones so squishing something wet and liquidity kind of grosses me out. I'm weird.
Junie, a Wilton pan is a number one pan as well, you can get them at Walmart for $8-9.00. I have 3 different sizes. I use the individual sizes to give out as a mini birthday cakes.

Why are we macerating strawberries at two cups when only one half cup is used? I understand that they strawberries will shrink but not in the amount of time you give for them to macerate. They would shrink about 2 tablespoons. So there are strawberries left over and we don't need to begin with two cups of chopped strawberries.

The cake may taste great but, it is not a good practice to crack eggs over the bowl like that. You don't want shells in your cake.
You might want to try fresh on instead of water to mascerate the berries.
