I love my Mirage. No it isn't blazing fast or flashy but it gets the job done.I can give less than a darnn how fast it goes long as it can do 60 mph.And this car does that and more. This car has been a blessing for me. So you haters can hate but there are us who love this car.
I just bought one today and I'm more of a speed, power guy but I was really surprised by this car and the gas mileage is great. Handling is a bit different from what I was used to driving but it's kinda fun. Overall great car so far.
You don't need blue tooth. Phones are getting outlawed in a lot of states because when you are driving that is all you should be doing. Not talking on a phone, texting, eating, etc.
I bought this car and Love It! ES with CVT Get 47.6 mpg doing 65-70 mph with cruise on. I think it's well built, the steering is different, but if you do your research it's because it has electric power steering (no pump or fluid) The motor sounds just like a diesel (a little loud) but who cares, It's way bigger inside than you'd think too
+Douglas Lafferty There are electric power steering units that do a far more sensitive job. The issue is that the front wheel suspension (although EVO IV based...) did not have enough room to make a geometry that would let it self center. It is annoying, but the car offers so many good points, far better than every competitor in my view. But... it must grow on you first. You will notice the qualities only the longer you own it. That, in my view is true quality.
I dont even notice the wind noise after a week of driving it and the stock 4 speaker system is completely up to task drowning road noise out. My Mustang produced just as much noise honestly.
its now 2021 and I own a 2014 Mirage and I wouldn't get rid of it for nothing I've kept up on the oil changes and I've changed the front break pads once and are you ready for this it's only got 23,440 miles on it yep that's it besides being a wonderful car I also had a full DVD player with surround sound and complete chrome pkg fog lamps full power electric everything plus I installed backup camera because the 14 model didnt have it yet its red and I also put wider tires on it its definitely a one of a kind and its put away every winter this is for sure a must see mirage I paid cash in central Florida and it was 13,999 out the door it only had 35 miles on it oh and I forgot to mention it came with a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty also ok that's about it folks have a Blessed day. 😀
I own a 2015 White Mitsubishi Mirage and don't regret purchasing it. Has a total 16k Miles only~! If you are bad talking Mirage, you obviously never owned one! Mine still has 5 year Warranty left!
i think it's a great car with a really good price, and really efficient on fuel consumption. has a lot of features compared with its competitor. A few simple custom body kits and a new headlamp, change the rims to 16" or !7" might not get you successfully rob a bank. Getting mine next week!
You asked me if I owned a manual or a CVT in the other video but I didn't know how to respond to you there. At least not on my little iPhone. I have a CVT. I didn't think I'd like it as much as a manual, but I do. It appears to shift well and seems smart enough to down-shift and up-shift at the right times to get the best gas mileage. It has a great stock stereo. I didn't realize how good it was until I took it into the shop for some accessory upgrades and got a loaner Hyundai Sonata and I so much missed the awesome sound quality of the stick radio on my Mitsubishi Mirage, especially for long trips! Anyway, with the CVT, you can almost always guarantee overall lover RPM on cruise control than with a manual transmission = better gas mileage, by about 3 mpg! With a constant > 50 mpg to and from work it's like owning a hybrid, except that its base price is only $12,500! -which is why I could afford to dude it up with side skirts, from and rear spoilers, the chrome package front fog lamps, the grille, the rear lights and the trunk and I also put wind-deflectors on my windows and Bluetooth. Now my Mirage looks like Need for Speed! xD
I bought one of these in November, a 2015 model. I have the 5 speed, and the ONLY time I've had less than 43 mpg is when I let the car sit and warm up a few times a week, and even then I still average 41-42 each tank. The fuel economy numbers seem to be a bit pessimistic. It's easy to hit 50 mpg with this car.
@@alansmilealot The only problem I've had with it has been a bad set of tires I bought for it which wore out in 10,000 miles. It does fine on the highway, even in a good crosswind or when driving by a big truck.
Mitsubishi has a policy (like most Japanese manufacturers) of constantly improving their products. The '15 model makes less engine and wheel noise, although the wind noise is still too much. The ride is more European in the '15 model. The steering is precise but the power steering is crap, really it still is. Most annoying I find the too small sunshade flaps (or how it is called in English). I wonder why not a single tester is praising the road holding of the thing. It is light, and the front suspension was derived of the Lancer EVO IV. You can do absurd things in that thing. It will not lose grip, or even have to activate ESP. It is that good. Such a pity that the power steering is that vague and indirect. Mind you the steering itself is very, very precise. Any movement of the steering wheel will be picked up, but you simply don't feel anyting. The complaint about bluetooth is not correct. The car has bluetooth and a very precise automatic climate control.
In a world filled with cars that have more buttons than an old BlackBerry and more style the Lady Gaga, the Mirage is simple and refreshing. I own a 2014 Mirage and I have to disagree with this video, it is a great car with enough power for its small and light frame.
I’d say if you’re interested in this car but think it’s priced a little too high, I’m sure there are many incentives and discounts offered by Mitsubishi to get that price down!
I have 2014 mirage.. engine gives humming noise n get loud at around 60 kmph.. this noise disappears at 70 kmph.. appears again at 95kmph... n disappears at 105 kmph speed... engine is loud even at deceleration but within this speed range.. dont know what is issue
I think looks are ever so subjective. Really dont agree with all the bashing of its looks. Think its a adorable little car. But I will agree with the steering and the noise. God are the friggin tires road noise so loud. Granted when it only cost me $50 to drive from North Carolina all the to Brampton Canada every single complaint I had faded away and I found the stereo to be really awesome in drowning out all that extra noise.
It looks the way it looks because it has a 0.28 drag coefficient. That means it slips through the air better than nearly any other car on the road. Mitsubishi didn't style this car...their wind tunnel did.
Aaron Costello that's simply not true, as a Mercedes CLA has a Cd of .23 and the beautiful Tesla Model S has a Cd of .24 The car is styled the way it is for spaciousness, and because it's at that price point.
tankermottind Versas get reviewed almost as poorly as Mirages. And good luck finding that ethereal "base model" Versa. They only exist in advertising...no dealer will have one, because Nissan doesn't really want you to buy one. But they will have the SL model in every color! The Spark is just a rebadged Daewoo Matiz. You wanna talk shitty cars? Let's talk Daewoo. Remember the Aveo? I love Corollas. But a used Corolla won't get 40+ MPG, won't have a 100k powertrain warranty, and won't have new car smell.
In real life it seems the manual trans gets better overall mpg likely cause people with the cvt put the pedal to the floor to get it to go anywhere. More efficient power transfer with the manual.
Ive still got an old Mitsubishi Colt from 2007 its done 106 thousand miles and still on original clutch and gearbox and is not slow for a tiny 1.1 litre it will do 120mph on a motorway as the manual gearbox is ridiculously long geared, im talking 60mph in 2nd gear problem is once you start thrashing these little cars they are not economical anymore lol
Im looking into buying my first new car and this one beats out anything i the same price range. test drove one with a manual and the little car is loads of fun! you can drive it like you stole without worrying about breaking the speed limit XD
Micro isn’t avail in the USA. The Nissan Versa has proven troublesome (Ditto on the Spark and Fiesta) . Base model at similar pricing does not even have PW or PL. The others cost more and or are less reliable. For ten grand, I chose the Mirage.
I doesn't look that bad. What Mitsubishi Needs to do is import the Mirage sedan to the states, and probably other vehicle to have more variety and competition.
you still work at the Mitsubishi Dealer... i will give you a guaranteed sale (over MSRP if you want) if you can get me one of those last 2023 5speed manual Mirage holdovers.... @@MrNuggetface
Yes and you would pay $2,5K more and more $$$$ at the pump every year This is the primary purpose I got my Mirage. In my job I get reimbursed 50¢ a mile and I drive long distances. You do the math. Plus it is actually quite enjoyable. It's stock stereo is awesome! Love to play my Pandora and iPod on it. Not only does it come with Bluetooth, USB and AUX, it displays everything ur playing nice on the dash. It also seems more spacious inside than a Fiesta. I haul a large exhibitor booths in the back to the events I go and still have ample room for my luggage.
fanfare100 I get average combined highway and city 50-58mpg in my 1.2tsi 4 cylinder turbo with 105hp. 0-100km/h is 8 seconds with less road noise and VW build quality. I drove one of those mirages, in manual since I cant stand automatic, the road noise was way too loud and the engine was less refined than other 3 cylinders I drove, it's transmission was clunky too.
***** VW's made for the US market are built in South Africa, here most are made in Germany, I have not had any problems with mine. I would never buy a automatic car so I do not have the problems associated with them.
You don't even see too many darts now. They had so many issues and they stopped making the Fiesta in America Ford loves the SUVs and electric cars now.The Fusions even are gonna be gone soon also. Just the Mustang. They're never gonna get rid of that one.
You'd be surprised! xD And if they had imported the 1.0 L engine model into America, that's what I would have gotten. Instead, I had to settle for the 1.2 Still happy with the outstanding gas mileage. I'm constantly getting over 50 mpg on my ways to and from work, which is an hour commute. So I'm saving bundles!!
I'd pass. Especially a 1 hour commute, you'd probably get fatigued with the engine noise and gutlessness. I'll stick with my comfy, smooth and quiet V6 lol.
If you can afford it, that's fine. To me it's surprisingly comfortable and the engine and ride is 10x quieter than a Mini Cooper and its 50% more fuel efficient. Plus, I get "reimbursed" 50¢ a mile for my business trips so you can't believe how happy I am. I find it to be quieter than the Acura CL I just sold, and an Impreza and older Outback that I own. Those are all specialty cars. My fave is still the Mirage and I love the stereo on it and choose it 9/10 times unless I need all-wheel drive, though I'm surprised at the front-wheel automatic traction control that came standard with the Mirage. For a car with a base price of $12.5K it doesn't cease to amaze me. And trips are so extremely inexpensive. My gas budget has been split in half! -which was very important to me because I really do a whole lot of driving.
The Mirage is a good car for you because you value fuel economy alone. I drive a Lexus so I can never, ever go back to a 4 (or even 3 lol) cylinder car and stand the relative noise, harshness and lack of refinement.
Have you driven a Mirage? It's actually fun. Funny how if the engine in a mini-Cooper goes vroom vroom oh well then it's simply sporty, but if you didn't pay a lot for your Mirage, then it's rough and unrefined. xD If ppl actually didn't know how little you pay for this car they might actually enjoy many of its features. I find the interior and ride to be more comfy than the Mini. When my Mirage was in the shop for an oil change and they have me a loaner 6-cylinder Sonata you can't imagine how much I really missed my awesome stock stereo on my Mirage. The sound sounds soo much better on the Mirage. The deep resonating and body-shaking base and the very nice treble. Makes long trips very enjoyable. :-)
With its cheap $12.5K base price I duded mine up all the way like Need for Speed. lol Plus, it's practically becoming a free car because of what I'm saving in gas versus the Acura I just got rid of.
JungSooYeon418 True, but here in Canada you can get a base 2014 mazda 3 for $15,995. Thats not a big difference, when you consider the resale value of a Mazda 3 with a mirage.
JungSooYeon418 Spark $12,200, Versa all cheaper cars. I have never ever ever seen the $12,000 base Versa ever. I have seen 13k Sparks. Spark light years better car.
fatboy19831 Spark is better? Sooo...you LIKE burning a quart of oil every 200 miles? Having an engine that knocks? Or having the AC system completely quit within the first year?
its a few thousand dollars cheaper than the Toyota Yaris. my wife have the yaris and its very good on gas too. im thinking about getting another mirage, i use to have a 07 mirage and i was dumbfounded how good it was on gas. too bad its been a total lost in a wreak. keep in mind we will never see 2 dollars gas price ever again.
Steven sales Get over the fact the entire world doesn't revolve around America. AutoGuide.com (despite the .com not .ca nomenclature) is actually CANADIAN based. At 4:23 take note of the speedometer which is measured in km/h, no miles.
10 year warranty? Mitsubishi wont be around in 3 years. Why in hell would you get this over a spark? The Spark is a real car for the same base price. For 16k every other car available is worlds better.
Actually no, Mitsubishi cars are crap. Owned them worked on them. Lots of problems and expensive hard to get parts. The best thing Mitsubishi ever made was the maneuverable and very fuel efficient Zero. Buy 1943 the F6F Hellcat and Corsair put an end to that rein.
buildmorefarms100 Evo X really? I know two people with that car. They are a blast to drive (when they work) just like the old awd turbo eclipse was. I owned a Colt and a Plymouth Shapiro. Both were useless as reliable transportation by 80,000 miles. Toyota has the worst warranty of any Japanese car. It is not needed. I almost made the mistake of buying an extended warranty on my 2000 Celica. I did not even have to change the brakes and spark plugs till 100k. The rings finally went out at 300k. This car is crap. You know it. Mitsubishi can do better than this for the same money. Much better.
So is the BMW, but that's even more money. ;-) Yet, I have yet to find a comparable car with better gas mileage. I routinely get over 50 mpg and occasionally over 60 mpg.
this is a far cry from the mirage's of yesteryear when they were actually sporty and came with turbo versions. this car needs a turbo version in the worst way.
***** For less than 7k$ you can find some good BMW 3-series with less than 50k miles with 5-6 years on them... and they're still lot better and safer and almost as equipped than an 11k$ Mirage. And, unless you won't take some 180bhp or more, their fuel consumption is very low (both diesel and petrol ones). But that's my own thinking about cars, better taking some better-quality old-aged car than some almost-new less-quality, but that's just my thought ;)
Good luck finding one. They are very rare cars. Nissan touts these "teaser" cars with no options for under $12 in all their ads. Then when you go to find one, there isn't one to be had anywhere in the entire damned country. But there are lots and lots and lots and LOTS of the $18k SL models...
Over engineered CVT for the engine output, economy that will make you grin hard, pleasant sounding three cylinder note (far nicer than a boring and common four) no over complication to turn your world upside down -set and forget happy motoring.
Mitsubishi CVTs are more durable than some other CVTs for some reason.,but get that tran flush every 30k and it will last you and don't speed abuse your car .My son had a 2015 Nissan Sentra. He drove it like it was a Mustang. Messed his CVT up.
buildmorefarms100 lol you clearly don't live in the USA ...I hope... because I parked my 330hp 370z next to a Panamera turbo today.. and not 20 seconds later here comes a Evo 10 parking on the other side... yea it's just horrible here people would just rather walk then drive...
Why do these morons compare cars they are reviewing to cars that aren't in its class? The mirage is a city car, comparable with the Chevy Spark and Scion IQ. It wasn't designed for long trips on the highway or for people who have kids and carry a lot of cargo. Comparing it to the Fiesta and Fit does not do it justice. Nor is it responsible for all these reviewers to suggest cars are dangerous. I commute with my Spark on the interstate everyday and I am NEVER scared. Also, I want a car review, stop trying to be funny because you aren't funny.
Crapis... From the video backdrop, you guys are clearly based in Toronto, Ontario Canada... Pls stop pretending you are Americans by using US mpg and American price... You are not fooling anyone!
Moderate overlap front - Good Side - Good Roof strength - Good Head restraints & seats - Good Small overlap front - Poor Okay, but only a few handfuls of all cars have a good on that one, and it's a relatively new test. I imagine Mitsubishi will make it even more safer in the future.
Topaz Blue True. Both the Toyota Prius C and the Nissan Versa sedan also failed this test. Other much larger and presumably safer cars (and minivans) failed it as well.
yoitsrami Uh, no is doesn't, not even close. 2015 Mazda 3 (30 city (totally sux) 41 hwy), CX-5 mazda3 gets a terrible 26/35. The 2015 Mirage (37 city 44 hwy) which is the best gas mileage of any all gas car. The test on this video uses the 5 speed which is less than the automatic. The Mirage after rebates cost is 11K, the Mazda 3 is 17K to start. Mazda uses an older hydraulic transmission and Mirage uses a CVT. A hydraulic transmission is the most expensive car repair one could have. Mirage can get all 4 tires changed for under $100, a single Mazda 3 Yokohama Avid tires cost $100 per tire. So it just depends on how much money you have to waist.
+Chad Snow The test car was a CVT, which, by the way, is linked to a conventional two speed automatic (a kind of low/high gear ratio). That thing can break too. But in general you are right.
Sparks are not reliable at all. Bad water pumps, cheap belts, etc. Theyre fun as hell to drive and Id own one if I wasnt concerned with reliability. Ill take the Mirage.
The bludger motoring journos keep expecting a Mercedes Benz. If course you'll see nothing but shortcomings that way. Think of the Dr Pepper slogan. Unexpect.
Ugh Mitsubishi stop trying to be Toyota... we don't want fuel economy from you.. your sales numbers were at their best during the 3000gt/eclipse era. .. and now they wonder why their US sales suck today...
The 2014 Mirage sales are substantially beating the Toyota Yaris and many other small hatches. Look up the data. Goodcarbadcar.net What you get for $12k is hard to argue against.
Dont wanna deliver this bad new for you but, Mitsubishi just had its best year in America in over 15 years. Yeah thats right. The last time they made this much profit was the launch of the 3rd gen eclipse. And the only reason the 3rd gen eclipse sold so well is they did a promotion where everyone was approved and no payments for a year. That stupid mistake cost them millions for years and years. You cant just give away a car and no expect people to forfit on the loan a year later.
Is it just me, or does autoguide employ any reviewers that aren't jewish with asymetrical faces and usually at least a mild speech impediment? Would it really be so bad to have an attractive girl or guy that knows what he's talking about and isn't missing a chromosome be on camera?

Thats also a fucking bike...
You missed the point. You buy a Hayabusa and this POS. Drive the POS in the winter.
That’s totally unrelated to a four door car made to be practical and carry 4-5 people.

Thanks for the honest and balanced car review. Best I've seen yet 👍
Love your channel! You are a good reviewer and very nice to watch and listen to. I really like these cars.
This car is third world for first world prices. Versa. Micra. Yaris. Fiesta. Rio. Accent. Fit. Spark. A used car. Any of these over the Micra.
The Mirage Sedan will be here next year. I work at a Mitsubishi dealer and they just confirmed it.
MrNuggetface what mitsubishi dealer is at where you work?
The #1 Mitsubishi dealer in the country actually. It's in Upstate NY
you still work at the Mitsubishi Dealer... i will give you a guaranteed sale (over MSRP if you want) if you can get me one of those last 2023 5speed manual Mirage holdovers.... @@MrNuggetface
Mitsubishi is lucky that Kia didn't release the Picanto in the U.S., as it will kill the Mirage in sales like it's doing right now in Europe.
umm sorry but 74hp and for 15 grand u can get a dart or fiesta
Yes and you would pay $2,5K more and more $$$$ at the pump every year
This is the primary purpose I got my Mirage. I haul a large exhibitor booths in the back to the events I go and still have ample room for my luggage.
fanfare100
I get average combined highway and city 50-58mpg in my 1.2tsi 4 cylinder turbo with 105hp. 0-100km/h is 8 seconds with less road noise and VW build quality. I drove one of those mirages, in manual since I cant stand automatic, the road noise was way too loud and the engine was less refined than other 3 cylinders I drove, it's transmission was clunky too.
*****
VW's made for the US market are built in South Africa, here most are made in Germany, I have not had any problems with mine. I would never buy a automatic car so I do not have the problems associated with them.
...and make due with 30-ish MPG.
You don't even see too many darts now. They had so many issues and they stopped making the Fiesta in America Ford loves the SUVs and electric cars now.The Fusions even are gonna be gone soon also. Just the Mustang. They're never gonna get rid of that one.
Will Weaton?
Three cylinder, 74HP? I never knew there was a market for five passenger Go Karts.
You'd be surprised! xD
And if they had imported the 1.0 L engine model into America, that's what I would have gotten. Instead, I had to settle for the 1.2
Still happy with the outstanding gas mileage.
Funny how if the engine in a mini-Cooper goes vroom vroom oh well then it's simply sporty, but if you didn't pay a lot for your Mirage, then it's rough and unrefined. xD
If ppl actually didn't know how little you pay for this car they might actually enjoy many of its features. :-)
I think that most people that buy these will opt for the base model because of its cheap price
i live in the seattle area and have already seen a few of these on the road
With its cheap $12.5K base price I duded mine up all the way like Need for Speed. lol
Plus, it's practically becoming a free car because of what I'm saving in gas versus the Acura I just got rid of.
I've seen a couple of these here in Austin, Texas already...
One on my street down from my house
I don't know gas mileage is awesome but kinda of expensive I hope Mitsubishi brings back the eclipse turbo charge again that would be great
Thank you for the great review.
A base mazda 3 sedan is a much better choice. This car would be okay is it was 8999 not 15k.
Spark light years better car.
fatboy19831 I can tell you haven't been in a spark lmao
fatboy19831
Spark is better? Sooo...you LIKE burning a quart of oil every 200 miles? Having an engine that knocks? Or having the AC system completely quit within the first year?
Aaron Costello You work for Mitsubishi? The Spark is a better built and engineered car than the Mirage 5 times over.
its a few thousand dollars cheaper than the Toyota Yaris. my wife have the yaris and its very good on gas too. im thinking about getting another mirage, i use to have a 07 mirage and i was dumbfounded how good it was on gas. too bad its been a total lost in a wreak. keep in mind we will never see 2 dollars gas price ever again.
The review is a flat lie. He said its an ES, its clearly an SE. If he got that wrong, I wonder what else is wrong?
Our Mirage test car is Canadian spec. It lacks a push button start, but is essentially identical to an American ES-trimmed Mirage.
Then why would you lie about it? Who were you trying to fool? Like a dog with your tail between your legs. Lost all credibility
Steven sales Get over the fact the entire world doesn't revolve around America. AutoGuide.com (despite the .com not .ca nomenclature) is actually CANADIAN based. At 4:23 take note of the speedometer which is measured in km/h, no miles.
+td241 You're a fucking moron
+Steven sales The bluetooth is present. But over all, I think he described the car reasonably well.
For the same price, you can get 120+ horsepower...
...and 25-ish MPG.
Why does he keep mentioning the fit and Fiesta? But never mentions the spark, 500, iq, or fortwo? You know, cars actually in its class. ..
Mitsubishi used to be so great. And now they make stuff like this. *sigh*. Atleast they make decent TVs nowadays.
10 year warranty? Mitsubishi wont be around in 3 years. Why in hell would you get this over a spark? The Spark is a real car for the same base price. For 16k every other car available is worlds better.
Spark is smaller, has no knee airbag, and lets face it..GM makes it...no thanks
Still a far better car than this POS.
Actually no, This Mistubishi will be very reliable and durable for far less $ and far better gas mpg.
Thank you.
Comparing the Mitsubishi to Nissans Versa’s five speed.
I love mine. I thought it would be a slow car but it's really not.
I agree, it's like no one has ever driven an old car. Old station wagons went 0-60 in like 18 seconds. This guy breezes by in comparison.
It IS a slow car. You haven't driven many cars.
I have driven many cars though. So what if its slow. Some of you complain if 120 to 150hp is slow. You want a fast car buy a Mustang or Challenger.
CAn this drive good on the freeway? or it too slow for the freeway?
ryderwayland i have mitsubishi mirage. it is good and fast car. very very economic.
Yeah it can go on the freeway In the right lane though it doesn't handle great at 80-85 MPH..I had a mirage rental car for a day(2015)
I go any lane with mine. You have to own one to know one.
Much better off going with the Fit or Fiesta....
Not for the mileage, which was my purpose for buying my Mirage.
The Fit is the better car for sure but it's a lot more money.
So is the BMW, but that's even more money. ;-)
Yet, I have yet to find a comparable car with better gas mileage. I routinely get over 50 mpg and occasionally over 60 mpg.
fanfare100 BMW makes the i3 :)
Which you have to buy used now. They stopped making both.
That poor safety rating is making me look at other cars but I quite like this one : /
furthermore the non 2014 added a knee airbag as well. I believe the newer models score differently
"Thith ith a Mithubishi Mirage, and my lithp ith hard to underthstand"
This car is perfect for single moms and older woman!
Nice my-rage!
this is a far cry from the mirage's of yesteryear when they were actually sporty and came with turbo versions. this car needs a turbo version in the worst way.
mazda2 and fit are better
I agree. My fit is fantastic.
And cost much more and with shorter warranties...
Comparing a $10,000 car that gets 45+ mpg with $16,500 cars that get 35 mpg? Not sure that’s a fair comparison.
I would pick the Mazda 2 because the 5 speed is better.
16k $ ... mmmh... I think you'd be better go for something else for that price :p
The actual base price is $12.5K
That is for a LOADED one.
Skyler91 I have a Mirage and a BMW 325i. I love them both, for different reasons. I sure wish BMW had used less plastic in their cooling systems!
Aaron Costello Well... got the point, I just smashed on it xD
A far better choice would be a Canada-only Nissan Micra. These things are just trash.
Got it, take 2 Mirage’s when robbing a bank 😅
Would rather buy a base 12k Versa with a manual transmission that comes with Bluetooth standard!
Good luck finding one. They are very rare cars. Nissan touts these "teaser" cars with no options for under $12 in all their ads. Then when you go to find one, there isn't one to be had anywhere in the entire damned country.
But there are lots and lots and lots and LOTS of the $18k SL models...
this is the first time i hear that American drives manual
Over engineered CVT for the engine output, economy that will make you grin hard, pleasant sounding three cylinder note (far nicer than a boring and common four) no over complication to turn your world upside down -set and forget happy motoring.
Was curious, what do you mean over engineered CVT? I just bought one of these used at 45k miles.
Mitsubishi CVTs are more durable than some other CVTs for some reason.,but get that tran flush every 30k and it will last you and don't speed abuse your car .My son had a 2015 Nissan Sentra. He drove it like it was a Mustang. Messed his CVT up.
@@kylemas2005 the CVT used in the Mirage is made to withstand twice the power the engine in the Mirage puts out.
I knew you would review this car before I even clicked in the video
Please connect me to a dealer. I need the Mitsubishi mirage
Goodbye Mitsubishi in America? At least that's the message this car is sending (and the rest of their lineup).
Economy in USA is horrible, what better time to introduce an economical car?
buildmorefarms100 lol you clearly don't live in the USA ...I hope... because I parked my 330hp 370z next to a Panamera turbo today.. and not 20 seconds later here comes a Evo 10 parking on the other side... yea it's just horrible here people would just rather walk then drive...
And now its 2021.Uh they're still here.God bless them.
Hello
I'd drive it
Nathan Buria I wouldn't.
My Mirage does fine on road trips. Cruise control is a must have however, because I dont have it. I find myself having to stop every 3 hrs to stretch.
My 98 corolla gets the same mpg as this.
Your on crack.
lots more room than Spark or Fiesta had
Crapis... From the video backdrop, you guys are clearly based in Toronto, Ontario Canada... Pls stop pretending you are Americans by using US mpg and American price... You are not fooling anyone!
600-800hp fiesta class
Why does Mitsubishi make poor cars now? Maybe they should be called Mitsubishit now.
The IIHS crash test proves these are death traps.
Moderate overlap front - Good
Side - Good
Roof strength - Good
Head restraints & seats - Good
Small overlap front - Poor
Okay, but only a few handfuls of all cars have a good on that one, and it's a relatively new test. I imagine Mitsubishi will make it even more safer in the future.
Topaz Blue
True. Both the Toyota Prius C and the Nissan Versa sedan also failed this test. Other much larger and presumably safer cars (and minivans) failed it as well.
Mitsubishi makes good cars.Toyota is the only brand ill take over a Mitsubishi. You don't own one. What a hater.
It reminds me of a generic ugly foreign car you would see on the streets of India or Indonesia.
This guy reminds me of that cat
Dude my mazda 3 gets better gas than this car and is much, much nicer
yoitsrami Uh, no is doesn't, not even close.
Short wheel base ='s s rough ride.
sometimes all u need is S
new micra is a much better car!
Konrad Checinski But its not available in the US
u can buy this for $10,500 out the door!
spark is actually korean, which is why its more reliable than the other chevys :D
Sparks are not reliable at all. Bad water pumps, cheap belts, etc. Theyre fun as hell to drive and Id own one if I wasnt concerned with reliability. Ill take the Mirage.
can't concentrate on the car review, his lisp is killing me...
lisp much? Good review though
lol - passing a truck comment
You'd be better off buying a 5 year old Corolla. At least it would have the power to pass safely
His negative...
Front looks like a accent
Mitsubishi hoped to sell 7000 Mirages in the US during 2014.
They wound up selling 16,708 of them.
I don't want no sports car either. I like saving gas.
It's nowhere as good as the older mirage's from the past
Worst Mitsubishi ever !!! RIP MITSUBISHI
Long live Mitsubishi.
But it's ugly!
You won't see it behind the wheel and no one else will care.
Yea letzzzzz findzzzzz outzzzzz
Is it just me, or does autoguide employ any reviewers that aren't jewish with asymetrical faces and usually at least a mild speech impediment? Would it really be so bad to have an attractive girl or guy that knows what he's talking about and isn't missing a chromosome be on camera?
Makes me wonder how the interviews went when they were looking for a reviewer.
Boss: "Good morning, I see you're jewish and your eyebrows aren't even remotely the same height, can you tell us a little about yourself?"
Applicant: "I'd jutht like to thay that I am very honored that you akthepted my applicathion. I have to blow my nothe, I have terrible allergieth."
Boss: "Welcome to Autoguide!"
+Jason Smith im quite certain he isnt Jewish... I actually think he's of Arab descent
Thoughtful review for a crappie car.
Is he related to Mike Tyson? 😆
