Yeah, Jamal Bryan Adam's opened for Tina Turner on tour, it a live version. He also did the Canadian song like we are the world and he was a big part of it. He did a song for Robin Hood with Kevin Cosner and the Three Musketeers. I saw him like with Journey.
@@shelliheckethorn7234 That Canadian song is "Tears are not enough", which is also on We are the world album. Personally, I prefer that song to We are the world.
I was in 4th grade and I danced with the prettiest girl in my class to this song back in 1984. Our arms were stretched out as far as possible, as we danced like malfunctioning robots. Such innocent times.
OMG that girl's lipstick color was absolutely THE 1980's color. I wore a lipstick just like that in the 80s, LOL. There's an online playlist that has the order like this. I watched it and it looks right, one leads right into the other. 1: This Time 2: Summer of 69 3: Somebody 4: Kids Wanna Rock 5: Heaven 6: Run To You
80s kid here - I was 16 when this album came out. I can still remember going to what was then Tower Records and buying the cassette. And I used to sit by the TV, watching MTV (when it was just music videos), waiting for a song I liked, and hitting record on the VCR. This video was one of 'em. Those were better times compared to today. This brings it all back! Thank you so much for what you do J!!
im wishing more and more everyday that i was born in the 70's the older i get. The more insight i gain to the 80's the more i wish i was alive during that time. Still like the timeline i live in but 80's seem like paradise
My friend jumped over the hood of his car as he came out from a concert in the early 90s. He actually signed the autograph. I still have it :) I think I have every song memorized :)
He actually released 2 different videos for this song , both filmed at the Orpheum in Vancouver . The Stanley was actually an old movie theatre . The girl in these videos is Lysette Anthony one of the first women to call out and testify against Harvey Weinstein ...
Oh, Bryan Adams. Many years was his fan. Was collected many his albums. Been on his concert in Moscow, Russia in 1998. Acually his songs is something special, for soul. First song which start my love to him is "Thought i'd died and gone to heaven". Another of my favorite song is "Please forgive me" and "Do I have to say the words"
Love Bryan Adams. Duet with Barbra Streisand “I Finally Found Someone” (just wow... two voices you wouldn’t expect as a duet). And, of course “I Do It For You” (from Robin Hood).
If you were in high school in the late 80s or early 90s, this song is almost a time machine. We can’t relive it, but this song sure brings the memories and feelings.
Saw Bryan Adams live about 2 years ago, a fantastic song from a great singer. The most amazing thing is how he manages to sound exactly like in his studio recordings whilst singing for two hours straight.
Bryan Adams, more than any guy I can think of, pioneered the invasion of power ballads in the 1980s. There was no question they were ballads, but Adams' voice and production clearly rocked, too.
This was one of my mom’s favorite artists and songs. She passed in 2009 and every time I hear his voice it takes me back to my childhood and I can’t help but smile thinking about mom.
Bryan Adams. One of the best. My goodness he’s put out some awesome music. A voice coach reacted to Bryan Adams live and said he was one of the few that had perfect pitch and tone during live performances, that his singing was so natural to him. Here’s some of my favorites, too many to name just one; Cuts Like a Knife, Straight From the Heart, Everything I do I Do It For You, Please Forgive Me, All For Love, Thought I’d Died and Gone to Heaven, This Time , Can’t Stop This Thing We Started, House Arrest, Do I Have to Say the Words, All I Want is You, The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me is You, 18 ‘till I Die, Let’s Make a Night to Remember, I Wanna be Your Underwear, I Think About You, You’re Still Beautiful to Me, I’ll Always Be Right There, It Ain’t a Party if You Can’t Come ‘Round, Do To You, Star, We’re Gonna Win, Black Pearl, and Never Let Go!
Brain Adams suffered from just making it look so easy. The songs were so hummable, his singing effortless, the lyrics just so obvious but still not contrived.
Went and saw Bryan Adams back in`83 when he first started out,I had just bought his album right before we saw him..he opened up for Journey(my group)! Fantastic show! Funny thing that happened though while Bryan was performing he stuck the microphone down his pants(still don`t know why, lol, we were all crazy back then) and couldn`t get it out, lol, he had to go off stage, fun times!
One of my favorite singers/songwriters. I love every song he has ever released. I remember another very famous singer dissing him for wearing t-shirts and jeans at concerts. I remember thinking at the time that he didn't need to use any props such as special costumes or a wild background. He was amazing just as he was.
I absolutely love Bryan Adams! Seeing him in concert would be a dream come true. Growing up here in Canada, his music is like a soundtrack to my life. I remember the songs and associate it with different times in my life.
Back in the 80s i wasnt really too into the rock ballads. But Bryan Adams rock ballads i LOVED. esp Everything I do ( I do it for You). It was no 1 for like 10 weeks or something, and i NEVER got tired of hearing it. Oh yes, and you MUST do his duet with Tina Turner "its Only Love"
Bryan Adams was once asked to be a part of the 1980’s “has-beens” on a show. When he got to the stage door, he saw the list of musicians and promptly left. He is all about professionalism and integrity. ♥️
I’ll never forget the day when I realized the chorus of Tiffany’s “Feelings of Forever” is almost identical - musically, structurally - to this song’s chorus.
You might also like these two ballads by Bryan Adams, both of which were nominated for Oscars for best song: "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" from "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (1991), starring Kevin Costner, and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" from "Don Juan DeMarco" (1994), starring Johnny Depp.
Jamel, you HAVE to check more Bryan Adams - you could honestly do an entire week with him, and so many of us would be right here with you!! This guy RULED the 80's - especially here in Canada! He's a national treasure. Where to go next: Cuts Like A Knife, Straight From The Heart, Run To You, It's Only Love (with Tina Turner - BANGER!!), Somebody, Thought I'd Died and Gone To Heaven, Do I Have To Say The Words?, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Please Forgive Me, Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?....and that's just for starters! Jamel aka Jamal,
There's never any mistaking Bryan Adam's unique voice! You know who it is as soon as you hear his first note!
Bryan's voice is simply amazing. This is the ultimate rock ballad. 80's forever.
This is that ultimate concert song, where you just hold your lighter over your head and sway to the tune.
Did that at 3 of his shows in Johannesburg...
