After finding your videos im really starting to enjoy using it, you are a great teacher, you explain things clearly, and you do things quite simple for us new guys, not always doing the hard stuff for more advanced users.
Easily the best on you tube , love watching your videos, a thousand thanks.
I fell in love with Logic
Shortcuts and time saving methods are of importance, without which I really don `t feel like opening logicpro . . . . . .Really want the real world shortcuts of logicpro every other day to review. . . Thanks always! Glad I started using only logicpro.
The best ..thank you again. Best pound for pound DAW.
Loving this channel and your range of knowledge and understanding of different genres - just upgraded my equipment and really want to get better/use Logic to its max. I might even get into making dance tracks for fun! Thank you!

Amazing!! Thanks again
Dude I have learned more useful Logic Wizardry from you than from anyone else out there!
Dumb question (maybe) - I chopped up some Loops that I now realize do not have an associated tempo shown in Loop Browser which is causing me problems. Is there a way to add that after the fact, or do I need to re-add the loop differently? Confused on that bit. Thanks again!
Thanks Bro😃
Awesome, thanks for the vid!
So many gems!
@musictechhelpguy this was well done, by any chance is there a printable sheet available to try to remember these better?
double/half cycle rand not work with shift option commend , or . how to do it ?
Logic forever......
I love Logic Pro X in all manners _except_ from the shortcuts and key combos, even while modified. No DAWs comes even close to Pro Tools here. PT are for shortcut-ninjas. Alas, for me with tendinitis, every other DAWs (as I know of) requires a lot of clicking and mouse movements. Logic is still my favorite DAW when it comes to music making.
Why don’t you reassign Logic’s Key Commands to match Pro Tools? That’s exactly what I did to most of the commands, problem solved.
@@drvoodoo3073 Because reassigning to "match" Pro Tools is just bs. Ctrl+win+click a place to assign a parameter to your console right away? The doubletapping, or the tripple-tapping, did you reassign that? . 93 . ? Of course you didnt. Because, reassigning does not even come close to be the same. Keep on using your mouse. Because if reassigning solved the problem for _you_ , then you never had or understood my problem in the first place.
@@Eljulitus Well then elaborate on the problem then. Enlighten me. Tell me exactly what I dont understand. Be specific on HOW and or WHY it's not "close to being the same". Don't just complain on a UA-cam channel, that's not solving anything. Maybe I or someone else will read this and be able to suggest solutions for you. No need to be condescending to random people who are just trying to help.
@@Eljulitus You're going to have to use Logic terminology, I have no idea what you mean by "assigning parameters to your console". I don't use a mouse by the way, I use an external Magic Trackpad which has several extra features assigned to Logic by default. Since you mentioned tapping, with the Trackpad I can tap with 3 fingers and it will draw a MIDI region directly... no need to open up the Pencil tool or menu item. That's just one example.
@@drvoodoo3073 True enough about the complaining, you are right about that. It appears though, a bit logical that if one really feel Logics reassigning fulfills the majority of the PTs functionality, then one cannot really have used PT key commands for what they are really worth. To me, it`s somewhat weird if you never knew of, or needed PT Key functions yourself, still chose to trivialized with _problem solved_ . So I though _you_ were condescending, sorry for my miss.
Ok, to explain multiple tapping of one key or in serial with other keys, imagine pressing this in rapid succession: "period (.) - then a one or two or three digit number, say 55 - and then dot again". That is a combination of four presses in a row, right? And it`s is one key command that can either move the playhead to marker 55`s location, OR perform other things depending on what you have set the setting for this marker to. Pressing this series of keys while holding one or more function key, like CTRL+SHIFT will expand this function further. And that `s just one example.
Anyway, there are no other DAWs that I know of that have these features. That's why I use my iPad as a remote control for what I consider deficient Key Commands in Logic.
I`ve worked professionally with PT for close to 25 years, whereas >15 of them within Post Production, TV and movies. I became one of them "shortcut ninjas" as speed and *very* fast executions were required in my job. I am way beyond considering the Smart-Tool as effective for speed, or effective at all. So ofc, one of the very first things I did, was to reassign the Key commands in Logic to be something alike Pro Tools. Nope. Did not work for me at all. I did not solve anything, at least not if one have to avoid using mouse (or don`t have a Magic Trackpad). Further on, I`ve tried QuicKeys with Logic. I don`t think it was satisfactory.
I am no AVID fan, I can promise you that! They have ruined PT by picking it apart, and make it way too expensive for home users. But when it comes to key commands, no DAWs I know of can compare to PT.
Yet I`m telling you that Logic is my favorite DAW for music composing, despite the lack of features that *I* need. But that`s just me. So at least one can say, that as long as you don`t suffer using a mouse, then you don`t have a problem what so ever.
PS! Sorry for my English. It`s not my first language.
I gave on logic loops. too wonky.
