I think a lot of these people are young and ignorant. They need to be educated about things like this. Some are just plain mean and don’t care. I’m grateful that you are trying to spread awareness & educate people. I support you and I know you have a lot of supporters that love and appreciate you too. Keep doing what you need and want to do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤
Its weird. I have been thinking "that looks fake" inside my head sometimes before i learned more, but never felt the need to tell ANYONE. Because how would i know.
Unfortunately some people have faked stuff like this for attention on the internet. It’s sad because it makes it harder for people who actually go through things like this and wants to share their story.
Yeah, I feel you. Young people usually don’t understand and do especially need to be educated, but there’s also horrible people out there that fake having Tourette’s and other mental illnesses that can really mess with their minds and give them the wrong idea about it entirely. But I do feel you:((
"Just because you saw one tiktok doesn't mean you have tics!!" Also those mfs: "I only saw one video from you so I get to decide if you're real or not!"
A huge part of the problem is that there are loads of kids online who actually do fake it for attention which makes it so hard for people who actually do suffer. It's awful
They express a comment based out of there point of view meaning of life from there prospective. That's why some comments are better left inside. But a lot of ppl speak before they think. It's a epidemic honestly.
People these days are more skeptical and have the mentality of "guilty until proven innocent." I don't think it helps that those other people were exposed for faking Tourette's either. What sucks is that no matter how decent and honest of a person that you are, a platform is always going to invite haters. Leaning on your supporters, counting to help others with tics, and ignoring the haters is the best way to shut them down. 🙂 They want the attention and to evoke a reaction.
I can't imagine how it must feel not to be able to control noises, etc. But have a little bit of a sense of humor about it, out of all the tics you got a Chihuahua sound!!
its because there ARE so many fakers. people have become skeptical of everything. lots of people cannot understand why someone would put a deep dark personal thing on the internet for everyone to see, so if its there, they assume its fake.
Are there though? Like, aside from Tics & Roses (and even for *them* the evidence that they were faking was dubious) can you name me a prominent well-known faker that's been 100% confirmed to be a faker? Trust me when I tell you that genuine people with a disorder getting fakeclaimed all the fucking time is a far, far bigger issue that the two or three randos who tried to fake it online for whatever reason.
You are a public figure. You have chosen to devote an amount of your free time to creating content that a lot of people genuinely enjoy. It is part of the deal that some people are going to say things you don’t like
Well there are people who fake disabilities for attention, and those people should absolutely be called out. Unfortunately some of these keyboard warriors want to call people out without verifying first. I watch a UA-camr who posts a lot of stuff from the fake disorder cringe subredit, but he kinda bugs me because he doesn't do an in-depth look at these people to make sure if they're actually faking. He just posts a few second clip of them. I wonder if these people have ever heard of the concept of innocent until proven guilty.
@JayceeTheWeirdo Tics and Roses was a Tik Tok user who got exposed by their family for faking Tourette's for clout. They later deleted their TikTok account after they got exposed
I 100% think you’re faking ngl. Seems like an attempt to get attention and sympathy for no reason, if you can prove me wrong I’ll own up to it but your whole demeanor is off and the way you speak about it seems more for attention than awareness. Especially whenever you have 3 or 4 simultaneous aggressive ticks then changed your whole persona immediately after and was fine the rest of the video
Sometimes tics come alone, sometimes they come in group, and both can happen in the same person. And she's not "fine the rest of the video" she has eye-tics all the way
Tics wax and wane, it's literally part of the disgnostic criteria, sometimes they'll be more aggressive sometimes they'll be barely noticeable or not even there at all. Not to mention that through a video you see very little of a person's life. And even that aside, no one fucking owes you their medical history. Carly is trying to educate people about a still very stigmatized disorder, so how about instead of trying to pick apart disabled people's behavior and look for excuses to not believe them you actually fucking listen to what they're trying to tell you huh?
@@salome_psychostudy_asd She sounds like every other content creator who’s been exposed for not having Tourettes. I had a buddy with it and he never acted remotely like her, he acted like a normal person

Unfortunately they get pleasure from posting 'hate' comments. Indeed they feel totally entitled to abuse Neurodivergent individuals.

I have some other disability and I hear all the time that I'm simulating, because it's invisible -.-

If someone thinks she’s faking that one part, my friend with Tourettes sometimes tics a lot more at one time.

If you think it is fake then don’t watch it but keep it in your head I hope you are well do not let them get to you
True but some girl tried to fake it but faking ain't good and she was proven to not have tourettes so yea I believe u tho
