I love their books! My favorite is God's Big Story. I also like all the history. I've been doing some writing work for math for them since August. It has been great. I hope to get some of the math books on your future favorite list. I'm stocking up on the good books for when my kids get a little older.

@@mandy-maltz sometimes the same thing happens to me, I get feed that goes against of my beliefs and lifestyle, and i couldn’t quite understand why was I getting the opposite of what I was looking for. The people behind social media management and algorithm are doing this on purpose. I personally skip that type of content, I don’t listen to it , I don’t engage , I don’t comment because it’s all a trap and it’s so so bad for everyone’s mental health and peace, for the person commenting and for the person posting the content. You did the right thing by blocking non followers comments. Protect your space and health ♥️

We are about to order next year’s middle school curriculum and I am so torn generations or apologia? What would you recommend and why?
I use both (apologia for science) and we love both companies. I use the core grade packs for my kiddos, minus science. Generations is affordable, biblically solid, and can be done independent or with a parent. It fits my family perfectly.
Stepping Heavenward is sooo amazing!! I bought it for my 14 yr old for her confirmation last year, but got it through Lamplighter Ministries (check them out if you haven’t- hundreds of “old” books republished!) There’s a lot of young Katy in her, and I myself too honestly 😆.

Apart from the hard focus on creationism (not my belief, but having a belief is not offensive in itself) there really is nothing really offensive. I as a European find the “taking Europe for Jesus” title kind of misleading because a) Europe is strongly shaped by Christianity so why “taking” when it is thoroughly “taken”and not “Christian Europe” or “Jesus’ victory in Europe”. I mean neither Protestantism nor Catholicism would exist without Europe and b) given the fact that most Europeans were converted by the sword it’s probably not the perfect focus for younger kids.
Conversion by the sword is not a true conversion. A true conversion will be demonstrated by a repentant heart and a love for Jesus. The "Taking" titles are a part of the whole series. We continually need to evangelize and disciple because new people are born. Just because many were converted in the past does not mean the area is following God today.
I agree. As a European myself, I do not agree with such title " Taking Europe for Jesus", but I think I would have to read the book. Christianity developed in Europe, which is considered the birth location of modern age religion, I am not sure how am I going to explain this title to my children.

We should pray for these people not laugh at them. They need jesus not christians laughing at them.
