    Thanks for the explanations. This cancer took my wife 10 years ago. I was able to care for her for a year before she passed. She declined chemotherapy. She had discomfort from a "Sister Mary Joseph" nodule,(reduced by radiotherapy),but no intractable pain until 2 days before she died. She had an additional and unrelated primary cancer of the kidney, and so was not a candidate for liver transplant.
    It seems that the mortality rate for this is very high.
