I love my XM-18 and every interview with Rick Hinderer solidifies that love even more. He seems like a great guy with no shady past unlike other unnamed makers. I've got a lot of respect for the man and the knifes speak for themselves. Unmatched quality and attention to detail.

My zt 560 flips excellent. I just received a xm-18 skinner. I've used both techniques (light switch and push down ) to flip. I am having not much success. The knife is very tight.
a great guy that has the worst customer service in the knife making world! i have a gen 1 xm-18 3'' and wanted to send it for a spa treatment and tuneup and i honestly sent 7 emails and no one ever bothered to answer me! sent messages on his FB, IG and no one will answer me...it's so not fair we buy these knives and when it comes time to get service they wont help there customers it's all about money and for someone like me that really loves my xm-18 and now i can't get anyone to answer me!! he don't stand behind his product he makes the product then your on your own with it..such a shame, he should be ashamed of himself!
He’s a bully and because of that I will not support Hinderer. Lawsuit against a UA-camr that counts a flaw in his heat treat. Possibly on a single blade. He has the $ and just might win, but he will elder the numbers dwindle I’m guessing. Time will tell
his flippers suck! The guy that runs my local knife shop has $30,000 worth of Hinderer knives and he always has one of them on him. He lets me handle them when I go there and they suck! Sure, they are beefy as hell but the flippers dont flip at all unless you put a lot of wrist into it. If you are gonna charge $500+ for a flipper it better damn well flip
Bryan McHugh Hinderer's are meant to break in, and do. not to mention recently hes implemented stronger detents for better flipping out of box. Plus the flipper is more of a hand guard than anything, which explains the thumbstuds.
mine flip fine they old gen are old school flippers the new gen flips like on bearigs.also they are ment to open voth ways if the detent is to strong thumbstuds dont work.flippers in the early 2000 all used wrist action.if you want a cheasy bearing flipper to flip wile watching tv dont get a hinderer.if you want a true hard use blade then xm is it.stop beeing ignorant
