Dear Mina, thank you for all the informative vids. I was backpacking from Jeju to Seoul last month but only spend 2 nites in seoul and I missed places you went and all the good food . Will come back to Seoul next year and definitely will visit places as per in your vlogs. Keep making great vlog.

I m currently learning korean and i don't know where to ask this question so i put it here
i don't understand why 검정 don't finish by 다
cuz in my dictionnary 검정 is an adjectiv and in my lesson it is said that all adjectiv finish by 다
Guillaume MILAN Hey, I'm also learning Korean and I thought I'd try to explain this (hopefully what I say is the right answer). Colours usually modify a noun, such as "black cat" or "red car." In Korean, therefore, they would not be placed at the end of the sentence as an adjective would - instead, they would be placed in front of the noun (까만 고양이/빨간 차). Notice that "black" (검정색) has been modified to 까만 when it is in this position. This is the same when modifying adjectives before they are written in front of nouns - such as "happy woman" (행복한 여자) instead of 행복하다 in its base form. If, however, you wanted to say something IS (colour), you would use the unmodified version. So in your example - black - the unmodified version is 검정색. If you wanted to say something is black, you would say 검정색이에요.
If you wanted to tell someone your favourite colour, you would say 제가 재일 좋아하는 색깔은 파란색이에요 (파란색 as an example).
Please let me know if this is confusing! I think colours just basically work differently to other adjectives because they can be either an adjective or a noun.
