- Опубліковано 18 кві 2017
- Today we're exploring the alleys of Insadong. We check out the hidden traditional Korean tea houses and also visit modern cafes that overlook the main street. Perfect for those who love to people watch. Hope you come with an empty stomach because there are so many kinds of bingsoo (Korean shaved ice) to try! And bring a book or a lover to go with your cup of tea :)

this is why I love Korea. in little corners of these alleys you can find a new place which is beautiful where you can relax and enjoy the self time, if you are alone or some good company. it must be so wonderful to do that. and I am actually grateful for you showing all these to us.
"You know, people watching can be fun, but people watching other people who are people watching... *that's even more fun*" :DD I died
nyanish you broke my brain
i wish i was friends with Mina in real life. She's seems so friendly and cool
The rock at the old tea house is a millstone; it probably had a long working life grinding rice flour before it retired to be a table. :)
Your voice is so calming. bless
Dlite Thanks. I have a nice voice tbo.
*Love* the korean traditional tea house, and the music played inside the cafe added to its ambience...great vlog!
You and Charly capture the best views of Asia.
I love how you show so many different places when it comes to stuff like this. It makes you so different from everyone else. I love places like this in the world.
I can't believe we were in Seoul at the same time! It would have been awesome to bump into you. You were the reason i chose to visit Korea and i was repeatedly watching your videos on learning Korean. Also, that rain was crazy!
I would to explore all these places one day!! Youre the only channel that brings the viewers to non mainstream, zen and quiet places.

This vlog was so relaxing! 😍 And interesting as well
Hi Mina!!! Love this channel
This video inspired me to visit Insadong! After so long, I finally made it happen and I went to Mok Hyang and The Secret Garden. I was so happy to be able to go to these places in person. Thanks for the recommendation Mina!
I will be saving this video for reference when I visit Korea next year!!! ❤️
Kiki is as cute as a button. Love your latest adventure into the streets - and especially the quaint side streets of Korea, i.e. Insadong! Is Insadong more expensive than Itaewon? I love the traditional look of the places you visited a year ago in Insadong! I'm definitely a tea drinker. Thanks for another delicious episode, Prof.!
your editing style coupled with your commentary is the best😘💖🔥
Hi Mina
I enjoy watching you introducing us to all the wonderful looking Korean foods. I am visiting Seoul this coming May and intend to try as many different foods during my stay. The stone table you sat at in this video was a "millstone" which was used over a hundred years ago to grind grain into flour. The grooves cut into the stone allowed the grain to pass between the two stones as they rotated thus crushing the grains into progressively finer particles. A lot of history in that table.
This was such a great experience to watch this!
I love your videos so, they bring me much comfort, thank you :)
I've fallen in love with you & your channel 😍
Thank you for such amazing vlogs ;
YAY NEW VIDEO!
I cant wait to visit Korea and try the food. I love you channel
Nothing is more appealing than an abundance of greenery in an urban area.

After my last visit there, I've been getting hooked to finding these hidden cafes. Will look for these!
You are *AMAZING* I love you videos, so much entertainment and I've learnt so much too, I love people watching, and watching people that are people watching Lol... Did you spend the whole day going to different cafes, or were they consecutive? I would have been so full & got a stitch. Thank you for another awesome Video, sending love from *#NEWZEALAND*

I really love your channel, i wanna go to korea and learn more about your culture!!😍😍😍
Loved this video Mina! I was wondering if you could do a video on places to buy stationary and bookshops. Thanks!
most natural and entertaining voice 💖💃🏻👑
Hello, I watch your videos every once in awhile. I find your voice to be so calming and nice. I had some questions about places to visit in Korea. I've been here for about 8 months but haven't done much exploration and only have about 4 months left. I was wondering if you had any special places that you would recommend. For examples amusement parks (I'm planning on going to Lotte world soon), beaches, cafes (dog, maid, or unusual), etc.
Some insight about me. I'm 20 years old so I don't have much experience drinking and clubbing. I really enjoy dessert places. I enjoy hiking, shopping, and I'm trying to get out more. My friends and I were hoping to get massages here. Do you have any recommendations. Also, could you provide a hotel or some place to stay near the recommendations.
Thank you, keep up the great videos!!!!
so pretty!
언제나 흥미진진하게 보고 있습니다 😃👍
멋져요 👍 👍
Great vlog! The viewer seemed very nice.
OMG that tea with yellow flowers looked soooo pretty! As a fellow tea addict, this kind of stuff makes me feel sad for not living in South Korea...
omg! your channel makes me want to visit korea
Nice, we went to Seoul a few weeks back and went to the same tea house in Insadong. It would be really funny if we bump into each other.
I love your vlogs Miss mina. they are so inspiring to me. i wish i can meet you one day.
Your handwriting is so beautiful!
Hi mina❤️, thank you.😊
Gfriend at 3:49 omg!!

I love this. I went to insadong but forgot to check these out.
I want to go back! We missed so much when we went there. We ate at an Italian restaurant when we were at Insadong haha! It was our first day and my mom refused to try Korean food just yet. 😅😅😅
you're amazing ❤
11:24 - Your handwriting is very clear. 👍👍👍
The yakgwa are so cute!
Wow, everything so nice, so good... I'll be in Korea next week, I wish to be on all those places :) Kamsahamnida Prof. Ho.
It may be a lil weird but I also love watching people 😂
The cafes look gorgeous! c;
Oh my god, my fragile heart cannot handle this
I thought people watching other people and enjoying it was only my thing its nice to know other people do it too lol :)
Great cafes, make me wanna go there someday..
I love Insadong
I really like that there are still hints of Hanja or Chinese Characters in Korea. I can read some of it since my background is Chinese and I can understand the meaning behind it.
Awww your videos remind me of life in korea... 그립다 ㅠ
6:14 You and I think alike :)
6:45 That ice almost looks like a very crumbly cake
10:25 Which instrument is that? 가야금?
12:50 Who watches the watchers? Mina does. XD
Maybe someone else mentioned this in the comments already, but the rock table you were sitting at around 10:00 with engraved lines appears to be an old mill stone. Maybe not, but it sure looks like one with the grooves to allow the flour or other ground material to flow out to the edge.
😱i thought u were any only child!
love ur travels!
I tried Yakgwa the first time two weeks ago and it looked like yours. It tastes soooo good! - a bit like fresh donuts I think. Sadly we've nothing comperable in Germany:-(
Hi mina love your vids the papingseoo looks so good i dont like the red bean tyo hahahah just the icecream and ice and other stuff !
I love your channel and your videos make more
Hi Mina. I love your channel. It has helped me a lot with my Korean studies. I have a question if you don't mind. I recently heard the term 정 and I was very surprised because I don't know an English term for it. My friend tried to give example like let say your husband is treating you harshly and cheats on you all the time but you keep living with him because of 정. What does it mean? Thank you. Keep uploading...😊
So many nice cafés! What I'm wondering though, I heard that dining out alone or even just eating in cafés by yourself is very unusual in Korea and sometimes pretty difficult as you don't get served when you come in alone. Is that really true? Cause I'll be in Seoul for 4 days and I'll be alone but still want to visit all those cool places. You often seem to visit restaurants alone so I would love to know if you ever had problems. Thank you, love your channel :)
So beautiful Cafe. M.
Did the little snacks come with the tea ? Or did you buy them separately?
The tea that she drank from Shinyet Chatjip looks like the tea that Hae Soo served in Scarlet Heart.
LOVEEE😍😍🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱💚💙💜 YOUR VIDEOS... ALL THE WAY FROM LOS ANGELES HEY GIRL HEY
Oh my god everything is so beautiful, I wanna go to all of the cafes;_;
I bet you make a great pen pal! I love writing letters too.
Do you write to your mom in English or Korean? I saw your letter was written in English. Thanks for sharing these cafés. They all looked so comfortable and inviting. I would love to visit a different one every day.
how do you know when you should take your shoes off when going into a cafe or restaurant?
MsEliza dashwood I want To know about this too 😂
My Stery me2
Seasons with Palak i dont know too but i think we should chek anybody leave his /her shoes outside Lol
Ayca Aykac Hahaha.. Ya that's a wise idea lol
Usually, if there's a raised wooden floor in the entrance, then you are supposed to leave your shoes before you step up. You may be able to tell based on other people's shoes being left there, cubby holes for shoes being present, or even just a sign.
Very nice video! I'd like to visit some places like these when I make my trip to Korea. Oh, does your friend kiki has instagram?
Mina I love how weird you are. Super fun to watch you
i think for me, i love traditional korean houses
Kiki you look like indonesian. I'm always happy when watching your video's. I really like all about korea.
Hi Mina. I love watching your travel vlogs on your other channel and I've been following your travel adventures for a year now. I'm curious what you write in the letters to your mother. A lot of us send texts and emails (I'm sure you do too), quickly typing out our messages within seconds. I enjoyed the idea of writing letters to family and loved ones watching this video. Keep up the spirit! Cheers!
