- I was going to make a video about Jinx at some point in my life. I can't call myself a BL channel and ignore my frustrations with Kim Dan and Joo Jaekyung's relationship 😭😭

I hate the fact that there is no consequnces for jaekyung, he allways get what he wants in the story to the point that its revolting to see him always get away with his horrible actions, the author seems to be rewording him for this
Let be real, we still continue reading jinx just because we yearning for that non-existent imaginary redemption arc to come....
If anything, the GL sidestory of Sadistic Beauty is very wholesome...i wish more people read GLs.
Can you recommend me some? I've been trying to find one that I like but I have no luck. It doesn't need to be fluffy or wholesome, it can be spicy too or comedy, I just need well constructed characters.

That is a very fair assessment. While I do like character redemption arcs, there are times where I feel like where it feels so undeserved. Like Orochimaru in Naruto or the book version of Snape. Like there are some characters who are pos and there’s no rewriting what you can do to save them.

jiwon never assaulted dong gyun babe, yes he treated him like shit, but the actions there was NOTHING compared to the actions here, it'll be unreasonable if he only regrets for like 5-10 chapters after the constant assault for like 50 chapters

I read Jinx on the release premier on Lezhin. I was excited to read it since I enjoyed BJ Alex a lot. While I appreciated the art improvement and all, I couldn't continue reading it since I can't handle seeing blood during their first Ehem section 😂😂 The back entrance shouldn't be bleeding!!! Like my gosh... I probably would get back to it one day when I have the time. I didn't read sadistic beauty, but I presume it's the same as 'No Reason', which I dropped because the story became depressing & disturbing for me to handle 😰😰

But when I first started reading it and didn't have to wait for any uploads I rly hated their dynamic. For me, it felt like Jiwon wasn't as bad as Joo Jaekyung. Sadly, I am too invested in the story, and I just wanna see how it ends for the poor boy Kim Dan.
We sadly don't know much about his family. Maybe he has none, or it is just as abusive as that Boxer.
At this point, I just wanna see him be in a good position where he can live comfortably and without toxic people beating him down.
A fleeting guess is that he gets another client. Because he gets spotted or something and word gets out, he is taking care of the famous Jaekyung, so he must know his stuff.
He will be able to leave.
And I don't really believe that Joo Jaekyung has feelings for Kim Dan. At least not genuine ones cause he doesn't behave like it. It's not a love language to treat someone like that.
There needs to happen some big stuff if the redemption is gonna kick hard. Which I think is next to impossible at this point.
But maybe the author has an ace up their sleeve.

The weird part about Joo Jaekyung's jinx is that there's a thing in sports wherein you're not supposed to nut within 2 weeks before the fight since it messes with their hormones.
I guess in Jaekyung's case, his hormones getting fucked up actually improves his performance, _somehow_
I don't know how old some people are who read this, but I'm in my 40's and I love it. Maybe some younger people will drop it because they don't like how Dan is being treated. But, come on, I mean, it's a piece of fiction and whether Jaekyung gets a redemption arc, or he loses Dan because he's a jerk, it's all entertainment. I will keep reading it until Mingwa ends the series. I'm sure they have a plan! We just need to be patient and enjoy Jaekyungs physic and looks as his only redeeming quality in the meantime!
Also Sadistic Beauty Side Story was great, apart from the pathetic ending. You're right, he didn't deserve a redemption. But the writing and the art and some sections of the plot were fantastic storytelling.
Maybe he will lose a match, and trying to deal with the failure and all the media negative attention bonds with Dan?
I read like 3 chapters of Jinx and refuse to read the rest even tho the art style is calling my name but nah ah, Joo Jaekyung is a piece of shit and I simply cannot stand him at all. BJ Alex is on my to read list but Jinx and almost any torture stuff is a no no for me.
