Followed the whole fleece king saga on twitter. That was horrible to see. My mother and I played Pokemon go daily from launch until she passed away, and I can’t imagine how stressful anything happening to the account would be.

Also, I agree totally with what you said about Pokemon Go; it really is more than just a game. To me it’s the only game I’ve consistently played since it came out. It is really part of my life and memories like you said.
I actually saw the news about Fleece on Reddit and brought it up on the Mystic7 Discord and after a couple of extremely rude messages from a moderator caught a Ban from not only that server, but also the MysticRips server which I never broke a rule there the Mod was just mad and on a power trip. Its a shame I loved the discord and it was sad to see that someone who represents Mystic on the Discord would talk to someone in that manner.

It just really sucks that there is no check and balance system ya know. I was pretty active talking with others in the discord answering questions to new players and stuff. Felt like I was nice a respectable to everyone. Heck I even made a shout out to the Mod who belittled me like a week before about how quick the crew posted news updates. There is just no system in place that lets you talk to anyone about it to try and fix the situation dude was super rude and nasty and because he was a Mod was allowed to ban me with no actions back against him. @@Retroactive93
It just really sucks that I was banned from both servers, one where I didnt even break any rules, over bringing this up and then it was brought up here. There's no way to appeal the decision so there's not really in check against the Mods. They can do what they want and treat people how ever they would like which is what that Mod had done. Just upsetting that I was removed from a community that I enjoyed because someone was on a power trip. @@Retroactive93
Dude, you will not be able to sustain this forever, so maybe set a deadline of 2 or 3 months to work this insane schedule and then you gotta pick your battles. Your relationships will suffer, your personal health will spiral, and you will not be happy even if you are successful.

The bias of Niantic is hilarious had a friend whos account got hacked and tried retrieving it. But they told him nothing could be done and instead suspended his account and lost everything smh....
Not fair with other players when they say nothing can be done.
The issue is the lack of a customer service... Fleece has the ability to talk to someone. We get AI, bot, or canned responses. It's time for customer service.
naw dude he transferred basically everything in his account there were tons of videos of him eradicating everything in fleece's account but as of this morning niantic completely restored the account with all of fleece's stuff. But Niantic has never done that for anyone else. Not saying they should have left fleece to rot but like fleece isnt the first one to get burned by a glitch or a hack.

That's because his account was not "hacked" more like someone got his players name and was able to change the password, probably through niantic themselves....so this is on them.

I did see the Fleece drama on Twitter, but I also saw the things he was saying that turned people off. He comes off as arrogant, which is why he has so many haters. But still, getting hacked like that shouldn't happen to anyone.
If Niantic was in the fault of getting his account hacked. They'll reinstate and make it right. If it was just Fleece not having the proper mechanics on securing his account. My guess, they'll help him get his account back but won't reinstate any of the Pokemon that were deleted, etc.
My thoughts on this ^ -- I hope Fleece gets the better end though as that would be devasting.

its great that you touched this topic of the whole situation around fleece. i dont use twitter so i had no idea this happened. and to share some of the things you said. i think people like yourself in situations like this should get 'special treatment'. you guys make the community just as much as the game itself does. if this level of bad things happen there is a real possibility that whoever finds themselves in fully quits the game which is understandable. and that would be a big bummer if something could have been done to make the situation better even tho not everyone might have the ability to be treated the same.
and this is maybe a selfish thing. but some creators, if they see a player in distress in their community section actually jump in and help in whatever way they can. and in some cases it actually helps them get their account back or whatever it was that they needed a voice for. keeping the creators around is important to both niantic and the community.
that is so sad. firstly because I became quite fond of fleece. but secondly and I guess it should be firstly, seeing that niantic is doing next to nothing. especially for such a big spender and long time player and influencial as fleece. im scared to think what a "nobody" would experience if this happened to them

Crazy idea! How about getting a short tote to set on the floor beside your desks? Then when you rip packs it "should" catch most of them and make clean up quicker and easier when your done. Then you can just empty the tote into the trash afterwards.
Social Engineering is the easiest way to hack an account. That theory makes a lot of sense.
Its hard to tell. Niantic did help me when my nephew was playing around with my phone and deleted my shinies. They rolled it back and that was a year ago or so

I’ve spent 15k on the game, I had a lot more 2016’s but a scummy old friend tried snatching them while I wasn’t paying attention and gave some to himself. One of these Pokémon was a perfect 2016, even if you pay Niantic’s bills they won’t recover anything. They gave fleece his stuff because he’s well connected and well known.

Yeah, in some videos of the hacker the start day of the account was different (FleeceKing likes to spoof, it would be very convenient if the hacker access his spoofer account too), and the timing after his insensitive comments and fake apology it's very convenient.
Fleece is dope. Always enjoyed watching his streams when I can catch them.
My god, there's something so satisfying with seeing all those wrappers on the floor. 500 packs look like nothing. (Although that's the most I've been able to quantify so far).

He actually deleted all his shundos and most of his really rare Pokémon but Niantic reverted all of it. Happy for fleece!
The ‘hacker’ posted another video transfering many other Pokémon. I know because the magnitude of the guy posting the video of admitting to being in control of fleeces account and the amount of people drawing attention to it is why fleece got his account back in its original state. My partner was telling me that the servers have things like ‘memories’ so they’re able to revert his account back a day to make it right with the right pokemon. I don’t think Niantic is right for not helping others in similar situations. I hope this makes them have stronger security and they reinstate more people’s accounts and mons when similar things happen. Fleece says he’s not allowed to talk about the situation much at all so I’m assuming lawyers are involved lol.
Why don’t you just give the guy who need to be in earlier a key or the passcode or whatever? Then you wouldn’t need to change your schedule?

If someone deleted all my favourite photos on my phone, I’d be so fucking angry and so fucking sad. So I understand how king is upset about that Pokémon being transferred by my only shiny 100% Pokémon I’d be very upset because I only have one. There’s so many Pokémon that have amazing memories to them that I’ve got on Pokémon GO. It’s me to have a lot of friends in my community.

He didn´t hack the account., He got help from Niantic support using a flaw in their system. He transferred a bunch of shiny and 100% pokemon as the video shows. It wasn´t just the Mareep, that was just a fraction. BTW Fleeceking is nowhere near the #1 player in the world. A cool joke, but he´s far from #1.

Guy who ‘hacked’ fleece posted a video today with his email linked to the account via email. Niantic messed up big and changed the Gmail tied to the account to the bad guy, confirmed.

That "hacker" Is a scammer, he will get dummies share their log in information so he can give them coins but later try to sell the pogo account via different twitter.
