I know for a fact that they (Niantic) won't give back transferred pokemon to the average player. Had this happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Usually, the response from Niantic once a Pokémon is transferred it's gone for good, and if you want to evolve a eevee have as your buddy.
Hearing about what niantic did, for only one person and the aftermath reminds of The Hangover. Where Phil has to call the bride to be from the desert.... "we f**ked up".
You are one of the only pokemon go creators, I watch that is actually talking about this no one else such a Mystic, 7 Brandon Tan have done a video on this I think they are scared to say anything so this does not happen to them!
Hope they improve security, but it would be great if they added recently transferred or deleted box. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has accidentally transferred a good Pokémon before. My mistake was transferring a maxed out shadow Magnezone.
Yeah good he got it back. I'm sure Fleeceking had to sign a NDA, which is why he can't go into "details". I'm sure they gave him a fat check to not discuss it in detail. Any other company that gets hacked and/or compromised with personal information has been sued. Big can of worms was opened.
ive seen other comments like that one said their nephew got two shinies they transferred back. Probably has a lot to do with how much $ the account spends on items how likely they are to help
Yeah, Niantic kicked a friend off mine out of their account and wouldn’t let them back in. They tried contacting Niantic but they did nothing. So they completely lost their account.
The one thing that really gets to me about Fleeceking is his claim to be the first player in the world to reach lvl 50. He got elevated from lvl 48 to 49 because of of a Niantic glitch that reset everyone on lvl 48, mostly players from the Apac region. There could have been other players who benefitted from the same glitch, but who don´t have a UA-cam channel or a Twitch account. Nobody knows. Anyways, he definately wasn´t the first one in the world to complete all the tasks to reach Lvl 50 in a legit manor. I watched his Twitch stream when he made the claim, and haven´t watched any of hit streams either on Twitch or UA-cam since.
I am glad he got his stuff back, it is bs that one can lose it so easily. Different question, if they can target their favorites, can they use the algorithm against their critics? 🤔 Also interesting that this happened as they are trying to get everyone to link up their accounts.
As most of the companies I'm quite sure that Niantic have backup of their database including every player. Question is how long do they store the data? Most likely 72 hours or up to 1 week by most. So I think what they did they just restored his account from backup 24 hours ago- maybe he lost some progress that he did on those 24 hours but it was a fair price to pay to get all those nice shinies back. Maybe they are even few of a kind in all PoGo universe.
reminds me of the hacking of Jessa Buu account and Niantic did nothing back in Nov. 8 of 2022, fleeceking does have some pull since he stream their game and help pomote it. plus everything is on servers and kept on hard drives of every account made, they give me the same crap we can't do anything or change anything of give you back stuff from the game. plus what the guy did is a felony and should be jailed for that, since people account have value and am sure his in the 40 to 50 k. plus hacking into a business. this is a form of entertainment for people and putting into something you enjoy is not wrong, since everyone has something, they enjoy and dump thousands into it.
Would love to know the juicy details of what happened 🧐 hopefully this precedent will make it fairer for everyone, although i I severely doubt it. Even when you mention the algorithm essentially it's exposing shady workings and asking for fairness ✌️
I asked them to delete my account but a day after I just regretted and I wrote a mail to express how much I regretted to do that and to see if they can let me have my account again. And they said no.
Why did u go out of your way to even ask for that? There's a button ingame to do so, and isn't it just simpler to abandone the said acc and move on? To contact support for acc deletion is a super redundant move.
So…what’s the final verdict? Will they offer the same scenario to everyone and anyone from this point on that may find themselves in fleeceking’s position with the same compensation of restoring everything that was “lost”. Sounds dicey.
So I think it would likely depend on the added severity and the unusual amount that is deleted. FleeceKing got his mons that were deleted back because the sheer amount that was deleted in that takeover session would probably greatly outweigh a situation where only one hundo/shundo/shiny is deleted. So if you wanted to recover mons that were deleted by this hack, better make sure it was a lot of them transferred at once.
Sorry I forgot to mention. So to be clear again lol. If you spend enough money and make enough positive streams and UA-cam videos, yes you are the golden child. Did they make him sign a NDA a Non Disclosure Agreement? Can not talk about that seems like insider/special treatment.
Nah i see ya point bro, shit happened so quickly for one of the biggest players but us regular players would have to just chalk the L. Shit is wack but i get it, he also one of they biggest marketing advantages so they gotta make him happy.
The thing is most peoples accounts aren't on open view like fleeces account is, fleece can at least provide documented 'ownership' of the mons deleted, just anybody could say oh I had a hundo shiny level 50 this that or the other did they?
It’s about time niantic supported their customers more then they normally do, actually look after their customer base which is in turn their community. On all levels they should be providing a customer care service for problems and issues that we all have faced throughout the years, good or bad that’s what it’s their for on an individual basis as most cases will generally be different. Just an idea but it is usually the case for big companies or at least should be especially when there’s a lot of money involved
The real joke is that that guy wanted to do it for infamy and because he wanted to enrage the community even more by exposing Niantic's potential. Glad Fleece is sleeping peacefully
Definitely not a stunt. Niantic would never want to let the information out that they can restore stuff with this accuracy because they aren't going to do it for the average player. It just is what it is. If stuff gets transferred by accident or someone participates in those offers to get shinies and XP/Dust for so much money per hour or whatever, its probably a pain for Niantic to sort it and get the account back to the proper owner. Your account security is up to you. Play the game the way its meant to be played, be happy with the pokemon you wind up with, and enjoy your account for what your efforts and energy have brought you and you should hopefully have no issues.
I feel like because there's video proof of everything being deleted and the blatant stolen account and posts saying he didn't care if he got caught...that's the only reason he got his mons back
It's soo funny ..when other UA-camrs have earlier made such videos like Brandon tan exposing some players hacking into their ids and selling them but they could not get their I'd back with all mins..but this golden child got all his mons back.. really unfair of Pokemon go.. that they haven't taken such steps for other players....just first exception to the rule book added today for naintic team
Niantic keeps snapshots of all accounts from time to time. They restored him a previous backup. He lost XP, mons stardust etc... he juat travel back in time actually lol
So is the offender still allowed to play? Fine the mons are restored but if the offender is still playing thats a huge problem. Accessing someone elses account is definitely a TOS issue.
AK.....your not "silly".........i saw your beef with fleece and totally side with you and understood your point..........im just guessing but i would bet that fleece has broken TOS over a million times....... i also bet he knows someone at Niantic and the changed his rng rate so he could make content on their behalf and be niantics poster boy........😮
Practically all the developers at Niantic are incompetent and neglectful. They rarely ever expand, grow, and improve this game in any meaningful way. Other than adding new Pokemon and adding team rocket, and GBL. Niantic is completely incompetent, and neglecting their responsibility regarding updating, maintaining, growing, improving, experimenting, improving the look and feel appeal, of this game (their own game). It's as if Niantic is collecting large drops of cash from us, and not spending it back into developing this game to improve it. They are cashing out and running, rarely taking accountability for doing their do-diligence in their own damn game. How do you think that lonesome Niantic developer feels knowing he fucked up. Niantic clearly runs a skeleton crew, probably 1 day week for 2 hours a day! They neglect this game
Niantic is a horrible company when it comes to transparency. Companies like Respawn with Apex, Blizzard with WoW (only in the last several years), or even Arrowhead with Helldivers 2, are constantly expressing their design decisions and interacting with the community, releasing patch notes, etc. Niantic drops crap without any detailed notes, acts like long-standing bugs dont exist (white screen raid glitch), and never explain themselves. But yea, would be nice if they opened up about their capability in helping average players.
It’s bs is they gave him his account and everything back I want my old account that was hacked back as well smh I’m bout to quit to dumb game fr how do they know didn’t share info at some point
I’m glad things worked out for Fleece in the end but this whole incident has shown how poor of a company Niantic is and how double standards are a thing for them. The average user wouldn’t get a resolution as fast as Fleece would and most likely would be denied or have to go through hoops for a result. I’m hoping this incident will make them change how they handle security and recovery but I doubt it.
Some of you in the comments sound surprising shot that Niantic would of course recover as quickly as possible their top player somebody that they clearly makes a lot of money through. I don't follow Pokemon go player and even I know that people accounts have been hacked for years and of course Niantic does not care unless you're someone that's higher up on a totem pole and a high value player it's just like in a movie industry. When a famous person has something happen to them the whole and a police do what they can to try to solve the case but when it's a regular civilian someone who's not famous they'll either just ignore the situation or take their sweet sweet time to help. Niantic is a business and all they care about is profits. So even though we play this game for hours days months and we invest our time into it just know that that doesn't matter to them it's all about how much money we invest into the company or if any of us make it to be a top tier Danielle sent us an invite.

I’m glad he got his account back. All that work to be taken away was just not right.
Great video
They need to do this for everyone and also they need to put out a statement to talk about how, moving forward they are going to prevent this from happening anyway. As far as I was aware it was nearly impossible for legit people getting their accounts back with proof let alone an imposter!
Show my level 50 account in which I've spent thousands of dollars got deleted last year. I don't know how. I don't know if somebody got into it. I don't know so they can restore that. That's kind of bull crap being that I'm a nobody in the community and they don't know who I am. They don't care to do it. That's bull crap. They told me that they can't restore any data. They told me once it's gone it's gone well. Clearly they f****** can
Sorry you got ignored by this game, its truely terrible they havent bothered to recover peoples accounts prior to this and probably still wont. I ultimately quit about a month ago basically because niantic has ruined their own game
No sympathy for fleeceking after finding out he's a cheater and mocks his followers. "I get paid to play pokemon go and talk" while we all work.. will always be a cheater
How was he cheating? Was he spoofing locations or sharing his login info or multi-accounting?
@@rookierider2096he admitted cheating? What has he done? Does he chest regularly? If you know if, niantic also must know but still gives him favorable treatment 👎🏻
keep it 100. you always have, and I hope you always will
I'm happy he got his account back.. awesome keep grinding bro that crazy that shouldn't happen to anyone that put much effort grinding & but that's cool glad to he back in action
I know for a fact that they (Niantic) won't give back transferred pokemon to the average player. Had this happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Usually, the response from Niantic once a Pokémon is transferred it's gone for good, and if you want to evolve a eevee have as your buddy.
Niantic didn't helped me when my old account get stolen i asked for help so many times 😢😢😢
I saw someone commented in a Facebook group, that their kid transferred a Pokémon previous to this incident, Niantic restored it.
ive seen other comments like that one said their nephew got two shinies they transferred back. Probably has a lot to do with how much $ the account spends on items how likely they are to help
@@jhudson_tiedye Possibly, only Niantic would know.
I wouldn't get your hopes up folks
I don't think most of the user base is as famous as him 😂
Yeah, Niantic kicked a friend off mine out of their account and wouldn’t let them back in. They tried contacting Niantic but they did nothing. So they completely lost their account.
I think your position in this matter is 100% right, good job PokeAK.
This video is exactly why I like AK. I’d like to have a beer or two with him.
Would love to know the juicy details of what happened 🧐 hopefully this precedent will make it fairer for everyone, although i
I severely doubt it.
Fleece did not get his mons back, but he is just so darn good that he was able to somehow catch all the same shundos again in one day! 😂
The thing is most peoples accounts aren't on open view like fleeces account is, fleece can at least provide documented 'ownership' of the mons deleted, just anybody could say oh I had a hundo shiny level 50 this that or the other did they?
Niantic revealing that they just give players the good old middle finger salute When they contact support. Not surprised.
How many people get their accounts hacked and Pokemon deleted? Does this happen that often that they need to restore all of these people’s Pokemon?
4:10 MasterWarlord is out of line, but he's right! He won't be the last to cross FleeceKing. That is assured. 😊
6:43, the fact thats more shinies than i own by 97 and thats just costume + not traded
The real joke is that that guy wanted to do it for infamy and because he wanted to enrage the community even more by exposing Niantic's potential. Glad Fleece is sleeping peacefully
This was the plan all along. They were both in on the "hack"
My account got banned for no reason and they are not letting me access it back
Honestly if this happen to me I wish I could get it all back, I’m happy that fleece got them back.
If they can recover transferred Pokémon, they can create Pokemon out of thin air (clone).
I wonder if they'd replace stardust if they chose to waste a whole heap of it. It's definitely who you know!!!
I feel like because there's video proof of everything being deleted and the blatant stolen account and posts saying he didn't care if he got caught...that's the only reason he got his mons back
He has a big following in his region and losing him would hurt Pokemon Go.
jump to 4:15, nothing important before
That comes down to Niantic lacking in intelligence. They should have known and seen what was going on
It's soo funny ..when other UA-camrs have earlier made such videos like Brandon tan exposing some players hacking into their ids and selling them but they could not get their I'd back with all mins..but this golden child got all his mons back.. really unfair of Pokemon go.. that they haven't taken such steps for other players....just first exception to the rule book added today for naintic team
Niantic keeps snapshots of all accounts from time to time. They restored him a previous backup. He lost XP, mons stardust etc... he juat travel back in time actually lol
They told me that I was shut outta luck. Thanks Niantic
Someone logged into my account and wiped me out. He did not bother to change my info just deleted mons
Most likely traded them away
Love your videos
Random people have been commenting that they've had Pokemon restored by Niantic before as well.
I've never had any mons restored but they did restore a 1000+ stack of great balls for me.
Thanks Lord
It's was really unfair what happened to him
Practically all the developers at Niantic are incompetent and neglectful.
Yes the guy hacked the account. Hacking is strangley less then what people that watch too much TV think it is. Maybe look into hacking vs cracking.
That being said hes not sponsored so he has no special connection to niantic. Im expecting you to bring to light the ACTUAL foolery going on here
I have my account associated with my google account. And the moment that account is used on any app that is not my device i am notified first thing!
I’m not surprised he does spend hella money after all oh lol fleece was saying the same thing he’s said don’t make me Niantics punching bag
It's fleece, I would expect him to get his stuff back.
I JUST SAW A SOLAR BEAM GROUDON AGAINST MY URSALUNA WTF
Let's be Honest yes Niantic hugely F'd up, their own security system seems open range, No Fleece is not sponsored by Niantic but he did strike a really good partnership with Twitch, honestly I don't condone the idiot who did what he did honestly this does fall on Niantic and being so oblivious
The only problem with this is, as everyone says, is favoritism. Will we be hearing about your "average" player getting their hacked account back? Probably not.
In 1 month, Niantic will drop the professor’s lab update, allowing players to travel to irl stops (like gyms) to consider picking up their discarded Pokemon for a 2nd chance 😂
I would love that feature. Please pitch it to Niantic! lol
This was a stunt big time cause Niantic don’t work that fast to recover anything. It was definitely not real his account being taken at all
Isn't he a sponsored player? Like Nick, Mystic, and Zoë
Edit
Forget it. You answered for me
