What’s up everybody, today we’re in Ringwood, England for the UK’s biggest airsoft event; The National Airsoft Festival. This event happens annually at Ground Zero Airsoft and is attended by roughly 3,500 players and festival goers.

DesertFox Airsoft is an Airsoft UA-cam channel dedicated to promoting the safe, fun and unique game of airsoft. Airsoft is a military simulation sport where players participate in mock battles with replica guns and use military type tactics. Unlike paintball, airsoft uses 6mm round BBs made of hard plastic.

Believe it or not, tht actually happened in WW2! A british (or canadian?) Commando was sent to a town with his buddy. Unfortunately, his buddy got shot. He tried to bring him back to his camp but died midway. Filled with a firey rage, he picked up his fallen comrades gun and amunition, rushed back to the town and absolutely slaughtered them jerries. Whenever he ran out of ammo, he would "CoD 2" (wink winj nudge nidge) and pickup an MP40 and restart. Of course he took prisoners. I think he took like 40 POWs. He ran around the town yelling stuff I forgot. I kinda forgot some details here and there and I may or may not be wrong about him being sent to the town with his buddy. So basically everything that happened in the video has actually happened in WW2. Even when the town was clear, he rushed back to his command post and told everybody on the way, I think.

Clearing out that small town was like watching a piece of fine art, pure perfection! sometimes doing what seems unrealistic is so unexpected it catches the enemy off guard.
Oh yes, this is my local site. Been shot point blank and shot a few people like that in those huts😂
i do this all the time its ridiculous... ill make bets with people even, "how much you bet i can walk to the piece of cover/bushes and not get shot at" *does it* then we just shrug at each other really confused and keep that energy going haha i cant tell you how many times ive done that and gotten behind the enemy team.

This. People don't realize just how valuable of an advantage being unpredictable is. There are definitely moments in real life where you can just storm a heavily defended bunker all by yourself, mainly because you're so fast and confident that it catches the enemy off guard, and also because they're just not expecting it. This doesn't go for just airsoft either, but anything really.
People always joke about spinning attacks being ineffective because they'll just "punch you mid-spin because this isn't a movie", but look up "spinning kick knockouts UFC" on youtube, and you'll see TONS of moments where a spin kick actually knocks a dude out because it's fast, unpredictable, and incredibly powerful. There are moments where I passed a test or a presentation I was completely unprepared for, simply because I felt confident and kept my momentum up without ever slowing down.
If life has ever taught me anything, it's that there's no such thing as anything being "unviable" or "impossible". Instead it's just a perspective, or a matter of "risk versus reward".

So I’ve done this event for years. Knowing the AO and having a really solid grip of the objectives helps massively. It’s also an event for teams. In 2010 I went with 3 guys, none of us knew what we were doing, and we didn’t have radios. In 2017 the last time I went I was in a team of 8 who’d all played there a lot, we communicated both what our planned route to each objective would be and which dead zone we’d meet at as the radio channels can get pretty crowded and we picked our objectives to avoid the ones in the centre area where the worst bullshit happens. A sense of humour is important because every year some bullshit happens as a consequence of having 2,500 players in one place. It’s just simple maths that somewhen in a 3 day event, you are going to run across some cockwombles, But that’ll be 10 minutes out of 3 days, and if you have your head right, it shouldn’t spoil it.
Anyone looking at this and fancying travelling to it, I’d highly recommend getting online in advance and finding some like minded regular players to befriend so you get the benefit of some local knowledge.

Little heads up for non-Brits: London is a completely different world from the rest of the UK even Kent County which is adjacent to London is a completely different world from the metro hellscape that is London.
11:24 I took a few minutes to figure out why Leah's camouflage is pixelated, and why it's effective.
You see, before 1970s, it was blobby, instead of the "digital camouflage", as we know it today, and that wasn't all to effective.
Then we got the square ones, which work great at a distance, because it blends in with the backdrop, but not close.
That was before October 1st, 2004. Then they found another sort of camouflage - Scorpion camouflage. This works at a distance, along with close range. At close range, it makes detail or definitions like branches and leaves (if it's a woodland camouflage)
This "Scorpion" camouflage is a mixture of the old blobby mess, along with the pixelated, "digital" camouflage. This camouflage is what you see soldiers wearing now.
Was just curious, and now you know too.
"American soldiers" nearly every other country uses camo that looks like dense thick twigs and green. It looks better

@@genderbender6958 every military uses camo colors and patterns specially developed for the native surroundings they're likely to be operating in. Central and Northern Europe generally uses darker tones with mostly variants of mixed green, sometimes a bit of dark brown mixed in as well. The more north you go, the smaller the individual textures become, because the types of trees and bushes change. When you go further south, brighter tones of green and tan substitute the dark greens, and patterns become larger and more blocky/segmented. American is typically something that fits middle-eastern rocky/sandy and dry environments because that's where they mostly operate.

I remember watching this a few months back, just watching again now and From 3:30 to 6:00 is something you’d expect to happen on a mission in a game it was executed so nicely like he was the protagonist in a FPS game, literally cleared the base before his team even reached there

Thats one of the Main differences I've seen from Ground Zero being my local ground for my whole time airsofting, Americans play alot faster than us in the uk but we have 0 cares for full autoing (on outside fields atleast I personally can't speak for indoor fields as I rarely play at them being a southern country chap) but Ground zero is, and will always be one of my favorite fields even though its always crappy weather and can be steep

I hope you enjoyed it at Ground Zero Airsoft! Especially in my home town of Ringwood. At 3:37 is the first place I got my 5 kills in a row, I was sprayed up the legs by an AK on that road you passed too, It's a good, tight spot and easy and sometimes hard to storm. Got shot in the forehead for the first time there and it f*cking hurt!
Hope you come back to visit the site, haven't been there myself for years and years but it's really worth it. Thanks for playing
