But lets assume just the raw speed at which my cpu can run over each possibility. With 3 values; around 17000000 microseconds for 1 billion and 2 values which i forgot... You know what, screw it, definetly more than 500 years, also i dont know if i can count on the time module since ehh, now that i think of it, theres a shit ton of factors to include, but assuming everything is absolutely perfect, yeah, 540 years. Overriding by itself won't do anything but use more power, you could override the voltage setting for your CPU or GPU but that won't give you faster results. Override is just you manually entering the Voltage that your PC will use. Overclocking makes your CPU or GPU faster, making something like brute force (as the topic of the video) a faster process. It is overclocking not overriding. You would use override to overclock though, but that's to optimize the voltage usage depending on your overclock, so your CPU doesn't shutoff due to insufficient voltage, or waste energy and heat up if too much voltage is used than required. What gilfoyle did was indeed an Overclock as a faster clock speed = more instructions in a finite amount of time.

It is overclocking not overriding. You would use override to overclock though, but that's to optimize the voltage usage depending on your overclock, so your CPU doesn't shutoff due to insufficient voltage, or waste energy and heat up if too much voltage is used than required. What gilfoyle did was indeed an Overclock as a faster clock speed = more instructions in a finite amount of time.
