Was it in VR at all after it came out? I remember when it first launched that's what everyone's big complaint was was no VR for it. Did they have a period of time where they supported VR on foot? I know for sure they'll do it, they're definitely not going to let themselves become anything close to Star citizen, and with the fact that starfield's not only does not support VR but also does not support HOTAS they've got a great opportunity here to pull in new players that are finding out Starfield is not going to be what they expected.
@RMoore-uy3zz surprise I already asked and they said there will be nothing, they will not earn money from that and the work is a lot, so well there you have your answer, do not give more money to those lazy people
Have a similar setup but with a yaw2, and let me tell you that the jump in immersion it’s equivalent going flat screen to vr to vr to motion rig. I am at the frontier.
Seeing that they're no longer supporting consoles though gives me a big boost of confidence that VR is going to be coming very soon to Odyssey. Once that happens I'm afraid I may lose my wife and kids if I'm being honest.
How is the transition? I pulled the trigger on the upgrade to Odyssey finally, my actual screen is a 48-in LG C2, my understanding is that when I'm on foot but already in VR I'll literally just see a flat screen in the headset is that accurate? Am I going to enjoy it more taking off my headset for on foot stuff? Or is the transition pretty seamless? Appreciate you doing this video!
@@LunchAndVR yeah lol I'm an idiot, I saw it minutes or rather moments after I left that comment lmfao! So the big question is, am I going to want to take off my headset given the gorgeous big OLED screen I have? Or is it still going to look pretty damn good in the quest 2? Lastly I have voice attack, I actually use it for work oddly enough do you know of any services that will set it up and elite dangerous for pay? I use a Logitech x56 HOTAS, but immersion wise I want to hear my shit talk back to me so damn bad. I've taken a look at the setup and it's just outside of my patience level despite having set up voice attack for work lol, but I'm assuming there's got to be some services out there that will set it up for me for like 40 or 50 bucks right?
@@RMoore-uy3zz I would personally much rather do On-foot on flatscreen, especially if you're spending hours on it. If it's a quick run, then I wouldn't take the headset off. For voice attack my HCS pack is in the description, it's actually quite easy to set up, it auto does almost everything for you. Granted you need some basic knowledge of Voice attack which you already have, should be a quick one
@@LunchAndVR oh no kidding? I thought even with those voice packs you still had to do a bunch of setup, I will check it out tonight then man! And I'll follow your advisement, it's not that hard to take off the headset and put it back on so if I'm going to be on foot for a while I'll enjoy the screen but seems like otherwise I can just stay in the headset for like space stations and stuff I would imagine! Surprised it took me two years to finally do the upgrade to Odyssey but your video alone just made the whole thing so much more enjoyable, I really appreciate it!
Can you read the dashboard just fine? I tried with my quest2 but text is incredibly hard to read. But I didn't try running at 2x resolution, my gpu is not nearly that powerful
Would like to know how you have your settings set up. I have a 4090 rog strix overclocked 250 core 1450 mem with a 7800x3d and i dont see how you get it to run on 120hz. Unless your running a very low reaolution. Also how you have nvidia control pannel set up. You must know something noone else knows. Whats your trick.
@@Riphaven1313 it's not very hard Elite performs relatively well in VR as long as you're not in a station. If you really can't hit the fps you can turn on FSR in Elite for that perf boost
when they will make VR on foot i'll come back. It;s the only thing holding me back now

You wouldn‘t believe how jealous I am
very giood gameplay!!
The flat screem could be better, if they added an option to increase its size and have the ability to wrap it around you ..
Meanwhile Fdev: Hmm, how about instead of fixing VR we give you LOTS OF GOLD?

Welcome to Odyssey, you can see the transition to flatscreen at 3:15 !

Yes, I'm supersampling at 1.5 so the text is very clear for me. If it's a lower resolution then it might be more blur
@@LunchAndVR i can supersampling 2.0 just fine with my 4090, i never had better anti-aliasing with that.
@@Poboot Oculus link only allows us to supersample max at 1.5, if I use SteamVR I can supersample to 500% :)

Which vr headset do you have and how many fps do you have
Is that a custom board your flight sticks are on? Details?
Nope just a big mouse pad
I have a Nvidia RTX 3070 . Do you have any advice on improving the anti-aliasing ?
Yes, turn off Anti Aliasing, change FSR to normal. Then adjust your supersampling instead to as much as your pc can handle
@LunchAndVR that's a remarkable improvement !!! Thanks Heaps!!😃👍
