2020 was actually a good year for England rugby comparatively. I think everyone wants to forget that year for other reasons... But man I miss Kruis, Launchbury, and Underhill on form. Absolutely class they all were.
There were valid criticisms of Eddie’s last couple of years, but when the attack was actually firing (even in his last games vs NZ and Sa) it looked good. Yes it probably didn’t click enough but you can genuinely see how another 6-8months and a WC run and it might have clicked. You can feel the change when Botherwick takes over, no shape, no vision. I’m so bored of watching England play boring rugby and also lose games.
Amazing video again, love the new format/idea, i dont know how difficult it'd be but it'd be great to add the dates & competition each try is from add a bit more flavour and easier to remember the team and what rugby was like back then.
Worrying for England fans is that of the 25 mins nearly 16 mins(15.51 precise ) are tried scored before the the start of 2022 so in the last two years England have been awful at scoring tries
My thoughts from this video: 1. England's driving maul is vital 2. What did Radwan do wrong? pops up half way through, scores a bunch of lovely trys then disappears 3. Noticeable lack of bulldozer back rowers getting over the line 4. Smith creates chaos for the opposition, surely England can't put off giving him the keys to their attack too much longer
It will be interesting to see if we score many tries in this World Cup series. If we do, will they be in attractive open play, or just bundling over through rucks and mauls? We can hope, I suppose.
Write them off all you want but those who know rugby know that World Cup rugby requires a different gear and England have enough individual quality to get out of their group and go beyond. It's their team play & game plan that is the question mark at the moment. People are writing off England and Australia because they've lost a few warm up games.... both teams can and should make Quarter Finals!
They’ve written England off because they look atrocious and have lost so many games at home. I couldn’t name one good player at the moment ,I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they don’t get out the group.
surprised this video is 25 minutes long. barring a few games all the rugby we've played since 2019 has been dire, under Jones or Borthwick which I dont get. Under Eddie for three years we played brilliant Rugby, then we lost the WC Final and he seemed to have said fuck this, ripped everything up and got us playing boring kick tennis. Since then nothings changed, our domestic leagues are crumbling with three clubs gone bust in the last year, the championship (league below) is falling away, and there's half the players playing grassroots rugby, than there was before covid (and it was falling even before then). Local Clubs are going under every week, games are getting cancelled and The RFU couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. Twenty Years ago we won the world cup, now we're a million miles away from that. English Rugby is in the mud, and the RFU are responsible. Stupid rules about playing abroard and a stupid salary cap has led our players to either face the decision of play in a lower class league or play better Rugby but not play for England. They've crippled the game at every level and they're getting away with it, while they sit in Twickenhams suite and eat nice food and drink wine. They have no idea how to even start to save English Rugby. If this was the Premier league there would be enquiries from all levels, but because its Rugby nobody cares and its swept under the carpet. The RFU needs going, and the whole thing needs a reset from clubs, to the league system, to the private/public school descrimination within Rugby itself, but that won't happen. Remember this is the same RFU that voted against a world cup because they were so against professionalism because it "went against" rugby values. As Will Carling once described them the RFU are a bunch of old farts who haven't got a clue. The game I love is dying, and I hate it. But hey I might as well watch this video, and try and enjoy some of it
eddie was in the process of developing a new attacking system for the 2023 world cup and did not want to reveal too much. If you want to learn more about this i recommend Squidge Rugby's video titled 'So What Is Eddie Jones Up To?'. AThe RFU cracked under the pressure as results stagnated (also because EJ criticised our heavy reliance on the private schooling system for talent as you say) and now we have Borthwick and a sub-par coaching team.
My son asked "why this vid had to go back to 2019?".........I replied, "if he'd made a video of All the English Tries since 2022, it would be really, really short, and it would be called all English tries v Italy!"...........Then he asked, "Why are you laughing dad!"
Ben Youngs looks...instrumental? That can't be right, I heard he was the worst player to have ever played for England ever and he in fact should never have gotten 1 cap let alone 100?

It’s nice to look back on the 2020 6 Nations when we were scoring tries, winning games and twickenham actually seemed to have an atmosphere
Wait until they meet my pumas , you'll see that they'll remember how to play and give us +35 points

Couldn’t even score a try against a 14 man team until the very end 😂
@@somanytakennames that's exactly what I said. England remembered how to play and gave us 27. I was close
That May try v Ireland at 4:33 deserved a full Twickenham crowd, sensational
It is nice of you to make shorter videos from time to time.

Players have said that Eddie broke them. Borthwick is in charge of that same team.
I’m not happy with how Borthwick has got us playing rn, but I do trust in the next 4 years to get us good again

watching some of these is even better when you know they end in a try, you get that moment of "how is he gonna score from here then"
England need to have Joe cokansiga back into the team

Jonny May suddenly came in for flak at the backend of Jones’ tenure. Fine, fine winger.
It all started coming apart when they switched to Umbro….. 🤔
Our play looked so fluid and clean a few years ago. Ben Youngs actually ran and played with some pace

20 minutes shorter than the all blacks tries video, tells you something about Englands form this cycle
Tbf those extra 20 mins were probably from the Tonga and USA games alone 😂

Compare him then and now it’s genuinely like he’s been possessed by the ghost of Bergamasco
that last 20 minutes against New Zealand was the last time England actually looked good its been a step and quick decline from there
im surprised this is as long as it is haha
It's no coincidence that most of these tries are Vs poor teams, or pick and drive...Zzzzzz. We are so dull
