My F-Type turned heads even in Monaco, I mean it's a Firesand Orange but the point is, it's a posh car as well as a sports car and an amazing Grand Tourer! We packed for 3 weeks for 2 people and it all fit into the boot!
I was never a sports car guy. But,after my wife passed away,I decided to buy a 2024 C8 HTC and I love it. I have been surprised at how many "thumbs up" I get at stop lights. It was designed to resemble some of the European super cars such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, but at 1/3 the price. You cannot go wrong with either car.
Thank you for this awesome review. For all the nay sayers: The Underrated Gem: My Review of the Jaguar F-TYPE R When it comes to high-performance sports cars, few are as misunderstood as the Jaguar F-TYPE R. As a dedicated Jaguar enthusiast with a history of owning these remarkable vehicles, I can confidently say this car deserves a lot more credit than it gets. The perception that Jaguars are unreliable is an outdated myth, one perpetuated by those who’ve never experienced the thrill, history, and character that these vehicles bring to the table. Let’s be clear about one thing: high-powered sports cars require more maintenance than your typical SUV or commuter vehicle. This isn’t a quirk exclusive to Jaguar; it’s the reality of any car engineered for exhilarating performance and designed to take you from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye. If you’re expecting a high-performance sports car to require the same level of upkeep as a Toyota 4Runner, you’re simply misinformed. The F-TYPE R, like any serious sports car, needs attention to perform at its peak; but it’s a dependable machine, not the fragile car some claim it to be. The Jaguar F-TYPE R delivers a driving experience unlike any other, standing as a modern masterpiece of British engineering. Its supercharged V8 unleashes 550/575 horsepower with ease, delivering an acceleration that is thrillingly fast yet smooth, and the exhaust note is incomparable. The sound that erupts from this car is pure music to an enthusiast’s ears; deep, throaty, and unapologetically loud. It’s a sound that commands attention, a signature roar that resonates with the rich racing heritage Jaguar brings to the table. Jaguar’s legacy is all over this car; even Enzo Ferrari himself once said the Jaguar E-Type was the most beautiful sports car ever made; a testament to Jaguar’s design legacy. The handling of the F-TYPE R is sharp and confidence-inspiring. It’s responsive, and while it may not have the “razor-sharp” feel of a track-focused car, it’s precise enough to tackle winding roads with an agility that feels both thrilling and accessible. It’s a car built to perform in the real world, not just on the track, and that makes it all the more enjoyable as an everyday performance car. Calling Jaguars “garbage” is the opinion of the misinformed, those who haven’t experienced the true quality of a Jaguar. They may not know the rich history that surrounds these cars; the racing legacy, the engineering prowess, and the passion that has gone into every detail of models like the F-TYPE R. The F-TYPE SVR is an undervalued gem in the sports car world, combining power, luxury, and character in a way few other cars can. For those who understand its heritage and respect the care it takes, the F-TYPE R is a thrilling, reliable, and beautifully crafted sports car; a true icon in the making, echoing Jaguar’s prestigious history and deserving of its place in any true car enthusiast’s garage. Now excuse my rant.
I may be biased because I own an F-Type R (2015 RWD), but for me the F-Type takes it. The C8 Vette may be a little faster by the numbers, but there just something a bit more visceral about the F-Type. It's refined and civil when you want it to be, and hell on wheels when you want that. I also find the C8 Vette to be ugly. The C7 was much more appealing to me visually. The F-Type, on the other hand, is sex on wheels. The sound of the exhaust, the smell of the leather, it's all so intoxicating.
Hey Mate looking for a 2015-2017 Ftype R for the original headlight classic look as well as that exhaust, hoping i can get one without one with the software update to reduce the pops and crackles, im just terrified about having issues with it, ive heard mixed things over the net from owners, wondering how your experience has been, im in Australia and where i am the climate is pretty dry and warmer, no snow which i think may help with reliability? Currently driving a tuned Audi a7, plan to keep that as ive had it for about 8 years and people still think its a new car due to its timeless design, wont get anything $ for it due to age and milage yet it looks and feels like a 150K car so figured may as well keep it. Was originally going to go for the RS7 as i want a V8 next but suddenly I've become obsessed with the look and sound of the Jag. Want one in black and if the wheels are not black i will get them Powder coated black, i feel the black wheels slightly prevents it looking a little aged and keeps it as if it was brand new. Not sure why people put spoiler/wings on them, think it takes away from the curves and lines of the beautiful rear... the car is that mix between elegance/class yet is a gorilla when it wants to be. I was also looking at the Mercedes C63S similar pricing with age and mileage but they just look so ordinary, Mercedes don't have that wow factor anymore when you see one on the road, the Jag however is a head turner and has that supercar vibe plus they are a rare sight which i love. Interior wise i feel it lacks the luxury and feel of the merc but ive only driven it once so i might be wrong there....anyway sorry for the rant
@@bsb6350 If you can stomach the look of the newer version of the car you might find you will benefit from the small incremental improvements. They’ve taken care of a lot of the little issues in the newer cars. They also have significantly improved handling and more power. I personally much prefer the new look. I’ve seen them both side by side. That’s when you realize how dated the original car actually looks now. I still like it, but it does look dated in comparison. My opinion. I have a 2024 R. It’s a serious piece of engineering. Be warned though, these cars do draw a lot of attention. More than I ever imagined. That I personally could do without, but it seems to come with the territory. I think the C8 Corvette is a great car performance-wise. But I just cannot get on with the looks and proportions of it. The C8 Z06/ZR1 proportions are much improved. Perhaps you should do more research on the F-Type and its extremely high rated reliability ratings.. actually it was rated as one of the most reliable sports cars ever built… not at all dismissing the corvettes reliability as there amazing. But the ftype is right up there with it.
@@PerformanceOnWheels Interesting....The 2018 Jaguar F-Type gets an abysmal predicted reliability rating of two out of five from JD Power. That's the lowest possible score.
Yes. You have to understand what JD power to doing to collect thier data. Any dealership interaction is a mark against a car. So if your check engine light comes on because of an 02 sensor, or a customer complains about a slow infotainment (both realities for an ftype) it is viewed as an unreliable car in JD powers world. I can appreciate what they are offering consumers, but I do not view those items as reliability concerns. To me a reliability concern is major repairs or broken down needing a tow.

Absurd take. I'm on my second Jag with this drive train and it's been rock solid.
@@PerformanceOnWheels And Then There Is This: The Jaguar F-TYPE depreciates quickly, especially in the first year, and is generally considered to be a less rational choice than competitors due to its high depreciation rate:
Depreciation rate
A Jaguar F-TYPE typically depreciates 54% after five years, with a resale value of around $42,588.
lol
First!!
🏆
Both great cars but the interior of the f type is way more classy and the exterior is just car porn ❤
Blah.Blah.Blah...what a load of boring rubbish 🗑...
I am sure once you are a wolf ranger, most other things in life would be quite boring.
Knew by the title he knows nothing about cars.
What they say wrong?
But you do?
Do elaborate
