i cleared this ex trial multiple times already but i have never got what's the deal is with Astral Eclipse, all i've done is follow people and hope for the best for that part. And after seeing this guide i finally understand that the pattern is just mirrored unto the field lmao, thanks a lot.
Having gotten to enrage from blind, watching this is really helping me see how to improve my flailing so I can do the fight consistently better without ??????ing thru that darn fire line.
I tried this fight 3 different times last night with 3 different parties and we all kept wiping until the time ran out. Hoping I can actually clear it tonight. This fight is insane.
wow this is actually great, a lot easier to understand than the guides by the big name xiv youtubers who just rush shit out for subs that being said the pattern for astral stars has several variations, but my group did something similar with the markers

I still have to credit youtubers like Valith and Joonbob who inspired me a lot making these ^^ As for Astral Stars yea the pattern seem random (though it's always 2 empty slots, and whichever you chose you won't have to move the opposite on the second round), but the most important part i believe was understanding how to spot a safespot!
From the multiple times I played, most of the time with the astral comets they seemed to land on the outside squares of the 3x3 grid and on the 3rd land in a pattern where the bottom outside corners were unaffected.
Went here because I really want the mount from this. Did not like the dragons from ShB except for Hades Ex. But the lynx of eternal darkness looks dope. Subbed!
For people that are having trouble with Astral Eclipse, just forget uptime and concentrate on dodging the mechanic, remember that if you face it, bottom is top and top is bottom, left and right stay the same since they flip down. Also, with ilvl 470 gear you have a lot of time to spare before enrage. You can also survive one Paradeigma so if you're not confident with snake flip, just concentrate on dodging the donut/chariot and the fire line.
@@nff_1950 Ah yeah, 570. I think it's survivable with base 560 but more squishy jobs might die during Styx with vulnerable stack if healers aren't constantly topping the hp.
This guide helped me a lot , i'm still new to the endagame and i had no idea what was going on. I've killed him 19 times yesterday and killed him twice as a solo healer, whm.

of all the guides that I saw, I think yours is the best. All the talking and explanations in the others vids aren't even half as informative as your diagrams.

I did triax ex #2 first and then this. Gotta say this one is harder because you don't know what to expect while ex #2 is a classic "dance around the mechanic" type of trial ex .

Any tips for the paradeigma mechanic? I can't think fast enough to position myself seeing as I have to take into the account the the position of so many different things all at once
My best tip is solving things in this order: Exoterikos > Find where will rotate a Bird > Avoid Fire Trench > Avoid Snakes (if you get snaked you won't die if you are full life so last prio) Remove elements of this priority list if they aren't there
Unfortunately there isn't much I can do to help. There is always one line between them and they will rotate. The good thing is even if you get caught, at least you won't die from full hp cause their damage isn't deadly!

Zodiark is look and react, if you can think fast it's pretty easy. There is no coordination with your team needed. 2nd Trial has a lot more group movements. Think that Zodiark will be easier in pug, but 2nd Trial is easier if you have your team on discord !
Never have I felt more stupid playing a video game than I do in this trial. Hydaelyn extreme was a walk in the park compared to this. This helps out so much, although I'm still smooth brain enough to get all the mechanics right. Especially the astral eclipse mechanic as well as the turning of the stage.
Those are quite thinkers mech yes, especially since both of them haven't been done until now. But I'm sure we will learn and do it perfectly after some time ^^

Never have I felt more stupid playing a video game than I do in this trial. Hydaelyn extreme was a walk in the park compared to this. This helps out so much, although I'm still smooth brain enough to get all the mechanics right. Especially the astral eclipse mechanic as well as the turning of the stage.
Those are quite thinkers mech yes, especially since both of them haven't been done until now.
But I'm sure we will learn and do it perfectly after some time ^^

It's not, I'm using a color filter with better contrast during editing but since this fight is dark to begin with it looks a bit too dark now sorry!
This trial is easy just follow and mark someone who knows where to go and gg.. nothing more
