    Hi Red, you forgot that Grant Hatred a Ravenous Form has no cap on fear, which means that it’s probably broken.

      It's been so long, I'm gonna have to rewatch the previous parts for context.

    Every time I've seen Transformative Sacrifice played it has completely warped and single-handedly won the game. That card is so bonkers, but probably not for every situation against every adversary. It makes it so easy for so many spirits to hit their higher level innates plus if there are any other majors in play it instantly thresholds them as well. The cost of the presence is so insignificant, unless you're someone like Volcano.

    Spot on as always. Can't wait for the next tier lists. Keep up the good work Red.

    Transformative Sacrifice: Should be worth mentioning that you get tons of tags that turn. Now this means 1) it can be great with Starlight and 2) if any spirit is 1-2 tags away from an important threshold, they can highroll it with this major and 3) obviously choice events are easier to pay, as 3 cards on average has a roughly 1 of each tag (and if you get a bad card that doesn't fit you, it's perfect to forget to events)

    Winds is pretty balanced. I’m guessing that the threshold is so tough because the range is so massive that you can support almost anywhere on the island. But yeah, it’s a big threshold and doesn’t fee natural. Maybe once or twice I’ve hit the threshold where I didn’t tech into it after drawing it.

    Thanks Red, been eagerly anticipating this once for ages now! Great list.
    Glad you moved Sea Monsters down, I'm not super high in it personally. I think the floor is too low; I could see it being C, but low B is ok too I guess.
    It feels like you're a bit too high on Forests honestly too. Great effect, and obviously super strong with range boost and/or (very hard to hit) threshold. But the floor of slow deal 2 to everything at range 0 of sacred site is just not that great (technically the floor is even worse, but no-one is ever playing this from an origin single presence)
    On the other hand, I think Walls is too low. Yes the targeting is restrictive, but everything else on the card is S tier. It would have strong arguments for best major in the game if it targeted any land. It's high B at a minimum for me, most probably A (though I understand your criteria qualify a certain way).
    Interesting to see Bombard here too, especially given your testing work. I think it's probably the best card on this list (with Walls restrictions considered), and it also feels like A tier to me. The floor is just incredibly high; 1 fear 2 damage and a badlands for 2 is very good. Perhaps it's one plant too high on the threshold? I'm not sure, if it was 2/2/2 on the threshold that feels like S tier to me.
    Thanks again, looking forward to the next one!

    Red in the first half of the video : "basically all these cards are perfect, I wouldn't really change them, that's why they're in B tier". Red in the second half of the video: "so here's what I would change about every single card in this tier". :P

    Last time I played Starlight, I tried a major strategy and pulled Flow Like Water, Reach like air and Falls of Rock and Thorn and then pulled Call to Trade with my minors. That was a fun combo.

    I'm noticing there are a couple things different, Transformative sacrifice says Take instead of Gain now in the module TTS I use. Which feels bad frankly. Lair used to give fear before too right? The 3:1 moon for a single gather ONLY at lair on it feels bad too as a result.
    And I'm also hearing you give examples of some people who suggests buff/nerfs with cards.
    Now I mostly play on digital for the setup/teardown convenience, so it makes me curious, are there people who run houseruled cards/spirits to test those kind of changes? Is there someplace where such things are recorded to look at for people curious to tweak a few things?

    Have I been playing insatiable hunger of the swarm wrong? I have been reading its as each beast deals 1 fear , 2 damage total (not per beast) always seemed weak but not terrible for a beast spirit or like lure looking for tokens. The blight penalty seemed excessive for such an expensive card

    • @Noxen74
      @Noxen74 3 місяці тому

      Yes you have been playing it incorrectly. Each beasts does 2 damage and generates 1 fear.

    I've always rated entwined power fairly low, because i usually draft majors late. Is it fair to say that the card is weaker when drafted late, and do you have some tips for when to draft majors?

    • @RedReVenge007
      @RedReVenge007  11 місяців тому +1

      Entwine Power is still quite powerful in the late game as it allows a team of spirits to churn through the power decks and trade power cards, so that the best cards land in the right hands.
      Drafting Majors is spirit-spirit dependent. General advice is you want 3 plays to threshold them and 3 energy a turn to sustain them.

  • @Sadinar
    @Sadinar Рік тому +3

    I'm very surprised you put entwined power in B. You spent the other videos repeatedly saying how hard it is to hit 4 element thresholds, and then you're like "this card's top part is pretty irrelevant, but if you hit the 4 element threshold its amazing".
    I mean, I don't disagree with that statement, but I don't understand why some powers show up higher rated with hard thresholds to hit but other powers with good thresholds are rated low because their threshold is hard to hit.
    Like literally later in this video you talk about how 4 earth is really hard to hit with rumbling earthquakes, but somehow the 2 water 4 grass doesn't push entwined power down? You also said that "you see that in B tier, where even you're off element you still pick it up", but then entwined power you said doesn't do much without the threshold

    • @RedReVenge007
      @RedReVenge007  Рік тому +1

      The power of Entwined Power Thresholded is one of the strongest in the entire game. Also, it's tough to convey into words, but the type of element matters. 4 Sun threshold is much easier to hit than a 4 moon threshold.

    • @Sadinar
      @Sadinar Рік тому +1

      @RedReVenge007 I think that actually could be a really interesting video in its own right. It would require looking at a breakdown of both spirits that provide innate elements and the elements available in the minor power deck to show why some element thresholds are easier to hit.
