Adding Android Auto and Apple Car play to a 2016 Jaguar F-type (part5)

This installation is based on the unit supplied by Unique Auto Developments in the UK. This is for a 2016 Jaguar with an 8" display and the In-control Touch system based on the Harman head unit. This fifth video walks through the steps of configuring the UAD unit for Android Auto.

Do you have success going wireless with Android Auto? I am able to use it IF the unit displays the phone name as you switch to Android Auto. If I miss pressing on my phone name after that display, I have trouble going wireless.

When I first installed the unit Wireless did not work. You always had to connect via usb to enable android auto. However with the latest version it does now work. I admit its not 100% all the time, but I am sure this will improve. I would suggest you check whether you have the latest version on the unit.

@@paulcalvert5425 How do I check which version I have, and if it's not the latest version, how do I get a firmware update?
