My 2024 F-Type has the illuminated tread plates already installed thankfully. They're a nice touch but after watching this video I wouldn't want to go through to have them installed myself.

Hi Paul, I've asked Powerfuluk, but only supply Range Rovers. They said the one your using is EWL201-TAP-LOOM. When I looked, there are 8 to choose from! Is there anyway I could choose one that might work on my Jaguar XJ X351 2010 model. With the group JLR I'm sure something from the RR would be OK in mine? Thanks - just in case you could help!

Vey helpful video. Like you, I purchased treadplates from E-bay. They came without the full extent of wiring cables (same as you) but also without the plastic trim plate. Can you re-use the existing plastic trim, or is the trim different for the illuminated tread plate?

It's not a hole, more a square, from memory a template comes with the comfort panel, that allows you measure out the area to be cut

5:39 if you push the plastic clips on the big handle, the handle will come off which will make it far easier to access those annoying screws. Thanks a lot, would have found this way more difficult without this video!

Hi Paul, thanks so much for posting the video, I have just imported two new mirrors with blind spot and I do have to change the wiring loom. The black plug has the loop wires. Would there be any chance you could let me know the codes on the loom you didn’t use as I have the blue plug for the camera? Also is the housing already on the back of the bumper for the blind spot sensors? Thank you regards Graeme

Hello, what model CTEC are you using? There are different models online to choose from but I can’t find one with the adapter you installed on the side panel.

Will this also fit into F56/F57 ? I found on BMW site that this part only fits into Clubman and countryman.

I got everything ripped out farily easily, but reinstalling everything is a bit of a challenge. Any tips/tricks on reinstalling the bulkhead (the big piece with 6 clips)? Having trouble pushing/pulling the peice into place, even with the fasteners lined up.

It would help if you remove the blue translucent film from the lights so we can see them. 😣😣😣

Hi Paul I know you've now got the F Pace, but if you decide to install the Audison into your new car, no need to cut those frequencies as shown in your video at 10:38, as your mids are crossed over at 500/3000 anyway therefore they won't play those frequencies. Also 24 slopes most of the time sound a lot better than 12's. Also get a UMik to tune it properly using REW you will be REALLY surprised how great this DSP Amp can sound 🔊👍

Great video I don't think people realize how easy most of it is. My dad had a 2017 f-Pace and he now has a 2021 F-Pace and both of them had the wire harness in the rear and under the front door sils for the lighted tread plates as well. I got a 23' F-Pace S went to install, which would now be my third time installing this item on an F-Pace and the rear wiring harness is nowhere to be found, just doesn't exist back there. I still have the front ones for the door sils but nothing in the rear . Went to the dealership and they said I just don't have it, but they couldn't tell me what model it was put in or what option i needed to buy to have it. I just think they didn't have an answer as to why it was not there... maybe I miss heard you, but did you say that the post 21' item was more expensive than the pre- 21' MY? because in the US the 2017 sill cost over $500US and the 2021 sill direct order from the dealership only cost $179 US. Just heat the sill plates up before pulling them off. They come off easy and makes them reusable.

I just spent 20 hours cleaning with Super Clean, washing with a strip wash, iron removing and DI water rinsing then clay barring, cutting and polishing a new Honda Black HRV which was "detailed" by the dealer. They had put swirl marks and scratches and hard water spots on every panel. Now I can find one scratch. Tomorrow is Adam's Advanced Graphene ceramic coating day. I am concerned that in Florida even inside the garage I have small bits of oak pollen and tiny bugs that can land on the surface after I do the IPA or Panel Wipe and will that not get locked in the ceramic coat. I am thinking of running down a HEPA filter for a 4 hour period in the garage before the panel wipe and coating application

Sorry but you don’t need screw driver just hold the case with one hand turn the black rim until it lines up with the slots at the back and lift off no damage to the lugs from screw driver same applies to all the clocks Speedo and rev counter to refit is reverse of procedure

Thank you for posting this! I only needed to get the panel loose so I could eliminate a pigtail rattle inside the door. I was prepared with replacement panel clips, but only had to reseat two of them back in the panel.

Do you know which components I would require, cables etc? I know very little about electrics? If you know anyone that can make them and also be really helpful? or a part number of the cables

For those struggling to remove the pin & you will struggle, use a hairdryer to warm the pin & handle then use needle nose pliers and the pin is easily removed. Use a hairdryer to reassemble.
