I am no expert but I've heard you get items which help your team play more actively. Like in the pro match where a kotl got a triple kill in pregame he got like a 2 minute medallion of courage to win his lane and rotate
I can try! It's tough because every hero might do something different, and it might be unique to each game as well. I'm working on a video about things that are impactful though. If I got rich as a support, I'd be looking to do things on that list. Keep an eye out for that video in another week or two!
I think a good general rule is: if you are ahead, buy defensive items, if you are behind, buy offensive items. For some reason I remember two good games of mine: once i got a really early glimmer and ghost scepter as WD, felt really good to run around the map and escaping from core heroes and saving allies multiple times, after getting a kill. the other time I rushed an aeon disk as dazzle after a very good lane. since he has it off CD for basically every fight, I pushed dangerous lanes, always got my spells off in fights, and the opponent couldn't really focus me, because that early they had no offensive dispells.
That's a very reasonable way to look at it. Problem is, if a shaman were to just drop the wards on whatever they see, they either die and feed the wards, or the team can't push that well especially if the cores go farm jungle/other lanes or just do no tower damage.
I would use Mass Serpent Wards for pushing. Using them for getting a kill is not worth it, for kills just use Shackles and Ether Shock, and Hex if enemy hero tries something unforeseen.
Is there a way to select all your serpent wards so you can choose what they attack? Like setting up a hotkey After you select what they attack can anything draw aggro from them or do they just stay attacking what you selected if it stays in range?
Yeah, so just set a hotkey as a control group (for example "4"). Summon your wards, select them all, then press "CTRL+4" to make that hotkey your serpent wards If you set them to attack something, they will keep attacking until they can't attack anymore (it dies, out of range, etc) then they will target something else
This is good stuff. The charts are really great!! Thank you.
Muy bien explicado! Mi héroe favorito y uno de los Support más versátiles, además.
Thanks for the math. Super useful. You are the best Z.
Thanks for the useful advice :) Can you do a video on what to do as a support when you have lots of gold and level advantage?

@@ZQuixotix look forward to it if you decide to. Understandable if it's too hard
@@SuperKurvaszad feels backwards to me, but hey I’m a noob.
fed ursa? buy aghs so you can get 1 shot before ever getting value from the aghs 8)

True, you do need to be a little selective of when you actually ult vs just pushing up to the tower
