The HDD inside is also rotated 90 degrees and has vastly different connectors. likewise, the RAM is in a completely different location. I have read online that some Spin 3 laptops can accept M.2 SSDs - but I cannot fid which models accept them. Do you know if mine can? And if not, what is the best SSD I could upgrade to (currently have a 1TB HDD and would not like to downgrade the amount of storage - just upgrade the speed)...

you cant. this laptop can only be upgraded to 8 or 12 or 20 max because you already have 4gb built in. So with 1 slot given you can install an 8gb to be 12 or 16 to be 20. Also chose one with the same bus speed.
@@andresrueda88 so if you have multiple ram sticks, the faster one will default to the speed of the slowest stick. So that means if you bought a 2666 stick it would run at 2400

This is DDR4 and this notebook also have DDR4 slot this should fit but about compatibility not sure. If you have same notebook first find your memory part number and try find same ddr4 module. U can use aida64 or cpu-z software

sorry i have no experience for this model. I can recomend samsung ssd. this one is best for now. cheaper and also great ssd is crucial.
