I'm just going to point out that manga _are_ comics under a different name. Just like anime is the Japanese equivelant to cartoons.
J Sabere no both are graphic novels or graphic reading material under different names .It's kind of like drinks being able to be water juice etc(soft drinks hard drinks). Both manga and comics have distinct features that make them different but relatively the same .
I don't know about that, all of them can be listed as graphic novels but both western comics and eastern mangas are, essentially, the same. I know the origins of the term anime come from animation, or at least that's what I've heard. It seems like anime/manga and comic/cartoon are named seperately because they were created (and raised?) in a different culture. Both the mediums are basically the same.
The best example I can think of to illustrate my point is _Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt._ Most of the time, it really looks nothing like the vast majority of anime or manga. This makes me question if it's actually the production team/studio behind the work since, like Western animations/cartoons, the art style can vary wildly and still be considered apart of the category. Then what about the series _Kill La Kill_ which comes from a group in France? It is still largely considered an anime despite the studio behind it being French.
What is the defining factor(s) that make it show we can, without a doubt, sort anime from cartoons - manga from comics? How they are delivered is very much the same with the only _significant_ change being general art style with language and origin taking backseats to this.
For example, is Teen Titans considered an anime or a cartoon? Some people say a cartoon while others say anime.
What am I missing that cements that comics/manga and cartoons/anime are not the same medium seperated by the culture the come from? Farming is still farming, T.V. is still T.V. and books/stories are still the same. Why is it this specific one that we draw the line in?

I'm happy with the new Broly, I'm just saying. The old Broly movies are now all completely non Canon and pretty much always have been. It's good though. His character didn't make sense before anyways, he was just really cool and badass. But he didn't make much sense story wise.

I actually have heard people say stuff like "why doesn't Gohan go super saiyan" when he's in his ultimate form, but I think those are people that just watch the show casually and don't pay attention.
Even as a kid and a casual watcher I knew that Ultimate Gohan was stronger than his Super Saiyan form. Granted I also wasn’t sure just how strong Ultimate Gohan was but in my mind I believed he was at least as strong as Super Saiyan 2 or greater.
I also don’t understand anything about how Gohan becoming Ultimate Gohan works. I originally thought he had lost his Super Saiyan forms in exchange of making his base form far superior than any of his previous transformations could grant him. However, in DBS when Gohan was training and became Ultimate Gohan (I knew he was Ultimate Gohan because of his look resembling how he previously looked during the Buu Saga) and I was left thinking is this a transformation? Or not?

RE: "Over eight thousand" and mouth flaps: the only thing I can think of that's (poorly attempting to be) argued in that bullet point is that the shape of the syllable "ver" can flow directly into "eight" in one constant opening motion, whereas "ver" into "nine" requires a soft reclosing of the mouth to get the "n" sound. If the translators and directors felt like they had to fill in an extra mouthflap, they would have the option. An unnecessary change, obviously, since "eight" can be its own mouthflap with zero problems, but at least that's within possibility.
Unlike, say, the inverse where the animation was one mouthflap too short and they decided to edit the number to meld "-ver eight" into one mouthflap, then it would be sensible. But, that example would require changing from "nine" to "eight," which is exactly the opposite of what happened.
It's a farfetched explanation and still pretty dumb so I have little interest in studying the scene precisely enough to find out how accurate it could potentially be, but it's at least not an *entirely* dumb explanation.

About that, do you guys think Gohan was a Ssj or a Ssj2 against Dabura? I think Gohan was just a normal Ssj due to the fact that he was drawn with a normal Ssj aura, while Goku and Vegeta, as Ssj2, were drawn with a much more aggressive aura, surrounded by sparks; and in the manga, Toriyama never forgets to draw the sparks around the Ssj2/Ssj3 aura. You may think he couldn't be a Ssj cause Dabura was stated to be Cell's level. But let's say he was Perfect Cell level, right? While fighting Gohan, he wasn't fighting seriously and still managed to have the upper hand. In fact after their fight, Dabura stated that he could've defeated Gohan easily in another round! So yeah, I still think he was a normal Ssj! The Dainzeshuu(supervisionized by Toriyama) may state that he was a Ssj2, but the manga is the original/canon source, at least to me!

Bardock was added into the Manga after the TV Special if i remember correctly, you can correct me if i'm wrong, but the events of the TV Special never actually happen other than Frieza blowing up Planet Vegeta.
I liked this video. My very simple reason (other than being a longtime fan); you said my main point to everyone who starts flipping over bad writing, plot holes, etc, which is “It’s a show written for Japanese children.” To every ‘adult’ who complains over things like Kale’s quick learning SS or whatever, take it easy or if it really makes you that angry, try and write a children’s show that has no continuity issue (good luck!).

A much better misconception is Tien’s name. His name is Tenshinhan, with only Chiaotzu calling him Ten-san. I don’t know why they changed it, but my guess is they changed it to make it easier for kids to say his name, but that’s just my interpretation. Can anyone confirm this?
mega sean well when dragonball came to the west they shortened a lot. Saiya-Jin was shortened to Saiyan, Kaio was whitened to Kai, kaioshin was just called Supreme Kai, kai, or shin.
I feel like Tien's (and everyone else's) name in the original Viz manga translation were mostly direct translations from Japanese, hence Tenshinhan instead of Tien Shinhan, Kuririn instead of Krillin, Kame-Senin or Muten-Roshi instead of Master Roshi, etc. and they were changed for the Western audience. This was also probably the case for techniques like Solar Flare, Evil Containment Wave, and Tri-Beam being Taiyo-ken, Mafuba, and Kikohou in the Viz manga.

As fun/entertaining it is to debunk greatly incorrect statements or articles I feel a large portion of your points eventually lead to "That's not true and pretty obvious cause I explained it in this video", which is... Kinda stupid because if there was necessity for your video to explain it then it probably wasn't obvious. Maybe instead of that say that its not true, thenexplain it in a summed up way that leaves out certain information and say "I go through it in a bit more detail in this video". It still plugs your other videos but makes it more than just "that was so obvious cause I explained it and everyone watches me". thank you! he sounded like everyone watches his videos. "if you watch my videos you wuld know that" and then accuses them of likely watching other peoples videos and repeating what they heard which is why they are wrong. like.... to an outsider, his video on a topic or their video on a topic could both be wrong. someone who made their video believes they are right and no-one would have reason to doubt it, same with this video.
its a total oversight of how people find information when they have no reason to believe they are being given the wrong info. dont get mad at the article, get mad at whoever made a youtube video telling the author the wrong info. a youtuber like himself who believes they know facts too.
and i doubt he realises how small his channel is compared to the world of DBZ fans. yes hes done a video on a topic to dispute it, but the same people who follow him will be the ones who watch it, less likely new or casual fans.
idk hes come off as sounding really elitist as if he can never be wrong about a topic and then nitpicks the reason just to find a scenario where the statement is considered wrong. or rewords the article itself to then make it wrong and debunk it.

However, if you actually watched and took time to completely access his personality then anyone could see that Geekdom is trying to give factual information. And if factual information comes off as “elitist” then frankly put, research yourself.
3. Please don’t take offense to this comment. I wanted to just express to you that you should access a person methodically and take time to understand why they say the things they do.
1) youtube algorithms and recommended videos based on something i watched.
2) hes actively reading an article and responding to the points in the article, thus at the author of such article, not to his audience as they did not write it and as he put, would not have "incorrect" info because he would have taught them otherwise in his past videos. the very fact hes correcting the article is enough to say hes not talking to his fans, but to the guy who wrote it @@nillavanilla5193
there are a myriad of ways to put forth information without putting someone down, or talking down to them as if they intentionally had the correct info to begin with , some of the points in the article may even have been a matter of opinion. theres no need for geekdom to act like he himself has been personally attacked by the article and get passive agressive about it.

The way i always understood the whole Saiyans breath in space thing was, No they cant breath in space but can survive low earth orbit. Every time i recall them being in space with no space suits they were Just above a planet. Like with the Bardock special, Friezas ship was parked just above the planet.

I have an old magazine from 2000 (October) that is supposed to be an "A to Z, everything you need to know about Dragon Ball" presented by Ghostmasters. This magazine is so horrible with so much misinformation, to the point that it's just hilarious. I'm glad I still held on to this magazine after all these years. What's funny is when I was a kid and didn't know any different, I fell for it and lived by this guide.
