- These guys flew in from different parts of the country after not having seen each other for months, had a huddle backstage, and went out and played a tight, funky set. Total pros. Chris Stillwell-bass, Will Bernard-gtr, Adam Levy-keys, Chuck Prada-percussion, Cochemea "Cheme" Gaetulum-woodwinds. McClaren Park, S.F., 10/15/05.
The single stroke is amazing
Thats what she said
High tempo jam…can’t help but groove to this
Adam is tighter than 2 Coats of paint!
вкуснейший!
I'd like to fine out which Adam Levy is playing the Rhodes solo. The only one I'm finding is the Session Guitarist who played with Norah Jones?? Wikipedia neglects to mention his complete mastery of the keyboard if it is.
I can't see the keyboard player...but the tune is a tune by Garaj Mahal and an Eric Levy is playing there and he was living in Petaluma...so I would think it's not Adam but Eric. Stylistically it would fit as well btw the Garaj was an awesome band with Kai Eckhardt on bass who played with John MacLaughlin, Fareed Haque on git who played with Sting
A tune like this, if I wanna hear this done right I'll just put on a Headhunters CD
How is the Tune Called ?
what is this song
It’s called Jan-Jan
thank you!!!
This is the fourth or fifth clip I've watched of Adam playing live and none of them show me the beast I hear in clinics. So busy, so not settling into grooves, so playing every little thing that comes into his head at the expense of the groove. I'd love to hear a well-recorded clip of him playing with other players and really listening to them and grooving. Does anyone else hear what I'm talking about? Hey look, he's a beast of technique, no doubt, but I wanna hear maturity of the groove. These don't breathe
+Peter Putnam I feel you. I have had the same thought when seeing him at live shows.

He played with AWB and John Scofield before he was 30. There are many types of "grooves", some busier in vibe, some not. There are many examples of Adam playing all types on YT, do some research. Also, keep context in mind. This video is of a group thrown together, playing more open/muso type jams. EVERYONE here is playing more notes then normal.
