I honestly think that King of Asgard is right in front when it comes to modern day Viking Metal. The right vocals, good quality melodies (but not so melodic to lose the aggressive nature) and of course the powerful feeling you get listening to them. Hail the King!
+Rum Runner There is a seriously raw attitude and feeling towards it and at the same time it is extremely well mixed mastered and recorded. Not something you find in metal very much any more unfortunately. I remember the first time I heard this song (slightly after its release) my friend was listening to it and the intro riff got absolutely plastered in my head. I was trying to recreate it on the guitar and couldnt get it down (I still sucked a lot back then) and i managed to hum it to my mate and he told me the name....and then I found 5 dollars.... anyway, point being, fantastic band. I hope they stay on this path. \m/ To Valhalla friends.
I'm a huge fan of Amon Amarth, and I don't think these guys sound anything like them! Very nice music tho! Actually never heard of these guys before :D
Silence, hark and behold Shattered fields, substantial darkness... and a swallowed sun A sudden void, a sacred ground... where Death has sung Einhärjar - Die before us one and all Einhärjar - Chosen to die by the glimpse of an age Einhärjar - Die before us one and all Einhärjar - Reunite, we all shall fall Härjafader, a woven fate in the hall of the slain Härjafader, and a shadow of a thousand... ...when the Wolf comes! A glance cold, dreaful to witness... and to hold Since dawn of time, awaiting... yearning unfold Einhärjar - Die before us one and all Einhärjar - Chosen to die by the glimpse of an age Einhärjar - Die before us one and all Einhärjar - Reunite, we all shall fall
in ten years of listening to this band, i revisit their most famous song on youtube and it only as 300k veiws, and people are comparing them to amon amarth... i find this sad. i think yall should share this up. this is three guys with intruments (maybe two, didnt see the drummer anywhere >.>) and they made some sick music.
amon amarth is the most well known "viking" style metal band so yes it's going to receive comparisons. just as people compare x y z pop singer with michael jackson or country singers with johnny cash or billy ray cyrus.
Awesome song, really!! I like the singer screaming "EINHARJAAAAAAAR" And I also like the nordic mythology behind it! Great song, really great! ROCK ON!
Bueno es un gran honor escuchar a esta banda, el vocalista tiene una fuerza arrolladora en su voz y King of Asgard es una apuesta a ganador si le das una oportunidad de escucharlo.
For those comparing KoA with Amon Amarth, Tyr and such - mind you, that’s actually the forefathers, came from the one and the only Mithotyn, one of the founders of genre.
I can´t understand how all people here say "That sounds like Amon Amarth" They use the same topics in the lyrics, and both is Melodic Death Metal but that´s it..
youre right although i kinda like it it sounds nothing like amon amarth id prefer amon amarth but then again i prefer amon amarth over most things especially the vocals im sorry but this man may be enjoyable he doesnt hold a candle to johan hegg (in my opnion ofcourse)
What i like most about their style is its very good marching/rowing music if you were a real viking traveling into battle. its got that good 4/4 beat to it
The black metal blast beats are quite welcome here, I haven't heard these integrated into viking metal in a non-annoying way in a while so good on ya. To everyone bitching about them ripping off Amon Amarth, stylistically and structurally they sound more like Tyr to me but with growls instead of clean vocals. Who knows?
@@erwinrommel9294 Sadly, while I am stable, I have two tubes under my skin going around the back of my head which should not be removed. Sigh... I still headbang though
in my opinion viking metal is a nickname for melodeath and/or black metal which has viking themed lyrics. and thats just my opinion, im no expert in these things
It's just another label. Its says nothing about the musical content, therefore it cannot be a genre. There are no similarities between say, Amon Amarth and Månegarm but they both have nordic mythology as a lyrical theme.
BowlingGrisen Don't be a twat, it's people like you who limit where music can go. you think the genre Death metal was around 50 years ago? you should be encouraging Viking Metal, a mix between folk/melodic death. It's like you have something to lose if Viking Metal was considered a genre, grow up.
People mistake the tremolo picking for a "Amon Amarth" trademark, when in reality Amon, just like this band, has that from Black and Death Metal. It's nothing original really, but the fanboys will tell you it is, which is reflected in the comments.

+Rum Runner Amon Amarth!
+Rum Runner i dont think this band is much folk. so i dont think they sing songs of vikings
+Jarl Oden Amon Amarth is neither folk nor black metal, they're not viking metal in any way.
Amon amarth is My favorite viking metal band ever. King is a close second but amon amarth will always be top in my book. \m/
One of the best song I've ever heard in my life !
Einharjaaaar! Awesome song!
Hail Valhalla !
+Tadeusz Norek I think nowadays it translates to "allah ackbar"..:D
If You get the oppertunity, then go see them live...
You WILL NOT regret it, I promise 🤘🤘🤘🤜🤜🤜
Einhärjer!!!!!
Swedes are Kings of Metal! Poland greets!
I'm a huge fan of Amon Amarth, and I don't think these guys sound anything like them! Very nice music tho! Actually never heard of these guys before :D
There's no point in comparing a viking metal band like this and a melodic death metal band like Amon Amarth anyway.
They are a bit underrated. I found my way to them via Amon Amarth but they're really only similar in theme.
Yeah, they're similar but because of their genre, however, they don't sound the same as A.A.
Mithotyn man!!!!!...
Mithotyn, Dawn, Thy Primordial members. All good bands i grew up listening to.
Silence, hark and behold
Shattered fields, substantial darkness... and a swallowed sun
A sudden void, a sacred ground... where Death has sung
Einhärjar - Die before us one and all
Einhärjar - Chosen to die by the glimpse of an age
Einhärjar - Die before us one and all

Einhärjar - Die before us one and all

Phenomenous🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

This is propably the best song in this universe.
Want to see these guys live
That Drum sounds like a Friggin' Chopper!!!!
Bloody awensome!!!!!!!!

Awesome song, really!!
I like the singer screaming "EINHARJAAAAAAAR"
And I also like the nordic mythology behind it!
Great song, really great!
ROCK ON!

1:50 love that riff! nice band
the guitar sound is awesome, the whole package is like a viking metal band with big black metal influences, i love it!
Absolutely fantastic song!
Bought their album after watching this video a few times.
It's great! :)
For those comparing KoA with Amon Amarth, Tyr and such - mind you, that’s actually the forefathers, came from the one and the only Mithotyn, one of the founders of genre.
Falconer and King of Asgard are formed by ex members of Mithotyn
I love this song,it's so powerful!
World needs more Viking Metal bands. And anyone who sounds similar to the amazing Amon Amarth is okay in my books!
amazing! epic find, song finished head still banging
My favorite song from this band
I love the guitar work! Good job.
Einharjaaaaaaaaaaarrr!
holy shit he puts alot of power behind those screams!!
THIS IS VERY AMAZING AND UNBELIEVABLE VIKING METAL BAND AWESOME .
I can´t understand how all people here say "That sounds like Amon Amarth"
They use the same topics in the lyrics, and both is Melodic Death Metal but that´s it..
I don't hear it either.
youre right although i kinda like it it sounds nothing like amon amarth id prefer amon amarth but then again i prefer amon amarth over most things especially the vocals im sorry but this man may be enjoyable he doesnt hold a candle to johan hegg (in my opnion ofcourse)
a bit like the old amon amarth cds but just a little
Theres nothing from Amon Amarth in this Song/Band... Amon Amarth is (in my opinion) better, but this is awesome too. Just another kind of awesome! :D
indeed don't understand what the fuzz is all about ...
Saying KOfA sound lik AmAm is as much bullshit as saying Machine Head sounds like Pantera.
This is so awesome! \m/. Hail Odin!
I love this song
Such a good song
pretty sick!!! i wanna hear more of them.
Man, this song is so kick-ass but also so new that there aren't even any lyrics in the net yet, let alone any tabs!
Muy lindo
What i like most about their style is its very good marching/rowing music if you were a real viking traveling into battle. its got that good 4/4 beat to it
My 2 year old son was just stomping to the beat!
The free spirit of Bathory and proudly burns and guides us sword in hand to Valhalla
I THINK ODIN MIGHT SAY,ONE OF THE BEST VIKING METAL SONGS OF ALL.KICK ASS BOYS.
never heard of this band, glad i ran across it fucking awesome.
Its so freaky! The singer looks so epic between 0:46 - 0:50!
They're too great. :D
My beard is growing bigger listening to this song. 🔥😎🤘🏻
Really nice song :)
Cheers from Sweden
One word - Epic.
I play this guitar only in galaxy white , great instrument - your guitar sound reminds me of inflames early albums
Who knows?
Amen
simply amazing :DD
This is just AWESOME!!
2022 and still KICK ASSSS!!!
I love living a couple hundred metres away from the vocalist.
Brilliant 🤘
@ACDCrocker1973 Because they're awesome, just like Amon Amarth. haha I just bought their CD, I can't wait.

Brilliant.
THE BEGINNING SPOOKED ME SO BAD OH MY
Great!
Epic, nothing more to say about
Awesome band
His screams are so powerfull i fucking love it
No. It is rugged, dirty, rough, POWERFUL and even has beard.
It does not lack anything.
I could have sworn I didn't have a beard before I clicked onto this
😂😂😂😂😂
I love this song, it's where my last name came from 🖤
This is awesome to play on bass :D
nice song
A Nordic blend of Suidakra and Amon Amarth? Badass, thy name is King of Asgard. \m/
They can say what ever they want... For me AA is Viking Metal \m/
That's the topic of their lyrics but not a genre. Viking Metal could be influenced by Black Metal, Death Metal, Folk Metal or so.
I get so tempted to headbang but since I have had brain surgery, it is risky to do so.
I might as well do it.
Do it... Valhalla awaits Einherjar
dude, you forget. if he doesn't die in battle he won't go to valhalla
Headbutt everyone in the pit while you headbang... For Odin
Hopefully you have recovered and can now head bang till you heart's content
@@erwinrommel9294 Sadly, while I am stable, I have two tubes under my skin going around the back of my head which should not be removed. Sigh... I still headbang though
Epic band! Will buy their album :D
Wow, these guys are fucking awesome!
That is one catchy opening riff! \m/
Hecate cometh with the four flames and winds as one
Pretty cool
masterpiece
These guys are awesome. Where're they from?
"To my side my noble Einharjar"
@E.T Mutant Divine assault!
James Halford, check out Inis Mona by Elevetie, its a bad ass band and that's a badass song. "inis Mona"
Se siente la esencia de mithotyn!!! Skål
Hey, this was uploaded on my 15th birthday :D
Refreshing to see dudes over 30 getting out there kicking ASS!
That's absolutely viking metal new generation with death metal influences. Not only 1% equal AA...
❤❤❤
This is the best nordic shit I have heard since I discovered Amon Amarth.
Awesome! .. Epic Win! FTW!
@theCelticViking6 actually, there is a genre called viking metal, its a subgenre of black metal
And Amon Amarth is considered viking metal aswell, but they play melodic death.
in my opinion viking metal is a nickname for melodeath and/or black metal which has viking themed lyrics. and thats just my opinion, im no expert in these things
It's just another label. Its says nothing about the musical content, therefore it cannot be a genre. There are no similarities between say, Amon Amarth and Månegarm but they both have nordic mythology as a lyrical theme.
GasThyJuice Exactly, theres no Viking Metal, theres Melodic death and black metal with viking themes
Einhärjer!!!!
That look at 00:17 is beyond epic...
temazo

@HardySlash1 king of asgard has two members of the old mithotyn
this sounds fucking brilliant when blasting at full throttle outta your sound system
Einhärjer!!!! 🤘😡🤘
@ZetaN7 No they dont because their music are death metal with viking lyrics.
Cheers
Reminds me of satyricon mixed with some other band which I can't put my finger on the other one haha good song though
storm?)
Nothing like Amon. Only thing similar is lyric theme. Learn music people.
360DeathBlazE306 The master has spoken.
People mistake the tremolo picking for a "Amon Amarth" trademark, when in reality Amon, just like this band, has that from Black and Death Metal.
It's nothing original really, but the fanboys will tell you it is, which is reflected in the comments.
Mithotyn's back!
