    RIP Yuzu!

  • @therealjaystone2344

The saddest day ever for emulators

  • @wackywoohoopizzaman1290

There goes to Nintendo always Ruining good things for everybody

  • @royalcities

This actually makes me think the switch 2s architecture is very similiar to switch 1. They probably knew their team could spin uo a switch 2 emulator the moment the hardware is out and are trying to get ahead of their lack of innovation.

  • @Greg-gr5bb

When he starts responding to people not there,it's cringe. "Yeah I'll do 2 videos..." Dude no one said anything. Who are you responding to? Dudes loosing his mind, he can't stand reality.

  • @SkywalkerOne1977

This won't stifle the emulator community, it'll spread fuel to the fire and likely many more will try to develop emulators as a big middle finger to Nintendo.

  • @DwightKSchrute3

Not RIP, the emulator is Open source. Most likely someone will continue the emulator under a different name. Also, since they settled out of court, this does not set a precedent. So software emulation is still legal.)

  • @williamtodoruk9595

Anyone who thought Yuzu was going to win was crazy

  • @greywolf7583

Emulation isn't a bad thing for the preparation to preserve OLDER CONSOLE Except!! when you make a console that are still relevant in retail.

  • @skmassive2714

The switch is a active system, Nintendo shutting down a key for stealing their stuff makes sense to me!

  • @petwisk2012

The code is open source, is on the internet and can't be completly erradicated, like the Hydra, you can't kill it it will just change and get stronger

  • @franzgucktyoutube

Rumours say the yuzu team offered paid patches for totk pre release to make it work in the emulator. Nintendo seemingly had proof that is what broke yuzus neck.

This should not be a surprise. Yuzu was an emulator based on current production hardware. That has never been done before. Also the circumventing with the Lockpick doomed any hopes they had. All other emulators are safe and legal. This is strictly Yuzu and nothing else.

  • @army103

At first, I thought Nintendo wouldn't be able to make a case stick, but from the sound of things the Yuzu folks got too cocky and flew WAY too close to the sun. If the rumors are true, between the truckloads of money they were bringing in and a few Yuzu posts that literally promoted using their software for piracy, there were just too many factors against them to play the "emulators aren't necessarily just for pirated games" card.

  • @raptros

Holy sh*t even Stevie Wonder didn't see that one coming

  • @Low_Standards_Gaming_YT

Timing makes sense. They want to stop Switch 2 emulation before it starts.

  • @jack7250

The paywall is what did them in

  • @CCKaraoke

I'm less likely to buy Nintendo products in future as a result of this. In any case, this won't change much. Some group of 'unrelated' people will create a new branch of Yuzu with a new name that'll be open source. Same with Citra. Ryujinx will continue. Also a bunch of people will now get into Emulation who weren't into it before.

  • @ednutz9820

Well now its up to Ryujinx to keep supporting the emulation community. Long live yuzu

  • @robert_roland63

I was thinking this would have been resolved in a similar situation like the Bleem! emulator, but somehow I knew this lawsuit was going to end the Yuzu emulator like Bleem! faced after multiple lawsuits.
