** NOTE ** I subsequently found a really good place to put the tracker - am testing it out right now. It manages to be reasonably accessible to remove if required, but also not somewhere a toe-rag might immediately find ( I hope)...
Yes I can only imagine how bad it was with the original one - I bet many are just put under the seat as that is the easiest option. I discovered possibly the perfect location for the V85 after some trial and error. Good luck with your triumph!
Hi! Thanks for this video. I'm wondering how much of history location this device allows you to keep? Ive got an airtag on my bike that was stolen and the only location I've got was the last location before they destroyed my airtag. Are you able to see the previous locations or only the last location? How long does it remains on history? Thanks mate!
Hi, in normal use it doesn't store location, I just get a daily message telling me it is still working ok. It is only when in alarm mode that it starts sending location (or attempting to). Looking at the app, I can still see the entries (and locations) from 11 months ago when I was testing it out. Probably best to speak to monimoto directly with any technical questions. Cheers.
Hi MultiVogon. I have a question unrelated to this video. I`ve had my TT Travel about 2 months now and spent hours searching for a suitable tank bag. After 6 ish months ,how do you find the SW Motech, and far more importantly, where did you get it from. I can find the bag anywhere but can only find the fitting kit in Germany. Please help.
Hi, the bag is great - I'm glad I decided to go for the 'pro' system with the magnetic lock - it's so convenient & quick to fit/remove the bag. Just dug out the paperwork and I think I just got them via the sw-motech.co.uk website. The paperwork says 'Motohaus Powersports Ltd' - so you could start with them perhaps if nowhere has stock? Also, I've bought bits from Germany without too much issue in the last year - not sure whether that will have changed since Jan 1st though...?
@@MultiVogon Thanks for the reply. I too have bought things from Europe in the last few months and haven't had any problems except for having to pay £80 import duty on a Garmin GPS (the Mia is crap). I even managed to track down a matching toolbox in Italy after my dealer said they weren't available. A nice finishing touch. Thanks for the heads up on the hinge pins, I've dealt with mine and they'll never come out. I put a 0.3 mm hole through the plastic and pin and fitted a hardened steel dowel straight through both then riveted the ends.problem solved. Cheers. Keep the videos coming.

Don't know really - my limited understanding of them is that they work off nearby iPhones or something? I think more and more of that sort of thing is going to become available, so we'll easily be able to track anything before too long (in fact I was listening to a podcast that was talking about this just this week). I like the monimoto because it will call me very quickly as soon as someone starts moving the bike. (assuming mobile signal of course). Can the tags do something similar?(if so, could be worth looking into!).
Yeah it will depend on many things as it relies on the mobile networks. Anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute seems to be about right if signals are good etc. For ultimate security a monitored tracker with RF tracking as well as GPS would be the best - but this is an affordable alternative I reckon.
Yeah that's the problem - finding somewhere. Looking at the Forza, there appears to be a lot of bodywork. Hopefully there would be some space tucked away behind that somewhere? Depends how easy it is to remove though. I think if I still had my old V7, there would be literally nowhere to hide it! Good luck.
@@MultiVogon thanks for the reply. Removing the bodywork is a workout by itself :) I’ll give it another go this weekend. So far I’ve found a bit of a gap in the rear lighting.
@@kimjongwin No worries - just remember to test it if you can, before putting everything back. My first location I thought was excellent, but the signal was blocked and unreliable. Therefore I had to choose somewhere else. Hope you managed to get it sorted.

Thanks for the smile and laugh when opening the box
Ha ha glad someone appreciated it. ;-)
Just the tip...
It’s a bit of a nightmare trying to find a place to put it on my Triumph.

Can you drag it out any longer. Why not take two hours to open the box?
I mean.... I could call it an ASMR vid, open the box slowly over a coupe of hours, and get many more views... hmm... ;-)

Could you not achive the same with an apple air tag ? ... =) , Minus the fancy notification I guess ...

Good video that’s what I want it to see ..so if you do try to move it takes about 50+ seconds for a call nice ..think i might go with this tracker

I fitted the usual normal tracking device and added also an APPLE AIRTAG
Sounds like a useful addition. I don't have an apple phone so that's not an option for me.
Absolute pain to find space to fit it on my forza 350
