Best flathead fishing videos without doubt, and I think most of you viewers will agree. But really you have one of the best fishing channels in general
The first one was a good fish, but that second? That second was huge! The best part? She put a smile on your face! A smile that only a dandy flathead can do for you. Oh, it’s more special being from bank! Amazing adventure, Spencer!!!
This man Spencer is the reason I began flathead fishing in the first place, the bank fishing and the kayak fishing for these fish never gets old watching.
Again Spencer, another great video! It's awesome how massive flatheads can live in a small creek. Keep up the great work. I've told several friends about your videos. Thanks again Spencer!
Nice flathead Spencer! Fishing at night on a slick bank is challenging enough. To catch a dandy like that and film it is quite a feat. Thanks for what you do!
I have never been one to target catfish but after finding your podcast, you tube channel and catching a few this week I've come to appreciate them. They're usually a bi catch when I'm fishing for salmon and steelhead.
Great fish buddy!!!! GLAD to see that fighting through all the bugs and poison ivy paid off for ya!!!! BEST OF LUCK on the next one, and GOD BLESS ALL!!!!👍😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.. River certified is one of the dopest channels on UA-cam. Spencer you sir are a master at what you do. I sincerely appreciate your content and may your 4th of July be a safe and happy day for you and your family. Keep up the great work your definitely in my top 3 channels that follow.
Amazing video Spencer!! I absolutely love watching you fish these creeks for Flatheads and wow, did you ever catch a couple dandies in this video!! Congratulations on your catches and thank you for sharing.
Spencer the cat catching machine. Great videos man. Dang nice flatheads. Thank you for all your work to help people learn about how to land catfish. I have learned a ton from your videos.
If I like the video, are you kidding me?? Those were really nice Flatheads. I throughly enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and God bless you and yours. 😊😊😊😊
Awesome video!!! That "ditch" you are fishing is exactly like the river I fish. A small stream that most people avoid. it holds a decent population of huge fish without a lot of pressure or competition.
Dude you never cease to amaze me! The stuff that you go through and the terrain that you endure just to chase a fish! 🎣 That’s a true fisherman! I applaud you! Absolutely love your videos! I’m on UA-cam daily just to see if ole Spencer has posted a new one! lol Always excited to watch! Thank you for everything you do to make these videos man. Respect!!
I’m amazed at the quality of ugly ones you caught in that smaller creek/crick. Most people wouldn’t even consider fishing there. Thank you for taking us along.
So lucky to do what you do brother, as always great video and I Love and miss Creek fishing, been a long time, good luck and hope you catch a giant, lol
Wow that was awesome Spencer, gotta love that creek fishing. Was raised fishing in them, pop's always took us.Those thermal cells sure help out rt. What some nice Fatty's.💯💯👍👍
I enjoy the hell out of your channel and I've gone back to watch every one of your vids. I really enjoy the kayaking for big flats. The catch and cooks are great too. It would be great to see Ella fight a 100# flat
Love the flathead videos bro always a great time watching your videos and your approach to fishing different styles and different species keep slaying em man
Hard to beat a straight shank twelve ot stainless eagle claw. Dont know what you were using but use big j-hooks for flatties. Big crick is way up so them little cricks are schizna right now. Some of em are on the nest right now depending on water temp. Usually all be on the nest after the fourth round here. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏🏾
I was using knock off gamakatsu big river hooks. I'm learning you have to stick em pretty good with those hooks. I think they're starting to spawn here. Caught some beat up ones. Thanks for watching sir!
It was a saltwater catfish, but finally got my son his first catfish catch. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so excited to reel in 😆 I never really had much luck with freshwater catfish. I’ve caught a few unexpectedly on spinners and worms
@@RiverCertified I grab them by the lip 99% of the time. I’ve heard too many stories about the spines. I unhook the fish for him for now. We haven’t gotten that far yet. He’s wanting to go fish for some bass now so that’s on the agenda for the weekend 🤘
Great video once again!!! Hey your cubbies are struggling this year after you took Counsel from us.. But I guess we are doing ok 🤗.. GO BREWERS.. Haha just kidding you know I got to pick on you. Can’t wait till your next video.. 🙏🙏
The Brewers are running an awesome organization right now. Cubs definitely can't say that. I'll keep sticking with them no matter how bad their offense is. Thanks for watching!
Just for perspective, I remember back in the 60's at a little fishing camp somewhere in central Canada the owner would fire up his lawnmower and stroll around the camp emitting a prodigious cloud of smoke for the bugs. He had a gallon can wired to the handles and a thin tube running to the muffler dripping a mixture of used motor oil and DDT. I'll bet neither your gizmo nor your mosquitos are as harmful as that rig! Oh well, the fishing was good for pike and walleye and I'm still fishing. Great adventure and a couple slob flatheads!
We used to do that in south Texas before a party I remember seeing my dad ride in reverse because the muffler was in the front that fog sure did work for the mean time
Wow. That was incredible skinny water fishing. Great work man! Also - I can't believe the numbers of mozzies. Wonder what they feed on when there's no fishermen around.
Hello Mr Spencer just wanted to tell you I really enjoy your videos and I thank you for sharing them just wanted to tell you be careful around those rivers and all of that brush keep your eye out for cottonmouths Intex and all that junk I've been there I know what it's like but those are nice flat heads again I really enjoy your videos but take care of yourself man and be careful I'll catch you on your next video your friend Billy Simmons
Yes indeed, Dandies bro! 🤘🤘✌️, I used to fish the paylakes back in the day, 90's, but I know of several fellas, including myself, would catch the same flathead like 5 or 6 times in a 24 hr period, either their just really hungry or have a short term memory, maybe a little of both, long as they get released pretty good and not hurt too bad, meaning not hooked too bad, they'll keep coming back.
I have questions that I hope you see and can answer. One, why do you still consistently fish with braid for your main line? Do you use a long leader/topshot for abrasion resistance? I’ve noticed you also use big river j hooks regularly instead of kahles/circles. How often do you hook flatheads deeply instead of in the corner of the mouth? I know the hookup ratio is better with j hooks, but I’ve historically had more fish get hooked in the throat with them as opposed to other hook styles. I apologize if you’ve explained that in other videos and I haven’t seen them. I love your videos, and I’ve reached o it to you before via email. Best of luck from western PA.

It was definitely my lucky day. I've had some blanks once the spawn started, so it makes those nights even better. Thanks a ton man!
He has caught more big cats. He still gets fired up catching any fish. Good dude
My boy does it again. Dude, you'd make a bass fisherman switch his game up to chasing kitty's trying to keep it a secret from his buddies 😂
Haha the closet catfisherman

Those were some big slobs ,that's a great night of flathead catching ,thanks for the trip Spencer
I appreciate that Jim. Thanks for watching.

It amazes me how you manage to catch as many flatheads as you do. I'm jealous. Awesome video. Beavers had fun with ya bud

Not hard if you put the time in eventually you'll catch them too
@@Digglerdirk79-l4y it’s not hard you say ? Let’s see all of your pictures and videos of flatheads that you have caught if it so easy.
Thanks to you and Pig Patrol I’ve almost completely given up trout fishing for chasing Flatheads
Idk what’s more impressive the fish, or how you manage to stay upright on a muddy creek bank in a pair of crocs. You are talented Mr Bauer! 👏🏻
