This song makes me think of a kid, just an innocent kid who had a bad childhood. A bad childhood that left him with trauma, hence the "somebody showed you all of the horrors, you weren't born with it". He then joins a gang, hence the "You're a silver-tongued

White skin but you're no white dove". And eventually he meets some people and they actually love and care about him, and that scares him because he's never felt or experienced that.

It was this confluence of my angst toward the recent election - the bitter spitefulness from the bully right who I had so much experience with growing up in South Carolina - and this restrictive regime I was trapped under in my personal life. before I titled and finished the song it was a bare-bones beat with me sort of freestyling over it - literally titled ‘diss track’ on my desktop. it’s the most cathartic song and direct song for me, about how some people can’t help but take, take, take from you" -Koda

Love this song, Koda's voice, the lyrics everything about it. It makes me feel a range of emotions calm, focused, introspective I put it on if I need to finish some of my artwork or less exciting get some admin or housework done and it seems to help to speed it along.
Oddly enough, maybe it's because I'm a huge fangirl, but it really makes me think of Bucky from the Avengers...:)
