I really loved the tutorial! It was really helpful. The only changes I made were the antlers were painted resin, and I sewed the felt pieces of the ears instead of glued. I also added a tiny amount of fluff to the ears to give them a more realistic look.
Did this for a Halloween costume and they turned out really good! You explained everything very well and you left the supplies needed for it in the description which was nice because I just took a screenshot of it before I went to the store. Overall it was a great video and it was surprisingly fun to make! Thanks! P.S. For anyone who thought they had spackle at home/forgot it at the store, you can make a homemade one with flour, salt, and paint-and it works just as well.
Great job! You painted 🎨 and blended the paints superbly! Only thing was the music was much louder than your soft voice! Even turning up volume your soft voice was lost in the loud music unfortunately so I just had to watch with volume off ! Maybe don't have music while your talking? I would of liked to hear what you were saying! Other than that a great diy! Thank you for sharing your God given gifts with us all! God bless you abundantly in all things and much love from me too! ❤️ 🙏 🫂 😘
Hey, I'm a furry, and I comissoned a deer tail and got it today. Is there a way I can comisson you, or maybe you can tell me how to glue it so well to the headband? (*Chugging 2 cans of monster and wheezing*)
oh ok. lol. I wrap the pipe cleaners around the headband pretty tight before I start shaping them into antlers, then with the floral tape and paper mache, they stay pretty good. No glue should be needed. The only bit of glue I use is on the tabs of the ears that wrap around the headband. :)
Sorry my response is so late. I used strips of brown paper because it’s what was closest to me. I had some laying on the counter after packing my sons lunch. Lol. Strips of newspaper work great too. Thanks for watching❤️
I used 2 pieces of felt then pinched and glued it at the base. It makes them stand up a little better. Is that what you meant by "hard"? Thanks for watching. :)
It's been a while but I believe it took several hours. Most of which was spent applying and drying the paper mache and allowing the spackle to dry. It's a fairly easy project, just a little time consuming. 😊
Sorry about that. A few people have mentioned it. I now use a different mic and have learned to speak up a little but none of that helps this particular video.. 😩
I want to cosplay Alastor, and this tutorial looks like it's really going to help me with the ears and antlers! Thank you!
I finished the ears and antlers for my Alastor cosplay yesterday evening, using this tutorial, and I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Thank you Mandy, great tutorial.
Is there a substitute that I could use instead of the spackle
And yes I’m making my costume the night before halloween

Glue the tail to the headband?
I meant the antlers.

Ah, I only really wanted the horns.
What can I use if there are no pipe cleaners
Do u need to use the spackle
It certainly adds to the effect and makes it easier to paint but u could give it a shot and let us know how it turns out.. Thanks❤️
Do you just use regular paper for the paper mache?
Sorry my response is so late. I used strips of brown paper because it’s what was closest to me. I had some laying on the counter after packing my sons lunch. Lol. Strips of newspaper work great too. Thanks for watching❤️
Umm... Ms., FYI, can you please add a link of the background music you've add? Just type it on your description. Thanks :)
How did you make the ears look so hard ??
I used 2 pieces of felt then pinched and glued it at the base. It makes them stand up a little better. Is that what you meant by "hard"? Thanks for watching. :)
I want deer antlers for kin gear and Wiccan outfits

What is the Spackle?
It’s a light airy putty you use to fill in nail holes or cracks in places such as dry wall.

It’s called spackle. 😊
Mandy Thomas thank you

I list the materials at the beginning of the video but I went ahead and put them in the description box. Thanks for watching!
