“Let me just measure this round thing and have no idea if I’m on center”
I believe you should have drawn points on the objects to avoid problems with the skew of the imaginary line. Why didn't you use the corners of the rectangular table?
Wow, that's so cool! It's completely unusable!
With the new lidar sensors it’s going to be totally useable.
@@thegaminghobo4693 the lidar is not going to add any accuracy unfortunately . someone already did a test but it did work better in low light and calibrated itself much faster..
This tech is not ready yet!
Where can i find it on my phone
How about outdoor? Does it help an engineer taking field measurements?
Absolutely not
Just mesure a meter stick :)
You might try standing still when you measure a surface. I think that’s why your getting the lines not staying put.
Unless you are using a Lidar type sensor. Moving the device messes up the measurement.
Just saying
Thanks for the demo. Some amazing technology, but in terms of accuracy and efficiency, I'll probably just stick with a ruler. The level might be more useful, though.
Yeah, I hoped it would be a little bit more accurate. It'll be useful for when a rough estimate will do. - Dan
This app is not accurate at all I’ve measure tons of items including the measurements I wanted for a gate door I’m building and it was always about an inch and a half off. I mean if you plan on using this app it can’t be close and say it’s ok. It has to be exact or what your building is not going to fit wherever you plan on putting it. Not bad for augmented reality? What’s the point if you can’t rely on the measurements your trying to get.
I wonder if the 3d camera phones will do better?
All we had to do was move the damn iPhone
I would like to inquire if the Measure app on the iPhone can be downloaded in windows?
Imperial system always confuses me...
Clicking on the measurements will show both the Imperial and Metric values. And within iOS Settings, there's the ability to set what is the default. - Dan
Rip it doesn't even though the size of its own Mac
“Grab it with your hand” ???
I think intel Realsense Box Measurement is much accurate - sorry apple
I don't have an iPhone 💀
It can’t even measure a window! only flat surfaces! I can’t find my measuring tape so f*** measure!!
So in other words, another pointless gimmick.
